Chapter 263 Treading The Thin Line Of Death; Bravery Or Stup

nInstantly after doing it, Blade discovered the stupidity in doing it.
nHe almost wavered and regretted his decision but he remembered one thing, or more accurately, he remembered a moment, a word his Master once said.
n‘Christensen, Summoners are not Pugilists or Elementalists, we use our brain more’. This moment floated back into his ears like it was the present.
nAt that moment, his master was not speaking to him but Blade drew inspiration and courage from it. He took the words from the perspective of a Pugilist.
nInstantly after he recalled it, Blade’s brain geared into overdrive.
n‘If Summoners use more of their brains, what do Pugilists use more of?’
nThe question only lingered for a moment in his head before he found the answer. ‘Unlike Summoners and Elementalists, we focus on one thing, our body’.
n‘If they use their brain more, we use our body and grit more’.
n‘If they exceed their limits by learning new class knowledges and performing intelligent feats, we exceed our limits by breaking barriers that were originally accepted as impossible for warriors of our caliber’.
n‘We break our limits by relying on our body and grit’.
n‘While they can retreat to strategize, we only forge on and on’.
n‘We never retreat, we never surrender…, that is a Pugilist’.
nEven as he came to these realizations, Blade saw a gigantic figurine of the greatest Pugilist that he had ever witnessed in action appear in his mind.
nIn his mind, Jon Stones’ figurine nodded at him in approval.
nThis was all that Blade needed.
nInstantly, the prospects of clashing against this powerful Grade C Pugilist no longer was a vague task to Blade, his priorities became clearer. He now felt that to validate his identity as a Pugilist, he must fight Abaddon.
nThis realization opened a dam in Blade’s head, he achieved a feat that he had never achieved before. On the spot with his life on the line, Blade succeeded in creating a new exclusive Pugilist ability.
nBlade’s pitch-black eyes gleamed.
n“Special Talent: Cell Regeneration!”
n“Blade Specialty: Blade of Grit!”
nHe glared at Abaddon. “I AM A PUGILIST!!!”
nThe Grade C Pugilist’s hand smashed against the sword slash, the impact that followed was like exploding dominoes.
nBOOM!
nThe bright light briefly blinded every spectator who watched.
nThe shockwave was mighty, it swept across like a tsunami, drowning a lot of psychopaths who could not hide from its impact on time in its destruction.
nWhen the light died down, Blade was in a pool of his own blood.
nHe was not lying on the ground, he remained standing but in a squatting position. The force of Abaddon’s fist was so mighty that it strained his stance, the veins in his legs burst as blood flowed due to enduring the mighty force.
nHis legs shook even as his eyes remained gleaming in determination.
nAs for his hands, it was not much different, his whole body felt like it just went through a heavenly tribulation.
nBlade felt weak but he grinned. “I survived…”
nThe thing about every heavenly tribulation was that surviving it granted the recipient more power, surviving a power of this caliber opened Blade’s eyes to realities of the Pugilist Class that were previously hidden to him.
n“I see…” His eyes lifted in ecstasy.
nInside him, Blade could feel his Pugilist Energy revolving much faster and becoming more potent and concentrated, his power increased even as he was still in this battle of life and death.
nBlade was not sure but his gut feeling told him that if he continued this battle and survived long enough, he would finally break his limits.
nHe grabbed Poseidon’s Fury tighter and glared at his enemy. “Bring it on!”
nShing!
nThe sword literally sang with his determination.
nBlack Master Abaddon was infuriated, but before he could move, someone did. While he clashed against Blade, Di Castello became a free participant.
n“Castello Specialty: Triple Rod Smash!”
nBam! Bam! Bam!
nAbaddon felt like hammers slammed against his head, he felt dizzy.
nHe did not expect the sudden attack but Blade did, his Precognition was no joke. Instantly after Abaddon became dizzy, he attacked.
nWhoosh!
nWith incredible proficiency, Blade leaped into the air before digging the sharp tip of his sword into the chest of his opponent who was jolted awake.
nBlack Master Abaddon was jolted awake by the searing pain.
nOn seeing a Grade D Pugilist’s sword on his chest, this Black Master lost it. The humiliation battered against his senses like the waves of a raging Ocean.
n“You must die…!!!” He lost it completely.
nBlack Master Abaddon directly ignored his primary opponent and chased after Blade, with the focus now on him, Blade became fully exposed.
