nAfter confirming yesterday after his experiment with Legolas that humans could naturally survive the rigors of Giant rune implantation, he immediately kickstarted an ambitious plan of his that he had envisioned long ago.

nIf he realized this ambition, he would be able to implant Giant runes into every single living human in Planet Darvis, essentially fulfilling his longtime dream.

nDuring the old era, Newton Barnes mostly known by the old generation as the Chemical Demon built a name for himself through his research results.

nAt first, Newton became a chemist to make his powers as an Elementalist more lethal and become the strongest superhuman in the Planet.

nAfter developing his strength to a peak though, he diverted his attention to improving human life. Through most of the chemical products and tonics that he made, humans increased their compatibility with super energy.

nThis contributed a lot in the golden age of superhumans that followed.

nWith this, Newton became a legend of Planet Darvis.

nClown wanted to emulate his master, not just emulate but exceed him.

nHe believed that if he could integrate Giant runes in every human, he would essentially contribute to the evolution of the human race which would automatically make him the greatest legend that ever-graced Planet Darvis.

nThe only problem now was that his plan was not working.

nHe looked at the bloody mess that were left of his test subjects with a troubled look on his face. “What went wrong…?”

n“Where did I go wrong?”

n“What am I missing?”

nAfter thinking for minutes, he turned to his assistants with a crazy look on his face and ordered. “Bring in more test subjects!”

n“Yes, your Excellency”.

nJust a few minutes later, screams filled this research lab as they echoed across this hideout loudly. What followed after the screams were explosions and bloody pieces of flesh flying everywhere like slingshots.

nThis lab became tainted with a deep aura of death, Clown was used to it though so he didn’t react much to it.

nHe still frowned due to what he discovered. “Incompatibility…”

n“My body suppressed the incompatibility complications because of my Grade C energy, what of Legolas?”

nHis eyes narrowed. “I thought he finally accepted it because I got it right”.

n“Is Legolas the only test subject that is below the Grade C realm that can accept Giant rune implantation?”

n“Does this mean I can’t fulfill my plan?” He clenched his fists.

n“No!” His eyes flashed crazily. “There has to be a way!”

n“Bring me Legolas!”

n“Yes, your Excellency”.

nThe same way that Planet Darvis had connections to the Elemental plane, the beast plane, and the underworld, it also had connections to the Abyss.

nThis hole in the Hellfire Mountains was one of these rare locations that connected to the Abyss, some of the Abyss’ dark energy leaked here.

nOriginally, few survived being exposed to this potent dark energy.

nLegolas was not sure if his captors knew about the unique abilities of Nightmare Beasts since Elementalists were predominant in the Clown Society.

nExposed to the potent dark energy, Predator entered a rapid growth state. His growth was so rapid that he had to be covered by a black crystalline cocoon and inside this cocoon, Legolas observed his beast growing every second.

nIn just the past day since being dumped here, Predator already leveled up twice from the potent dark energy seeping into his body.

nIt would not take much longer before Predator evolved to the Grade C realm.

nLegolas felt mixed feelings. ‘Can I call this a blessing or a curse…?’

n‘Definitely a blessing!’

nPredator’s opportunity was the only reason why he was not yet dead. Through the regeneration that he got through his connection with his beast, he was able to offset the acclimatization process to the Magic Rune.𝑜𝚟𝓁xt.𝐜𝗈𝐦

nDue to this crazy opportunity that fell into his hand, Legolas’s brain already became active as a lot of plans went through his head but he mostly shelved them for the moment as something occupied his mind.

nThough Legolas was extremely curious to know the truth now, the more he asked, the more it became apparent to him that he could not know it now.

nHe looked at himself. ‘I need to get stronger to know the truth behind these mysteries’. As he spoke, his curiosity was already being aroused again.

nHe knew that he was about to undergo another round of experiments.

nThis was the price to pay as a captive of a crazy scientist.

nLegolas distracted himself even as Clown started observing his body with pure amazement at how much he adapted to the Magic Runes.

n‘What will happen after the acclimatization process ends?’

n‘At this rate, Predator would evolve soon, I need to plan ahead…’

nHe barely finished when the crazy scientist started.

nLegolas bit his tongue, tearing his lips as blood flowed. “Agggrhh…!!!”
