n“I need a bag to carry a living beast without it suffocating”.

nThe Frost Crane stood on top of a boulder that morning as he looked at the sun rise from the east. The golden glow brightening his face also brightened his mind.

nHis short white hair embraced his head more tightly as the morning breeze blew from the sea, the sounds of the sea waves also reached his ears.

nToday was the D-Day of their escape.

nOn hearing what the kid now renowned as the Young Nightmare said, he nodded and without a word led him to his cave where he brought out the aforementioned bag to carry a living beast.

nOnce Legolas got his hands on the special bag, he was about to turn around to leave but he hesitated, drawing the attention of the Frost Crane in the process.

n“Do you need anything else?”

n“Actually, yes”. Legolas took a deep breath.

nFor the past 2 days after he became a Grade E Summoner, though he did not have the chance to become friends with the Frost Crane, both of them already cooperated enough to understand and respect each other.

nLegolas finally spoke. “I want to buy a subclass from you”.

nThe Frost Crane kept quiet for 10 seconds before he finally spoke. “What is the payment?”

n“I’ll owe you a favor”. Legolas said this with all seriousness.

nAfter the past 2 days, he already classified the Frost Crane as an intelligent superhuman. If the Frost Crane was as intelligent as he thought, then he would surely know that making him owe a favor was a great opportunity.

nAt just 15 years old, he was already such a monstrous and intelligent Summoner, only God knew what he would become at 20.

nAgain, Legolas got to see the personal collection of the Frost Crane. His decision to choose the Agent subclass was not made on a whim, he made the decision because he understood the benefits that it could bring.

nIn the early stages, due to their weak personal strength, Summoners mostly made up with subclasses and was what Legolas intended to do.

nIn this escape battle, he knew that he needed a combat subclass.

nThe Frost Crane opened his leather box and brought out a pamphlet. Once Legolas placed his hands on the pamphlet, his virtual game interface lit up.

nThe Frost Crane eyed the young warrior. “Subclasses take a long time to understand, learn, and master, you can’t possibly be thinking of learning it now, right?”

nLegolas raised his head to look the Frost Crane in the eye and sighed inwardly as he remembered a meme from his previous world. “Comrades without knowledge, they don’t know what’s going on, they don’t know…”

nHe fought hard to suppress his pity for the Frost Crane. “That’s impossible of course,” he laughed. “I’ll learn it after we escape”.

n“Then I’m relieved”. The Frost Crane smiled.

nThe Frost Crane was about to motion for them to leave but Legolas smiled. After having the Frost Crane open his leather box already, leaving like that would be too simple for him, he was too experienced to leave empty-handed.

n“Please, can I just look through your catalog of books?”

nThe Frost Crane’s eyes narrowed as his aura instantly turned aggressive but Legolas raised his hands in surrender. “Easy, easy…, I’m not opening them, I just want to look at their titles, won’t even take 5 seconds”.

nThe Frost Crane relented a bit but he remained vigilant. “And what do you expect to gain?”

n“Let’s just call it getting pointers from a senior in the Summoner field. Just seeing the title of your books may help me a lot in my journey as a Summoner”.

nIn the end, after much sweet-talking, the Frost Crane relented. Legolas grinned as he started picking the books, 2 minutes later, his interface lit up.

nSeeing that the kid kept to his words, the Frost Crane heaved a sigh of relief as he took his books back. “You’re really a trustworthy warrior”.

n“I guess I am”. Legolas smiled shamelessly.

nLegolas turned to leave. “See you in 30 minutes, and may God help us”.

n“See you”. The Frost Crane nodded with a slight smile.

nOn returning to his cave, only Lucky was in the cave still unconscious, Predator was nowhere to be found as Legolas sighed, exasperated.

nThe hot-blooded Nightmare Beast seemed to feel needles pricking its butt, it almost never stayed in one place, always feeling that itch to explore and hunt.

nAfter his visit to the Rock territory and his gains this morning, Legolas was happy but this was not the end of his preparations for the escape.

nHe still had one last thing to do which was to exhaust the gathered experience points that he gained over the past few weeks.

nTo really grow, all superhumans needed main classes and sub-classes. Without any class, superhumans who awakened the super gene could only level up to level 10 before their growth was capped.

nTo level up further, they needed main classes and sub-classes.

nIt was after getting his main class and subclass that Legolas could level up further. 1 level for the main class equaled an overall level up, but 2 levels for a subclass was what equaled an overall level up for a superhuman.

nLegolas’s Summoner main class had 10 levels and his Beast Tamer subclass had 20 levels. At level 20 now, he already leveled his Beast Tamer sub-class to level 12 which was equivalent to 6 levels in his overall level up.

nAs for his Summoner main class, he already leveled it to level 4. After each level up, the experience points required to level up increased.

nAfter removing his deficit over the past few weeks, his grind alongside his pet and his contracted beast was able to amass him 15,000 experience points.

nNow, Legolas was ready to splurge them all.
