nWhen Lu Manman arrived at the commercial building, it was already past six.

nGu Xin had finished her shopping already and was waiting for her at the restaurant’s entrance. Seeing her arrive, she whined. “Miss, could you possibly walk slower!”

n“I just got back from the Lu family’s main household. This is my limit.” Lu Manman explained as she entered the dining room with Gu Xin.

nThe environment in the dining room was nice. There was a huge balcony with glass panels all around. One could look up at the stars in the sky and down at the colorful lights of Wen City. It was gorgeous.

nThe two of them were led by an attendant to a table by a floor-to-ceiling window. At this point, the evening lights were still on, and the scenery of Wen City was beginning to appear.

n“Miss, would you like to dine in?” the attendant asked politely.

n“Mm-hm,” Gu Xin said as she put down her shopping bags.

nThe attendant respectfully handed her the menu.

nGu Xin browsed through the documents casually and suddenly stopped in her tracks. She looked up at Lu Manman and smiled deviously. “You actually have the ‘Lu Manman is Yuanxiu’s’ dish?”

nLu Manman eyed Gu Xin with disgust.

nWhat was there to tease!

nJust when both of them thought that this was just an ordinary dish in the restaurant, the attendant smiled and said, “Yes, but only Miss Lu Manman can enjoy this dish.”

n“What?!” Gu Xin’s eyes widened. She was about to open the next page when she realized something.

n“If Miss Lu Manman needs this, I will get the chef to prepare it for you,” the attendant said to Lu Manman with a nice smile.

nEven though she knew that everything was just for show, Mo Yuanxiu had gone so far… Could she really say that she couldn’t take it?!

nGu Xin, on the other hand, was intrigued. As if she wasn’t worried about the situation being blown out of proportion, she said, “We want this dish.”

n“Gu Xin.” Lu Manman furrowed her brows.

n“What’s wrong with that? I would like to see what Mo Yuanxiu is going to do,” Gu Xin said to the attendant. “I want to order a serving of ‘Lu Manman is Yuanxiu’s’ dish and a set meal for best friends. Open the bottle of red wine that I kept here last time.”

n“Yes, Miss Gu. Please hold on for a moment.” The attendant left respectfully.

nGu Xin looked in the direction of the attendant and then smiled deviously at Lu Manman. “Do you think Mo Yuanxiu will appear out of thin air?”

nLu Manman drank her lemonade and glanced at Gu Xin.

n“You’re actually looking forward to it, aren’t you?” Gu Xin asked.

nLu Manman could not understand it. She was already thirty! Why was she still so childish?!

nOh, right!

nShe was thirty, and Gu Xin was only twenty-three.

nShe could not hold it against her.

nTen minutes passed.

nGu Xin was getting bored waiting when the lights in the cafe went off.

nEveryone gasped in shock. The next moment, the glass above their heads that was originally transparent began to glow with a faint blue light. The light was barely visible, and the vastness of the universe was revealed.

nAt that moment, a beam of yellow light came from afar, and a man was pushing some dishes onto the dining table.

nLu Manman’s eyes flickered, and she pursed her lips for some reason.

nGu Xin looked at her and then at the man. “Mo Yuanxiu really appeared out of thin air!”

nLu Manman was in a daze as she looked down.

nMo Yuanxiu walked toward them and stopped in his tracks.

nGu Xin looked at him with interest and then at Lu Manman. She said in her nice voice, “Miss Lu, your order.”

nLu Manman looked up slightly. The dim light made everything seem so peaceful and nice.

nMo Yuanxiu was in a black suit. His figure was upright, and his facial features were distinct and beautiful.

nGu Xin rested her chin on her hands as she looked at the two of them. For a moment, she felt that Mo Yuanxiu was more compatible with Lu Manman than Wen Yun was… However, not too long ago, she had felt that Wen Yun and Manman were a match made in heaven.

n“Aren’t you going to take a look at what it is?” Mo Yuanxiu smiled.

n“Not interested.”

n“Who says I’m not interested? I’d love to see it,” Gu Xin hurriedly said, giving Lu Manman a dirty look.

nMo Yuanxiu opened the golden cover, and inside was a bowl of egg fried rice.

nIt did not look good.

nGu Xin scoffed. “I thought it was something amazing. Mo Yuanxiu, you’re so insincere.”

n“I tried my best. Getting someone who has never used a spatula to cook such a bowl of egg fried rice is not so easy.” Mo Yuanxiu placed the bowl in front of Lu Manman. “Enjoy.”

nWith that, he turned around and left.

nGu Xin’s eyes went wide, and she couldn’t say a word for a while.

nThe lights in the living room were getting brighter.

nGu Xin watched as Mo Yuanxiu left. She turned around and said, “He’s too casual…”

nHer voice suddenly stopped.

nGu Xin could see the sweet smile on Lu Manman’s face.

nHas she really fallen for Mo Yuanxiu?

nBut that guy is a scumbag!

n“Wa! Wa!” A cry of surprise sounded beside her.

nLu Manman and Gu Xin turned around at the same time to look at the huge building opposite them. A huge heart was lit up by the light, and in the middle of it were words written in English: Marry me!

n“Must it be this romantic?” Gu Xin mumbled. “It’s making me jealous.”

nLu Manman did not seem bothered at all. She turned around and looked at the bowl of egg fried rice.

nMo Yuanxiu was too crazy!

nThis move would probably shock Wen Yun so much that he would break down.

nMoreover, that man wouldn’t stoop so low as to beg her. It would seem like he had no dignity at all, so he should be suppressing his anger at this point.

nShe felt good about it.

nShe smiled inexplicably.

n“You’re smiling so radiantly. Do you really like Mo Yuanxiu?” Gu Xin asked as she turned around.

n“It’s just a casual smile.” Lu Manman looked up calmly. “Gu Xin, remember that everything you see now is fake. It’s not worth getting jealous over.”

n“What does that mean?”

n“Figure it out yourself.”

n“Lu Manman…”

n“Di An is over there.” Lu Manman suddenly pointed to a corner, interrupting her.

n
