nAs soon as Legolas jumped through the rainbow bridge, his luck today seemed to be wobbly as he saw himself in the midst of a Wolf pack.

nChristensen yelped in shock as he saw the pack of wolves.

nNot exactly a wolf pack, Legolas felt goosebumps as he looked at these wolves. For some reason, he didn’t feel like he was looking at a wolf pack, he rather felt like he was looking at an elite unit of scout wolves.

nThe Wolves were that organized.

nInstantly after he arrived, the wolves detected his presence.

nLegolas chuckled awkwardly as he waved at them. “Hi…, it seems I lost my way, I’ll just take this way and leave, I didn’t see anything”.

n“Roar!”

nThe leader of the Wolves roared as instantly, the other Wolves understood his command as without hesitation, they started surrounding these 2 humans.

nDue to his honest intentions of looking for his seemingly lost wolf, Legolas didn’t seek Predator’s assistance this time and simply rather opened the rainbow bridge at the direction that his telepathic connection with Akela directed him to.

nHe also directed Christensen not to bring Leo along for some weird reason.

nHe never expected to drop in the middle of a pack of wild wolves.

n“F*ck!”. Legolas cursed as he moved instantly.

nChristensen dared not hesitate as he instinctively obeyed his master’s orders.

nThe Wolves barely moved before Legolas moved.

nLegolas allowed Christensen to move before him so with him now at the back, he became the easiest target for the wolves.

nOne of the faster Wind Wolves pounced on him but having read its intentions already, Legolas bent his body to an impossible angle as using the momentum of hitting his body against the Wolf, he slid under it.

nAll the Wolves that surrounded him were Grade E beasts.𝗈𝑽𝑙xt.𝓬𝑶𝗆

nThough to a Summoner like him without any of his contracted beasts, they were still deadly, they were nowhere as deadly to him like before. At this moment, he was a Grade D Summoner with far superior attributes.

nLegolas glided through the Wolves like he was a leaf.

nChristensen intended to pull out his G-96 Pistols but Legolas stopped him.

n“Stay your hand, I feel that something is wrong though I’m not sure”.

nWith his better dexterity, Legolas floated through the tiny holes in their formations like a leaf. In the end, these Wolves seemed to be really scouts, none of them were really combat Wolves with a lot of battle experience.

nHaving learned to fight invisible enemies alongside Leo during his training already, Christensen performed admirably as he also evaded the wolves.

nLegolas nearly wriggled his way through them all without drawing his sword until he finally met their leader, the massive Wind Wolf pounced on him.

nLegolas could not dodge as the Wolf’s mighty claws slammed against his arms that he used to block, injuring him.

nAs soon as blood flowed, Legolas no longer dared underestimate them.

nHe had no intentions of killing them yet though, this was a strange situation in the beast plane and he wanted to get to the bottom of what was happening.

nAs he fell down injured, Legolas finally made his real move.

nLegolas’s eyes gleamed. “Number 1 rule when fighting beasts that are weaker than you but are troublesome if you don’t want to kill them, tame their leader. When you tame their leader, you tame them all”.

nHaving gotten used to his master starting lecture sessions randomly, Christensen was all ears as he dutifully took note of the new lesson.

n“Awoo!” The massive Wind Wolf roared as it pounced on Legolas.

nNot this time though, having activated his Combat Master ability already, Legolas’s power increased as through a brief moment of combat genius, he briefly overpowered the Wolf by using its momentum against it.

nBam!

nLegolas slammed the Wind Wolf against the ground.

n“Yeah, master, get him!” Christensen cheered as he continued dodging.

nWith the Wolf on the ground, as it struggled, Legolas placed his right hand on its head and waited. His virtual interface lit up the next moment.

n“Tell them to stop!” Legolas ordered instantly.

n“Roar!”

nThe Wind Wolf roared at the others as they obeyed and all stopped fighting. They were slightly hesitant, so this Wolf had to howl at them some more before they became completely docile before these 2 humans.

nLegolas squatted beside it and patted its soft fur.

n“Hey buddy, tell me what’s happening”.

n“Awoo!”

nSince this was not his contracted beast, it took some time and gestures before Legolas could understand what the beast was saying since this was not his contracted beast and he could not communicate telepathically with it.

nLegolas’s eyes widened after the explanation.

n“What?” Christensen asked curiously.

nLegolas looked around in confusion. “A Wind Wolf called Akela challenged Conan, the overlord of the Steep Hills to a Wolf war?”

nHe scratched his head. “The f*ck has Akela been up to recently?”

nSuddenly feeling a light of epiphany light in his head, Legolas turned to look at the direction where the scout wolves who apparently belonged to Conan scouted. His eyes widened as he saw hundreds of wolves sprinting across.

nDust rose from the ground as the wolves moved.

nLegolas’s mouth opened wide. “Is…, Akela leading that horde?”

n“…”

nChristensen looked at his master speechlessly.

nA few hundred meters from the main hill of the Steep Hills which was Conan’s territory, the 250 wolves that made up Akela’s army camped behind a massive rock as they discussed their war plan for the last time.

nBehind this rock was the corpse of other wolves, Conan’s scouts which they encountered. They didn’t hesitate to slaughter their enemies.

nAkela stood on top a smaller rock and addressed the wolves.

n“Our war plan to remove the tyrant is simple, remember that we don’t have the numbers of our opponents”.

n“A tyrant’s rule always breed wolves who are brave enough to revolt”.

n“Some of his wolves are already his greatest enemies without his knowledge, we will take advantage of his ignorance and arrogance”.

n“We will invade through the narrow tunnel”.

n“We will invade fast and strike hard”.

n“Remember, we’ll avoid a head-on battle, our main target is Conan”.

n“Once we corner him, I’ll force him into a Vrka Yuddha”.

n“The end outcome is evident, I will kill the tyrant and liberate all wolves of the Steep Hills”.

nAs the hundreds of wolves howled, their loud howls forming a crazy cacophony in the air, Akela basked in all their energy as his blood started burning hotter. He could already feel the drums of war beating.

nAkela roared as he led the charge to the enemies.
