nLegolas could not help but think as he recalled how epic Akela and Conan’s battle was, the moment kept on playing in his head for the past 2 days.

nAnd for the past 2 days, though he wanted very much to meet his wolf, after becoming the new Alpha, there were a lot of things that needed Akela’s attention.

nInstantly after the outcome of the Vrka Yuddha became evident, all the wolves bowed in submission to the new Alpha Wolf of the Steep Hills.

nFor the rest of that day, the joyous howls of the wolves kept on reverberating through the Steep Hills as the wolves celebrated their victory and the heralding of a new era to all wolves of the Steep Hills.

nThey didn’t know if Akela was going to be a better ruler than Conan, but one thing was sure, and that was that the tyrant Conan was no longer their alpha.

nAmid the celebrations, inside his new cave and throne, Nymeria and the other 18 Grade D wolves stood before their new alpha and addressed him.

nOf course, the emphasis was for Akela to get an Alpha Female.

nIn the history of the wolves, there had never been an Alpha who didn’t have an Alpha Female. Once this topic was brought up, Akela was tongue-tied and stunned but a certain wolf made everything easier for him.

n“I know that the Alpha is tired after the intense Vrka Yuddha”.

n“If he is willing, I am ready to liberate him from most of his troubles and help him usher the wolves of the Steep Hills into a new prosperous era”.

n“If he is willing, I will become his mate”.

nLegolas who listened in through his telepathic connection with his beast coughed blood, he was amazed at the boldness of this Wolf.

nHe didn’t have to think long before he advised his wolf though.

nA Light Wolf with healing abilities was invaluable to him.

nHe gave Akela his sagely advise. ‘Nymeria is a beautiful and vigorous Wolf, she will make a good companion to you to help you fulfill your dreams’.

n‘If master wills it, I accept’. Akela was as humble and compliant as ever.

nWith a serious look on his white face, Akela looked at the white wolf that also looked back at him. “I accept you as my Alpha Female”.

nThat day, it was double celebration for the wolves of the Steep Hills.

nFor the next 2 days, Akela while organizing the wolves also appointed positions to all 18 Grade D Wolves under his command. Of course, he gave the positions that were closest to him to Bone and the 3 Rogue brothers.

nAfter this, he finally left his territory with his wife to meet his master.

nStanding before Legolas, Akela forfeited all the pride that came with his new status as he bowed his head and lowered his tail in submission.

nSeeing his behavior, though stunned, Nymeria also reciprocated.

n“Master, I hope I have made you proud”.

nLegolas smiled as he walked closer to the Wind Wolf and rubbed its fur, he whispered into his ears. “You have done beyond making me proud, 18 Grade D Wolves? You have exceeded all my expectations for you”.

nPredator roared as he brutishly marched towards the Grade D Wind Wolf before bashing him with his snout, he sniffed Nymeria before turning away.

nThis was Predator’s brutish way of congratulating his bro for his achievement. Wolves were beasts but at the Grade D realm, apart from developing intelligence, they also developed emotions.

nAs Predator walked away, Akela’s eyes turned watery.

n“Thank you, bro”.

n“Without you, I never thought I’ll become a Grade D Wolf in this lifetime”.

nPredator simply grunted in reply, implying that Akela shouldn’t mention. Legolas wanted to whip the Nightmare beast’s head so bad, though he’ll never admit it, Legolas knew that Predator felt flattered at being thanked.

nFrom on top Legolas’s shoulders, Bran croaked as he also congratulated his big brother for the feat that he achieved.

nLegolas already trained his contracted beasts to see each other as brothers, and they saw Brutus and Leo as brothers too.

nLeo also congratulated Akela for his feat.

nChristensen grumbled. “When will you become a Wolf Champion yourself?”

nLegolas wacked his student on the head. “Don’t ruin the atmosphere”.

nBy now, Nymeria already understood what happened. As a Grade D Wolf, she knew about humans and contracted beasts already, she turned to look at her husband with a complicated look at her face.

nAkela looked back at her with a slight apologizing expression on his wolf face. The next moment, he turned back to look at his master.

n“Master, meet my Alpha Female, Nymeria”.

nLegolas went closer and rubbed her fur affectionately, Nymeria allowed it as Legolas smiled. “She’ll make a good companion for you”.

nThen he glared at Akela. “Make sure you take care of her”.

n“I will”. Akela grinned.

nLegolas finally got ready to leave the beast plane.

n“Master, whenever you need me, ask, I’ll be there”.

nLegolas smiled at his beast’s parting words. For some reason, he felt like a proud dad, the feeling of seeing your child grow up felt so satisfying.