nDespite the fact that Di Castello constantly attacked and tried to harass him, Black Master Abaddon firmly went after his target in a bid to end his life.
nBlade saw misery and suffering and bravely digested it all.
nBoom!
nOne moment, a fist smashed him into the face of the earth, another moment, his ribs were screaming to be swallowed by the flames of hell, and another moment, he briefly felt that he would die.
nThe only factor that kept Blade alive was his Cell Regeneration talent, even as his vitality was drained like water, he recovered them like a stream.
nBlade stood his ground even as he was hammered and battered.
nThe more Abaddon attacked him, the more Di Castello attacked Abaddon. They both became drenched in their own blood in no time but this was when Abaddon’s advantage showed, he had more vitality than Blade.
nNo matter how ridiculous his Cell Regeneration advantage was, it had a limit, at his wits end already, Blade decided to cut his losses and kite his opponent.
nEven at the face of death, Blade still had no intentions of escaping, all he wanted was a means to kite his opponent and outlast him to death.
nAt this moment, his feat was already legendary. Never in the history of superhumans had a Grade D Pugilist lasted so long against a Grade C Pugilist.
nBlade’s head geared and the first thought that came to him was the Blue Sea.
n“Special Talent: Speed!”
nHe turned around and charged towards the gigantic sea.
nBlack Master Abaddon did not hesitate to go after him in pursuit, by now, this Pugilist was already horrified and even more humiliated. ‘Which monster am I fighting against?’
n‘Which depths of hell did this Demon come from?’
nIn his 2 centuries of living, he had never encountered a Grade D superhuman that was as ridiculously strong as this young man.
nIf Blade was not his enemy, he would have taken him as his student. Despite this though, he did not hesitate to try killing him, Blade was a threat that had to be eliminated by all means before he could maximize his incredible potential.
nThe intensity of the battle and chase increased.
nAbaddon’s attacks constantly tore the ground open till they arrived at sea, even then, his attacks still sent off earthquakes and tsunamis in the sea.
nBlade kept on running while occasionally attacking his opponent.
nWhile all this happened, Di Castello remained diligent in attacking Abaddon. Their battlefield already turned into a spectacle to the other warriors.
nBoom!
nAbaddon’s attack cut off the way forward.
nAfter 10 minutes of attacking, Blade was finally cornered. Without hesitation, Black Master Abaddon gathered his energy in a bid to finally overwhelm his opponent. Blade did not back down, he faced it head-on.
nHe grinned. “I am a Pugilist!”
nShing!
nPoseidon’s Fury resonated with his intense emotions and motivation, again, his incredible state enabled him to create another trump card ability.
n“Blade Specialty: Blade of Defiance!”
nThe blade of defiance literally turned the sky dark, the pitch-black sword energy literally bloated out the glow of the sun out of the sky.
nIt flew up towards Abaddon like a horrifying force of nature.
nAbaddon’s attack greeted it head-on. This time, this Pugilist added his all behind his attack as the collision finally happened.
nBOOM!
nCrack!
nAbaddon’s horrifying power overwhelmed Blade’s unique attack, his weapon could not withstand the force, amid intense vibration, Poseidon’s Fury shattered.
nHis weapon shattered but Blade was not done, the intense power in display again at this moment granted him another epiphany that opened his eyes.𝑜𝚟𝓁xt.𝐜𝗈𝐦
nBlade’s pitch-black eyes devoured all the details and all the power.
nHe felt that he was extremely close to breaking the limit already but…, something tiny held him back. He clicked his tongue in regret, just a simple push over the edge was all that he needed to break this limit.
n“Will I die here…?” Blade sounded both ironic and melancholic at the same time.
nAs soon as he asked this question, he felt a familiar presence.
nLooking up to the skies, the first thing that Blade saw were strange Horses pulling chariots from space. He finally recognized the familiar face, Lucky!
nInstantly after seeing Lucky, Lucky’s luck glow passive skill spread like a flood that also engulfed him in its radius.
nAs the real main character of Version 1, Blade originally had an incredible amount of luck. With the augmentation of a literal goddess of luck like Lucky, Blade finally received that simple push that he needed, the dam… broke!
nInstantly, Blade felt a feeling of liberation engulf his very being, then from the center of his very existence, a new power gushed out of his being.
nBOOM!
nThe power and aura of a Grade C Pugilist gushed out like an avalanche!
