Chapter 80 - The Gap Between The Two Of Them

nHe was here solely for Su Huiqing. The others were peripheral.

nShen Anan could feel countless eyes on her, all looking at her as if she was a joke.

nAll along, she thought she had been accepted into International Association’s University because she was a true genius. All along, she thought she was really something and held much power and sway in Green City…

nShe never expected to suffer such a direct blow to her ego by Principal Dien’s harsh words!

nShe clenched her fists tightly and raised her head to see Su Huiqing glancing sideways at her. A cold and cruel smile appeared on that bright, clear face.

nA strand of silky dark hair curved along that cheek, making it look like a piece of white jade in contrast.

nA moving sight.

nWith a cold flick of her hand, Su Huiqing took out a piece of paper and a pen from her backpack. With lowered eyes, she started to write!

nNo one knew what she was writing.

nUntil about five minutes later…

nShe smacked the piece of paper down on the table.

n“The answers are all here.” She tilted her head and glanced at the Dean, Shen Anan and all those who doubted her. A cold and distant smile played upon her lips. “This will tell you I am rightfully ranked No. 3.”

nPrincipal Dien took the paper and looked through it. His initially casual expression turned into shock when he reached the bottom. He was so stunned that his fingers were trembling.

nMoments later, he kept the paper and looked at Su Huiqing.

n“I just asked your teacher and he said that you didn’t answer the final question on the international language test.” Principal Dien continued looking at Su Huiqing with profound eyes.

nIt was because of that question that she had seven marks deducted from her score, such that she had two points less than the first-place ranking.

nSu Huiqing swung her backpack behind her and shoved one hand into her pocket. “Oh… perhaps I forgot.”

n“Forgot…” Principal Dien shook his head with a faint smile. “Do you know that you remind me of one of my students? She would never answer the final question of the international language test. Even her name… sounds very much like yours.”

nPrincipal Dien looked at Su Huiqing. Her tone, her mannerisms, and even that vibe she exuded which made one easily trust her…

nThey were alike. Too alike.

nSuch that the moment he saw that name on the list, he immediately rushed over.

nBut the face was different.

nThe age was different.

nThe physique was also different.

n“Like me?” Su Huiqing lowered her eyes slightly and gazed at Principal Dien. Her voice was emotionless. “Where is she then?”

n“She…” Principal Dien replied calmly, “We are all waiting for her to return.”

nSu Huiqing’s lips gave a slight twist. “What if she doesn’t return?”

n“We will continue waiting.” Principal Dien waved. “Alright, this matter cannot be resolved by you alone. On account of the fact that you are very much like her, I will help you settle the rest of this matter. I will seek justice for you.”

nSu Huiqing replied, “Thank you then.”

nWith that, she turned but didn’t leave immediately.

nInstead, she looked at Class 11, the head teacher and the bunch of students standing behind them.

nThese people had stood up for her earlier.

nShedding her usual nonchalant attitude, she said very seriously, “Regarding today’s incident, I…”

nShe was standing with her back toward the light, and her eyes were a deep black.

n“Will never forget it!”

nHer every word dripped with gravity, making it seem like a promise.

nHer face was clear and pristine.

n“Don’t worry, Queen Su. We will wait here until the Principal announces the results. Only then will we leave!”

n“Across the whole wide world, our Queen is the most beautiful!”

nShen Anan just felt like puking blood on hearing such words!

nShe strode forward and retrieved the piece of paper from Principal Dien’s hands. She did not believe that Su Huiqing could come up with the answers just like that. “Principal Dien, are you trying to protect Su Huiqing?!”

n“I don’t know why, but someone who deserves to be in the spotlight is being accused of cheating. Meanwhile, someone who is of mediocre standards is being idolized. Student Shen Anan, I suspect that you plagiarized the investment portfolio you wrote in your answers.” Principal Dien stared at Shen Anan coldly before looking at the rest of the students. “What Su Huiqing wrote on this paper is the answer to one of the toughest questions from Monster University’s own exams. In the 20 years since this question first appeared, only three have been able to answer it correctly. Su Huiqing of Yi Zhong High School is the third.”

nPrincipal Dien was a legend to everyone at present.

nNo one doubted his words.

nAnyway, everyone knew that Su Huiqing had written the answer in front of them all just now.

nA piece of paper filled to the brim.

nSuch a complicated calculation method.

nSuch a tremendous mathematical ability.

nNo way this could be produced by mere copying.

nEveryone recalled the words that Su Huiqing had spoken earlier.

nI have always lived my life the way I wanted.

nLet’s see each other at the mock examinations.

nI am rightfully ranked No. 3…

nThey could feel that she had been entirely serious when she said those words.

nShen Anan was no longer able to hear anything. Her mind was consumed by a buzzing noise after reading through Su Huiqing’s paper. She quickly discovered that all the formulas on that piece of paper…

nShe could not understand a single one of them!

nAnd that handwriting of Su Huiqing’s, which Teacher Wan had praised so fervently…

nShen Anan didn’t know how to describe her current state of mind. She quickly realized something. When she had been touted a young talent in Yi Zhong High School, when she had smugly won the calligraphy prize, when she had airily accepted all that public praise… Su Huiqing had never been inferior to her in any way. In fact, Su Huiqing had never had much regard for her at all.

nBecause those little achievements of hers were not even worth mentioning in Su Huiqing’s eyes.

nOne with a No. 3 placing.

nOne who was not even on the list.

nThe gap between the two of them was… as wide as the distance between heaven and hell.

n
