Chapter 297 Berserk Titans!

nThis was the turning point!
nOne of Legolas’s professions in his previous life was that he trained as a martial artist. This gave him a good physique, he was strong but this was not his real passion, his real passion was still for his intellectual professions.
nHe also pursued careers as a Zoologist and a Game Developer.
nAs a Zoologist, his curiosity for wildlife and beasts was satisfied. He was exposed to so many wonders of the wild that he wanted to replicate them, at least if not in reality but through a virtual world.
nThis was what pushed him into pursuing a career as a Game Developer.
nDuring the programming and development of Dominator, he became an important consultant of the company. With his knowledge about beasts, he featured extensively in the design of the Summoner main class.
nThrough this, he was able to flex much of his knowledge and fantasies.
nDominator enabled him to create his wildest ideas, and it also enabled him to discover his strengths and weaknesses, he worked better when he was curious.
nHis curiosity made him value knowledge far more than brute strength.
nThis approach to life defined who he was as a human being.
nNow, in Planet Darvis, it also defined who he was as a Summoner. For a long time, Legolas spent so much effort driving the notion into Christensen’s head that Summoners needed to rely more on their brains than their brute strength.
nThis was as much of a reminder to his student as it was to himself.
nDriving that notion so hard in Christensen also made sure that he didn’t go astray, that was the main reason why at the last moment despite the tension, the danger of the Undying Cockroach behind them, he was calm enough to think.
nHe knew that going in blind and impulsively was detrimental.
nA single mistake due to not accounting for everything could spoil everything.
nPerhaps, if Jon Stones or even Blade followed him here, he would have been confident in their one-hit damage ability enough to let them attack the weak point in the 5-meter-tall machine but Daemon was merely a Necromancer.
nAs for the White Flame, she was merely a Support Elementalist.
nNone of them were proficient in one-hit damages and was why he was hesitant. Instead of going for brute force, in this tense moment, he fell back to his basics and decided to use his head.
nHis eyes scanned everything; his brain calculated everything.
nSeeing the Undying Cockroach charge towards Daemon with unflinching determination, he got an epiphany and remembered something from his previous life. ‘A.I’s are imperfect’.
n‘They can be efficient and all that but they are never perfect’.
n‘They lack human emotion and empathy’.
n‘They lack the ability to make complicated decisions on the spot’.
n‘They only make decisions based on the quantity of codes that were programmed into their systems which limits their options’.
n‘Alexander’s orders were to go after Daemon, since the Undying Cockroach was not designed to work here in the South, I doubt Alexander and Norman were perceptive enough to design codes to make it recognize this machine’.
n‘This means the Undying Cockroach does not respect this machine’.
n‘Which indirectly means it can be our source of firepower’.
nThese thought patterns flowed through Legolas’s head like water, he thought of them in an instant and arrived at conclusions in an instant.
nThis was why he used his new ability to teleport behind Daemon.
nOn teleporting behind the Necromancy, he told him only one thing as he was constrained by time to say more to him.
n“Please, trust me”.
nIt was a single sentence but it contained a lot of meanings.
nBefore today, Daemon and Legolas were archenemies, there was no basis of trust between them but to save his friend, the power of love made this Necromancer to lessen his cautiousness and blindly trust the Summoner.
nHe let Legolas push him towards the machine.
n“Augment it before it attacks!”
nThe White Flame was shocked but this warrior could think fast, she already more or less understood Legolas’s thought pattern and plan.
nThough she was shocked, she did not hold back, she did as was told.
nAs soon as she augmented the Undying Cockroach, this Bio-Mechanic Monster increased to an even more ridiculous level in power.
nOverflowing with power, it breath a concentrated ball of Gravity energy towards Daemon. By now, Daemon already had a guess at Legolas’s plan and though he was the human sacrifice here, for Norman, he sacrificed himself.
nEven Legolas was shocked, for a moment, he thought Daemon would bail out. ‘How close as friends were they?!’
nBOOM!
nWhen the concentrated ball of Gravity energy hit, Daemon stood no chance, his sturdy Lich skeleton was overloaded with energy before exploding the next moment. Surprisingly, the skeleton exploded easier than normal.
nThe Skeleton exploded easier than normal because Daemon self-destructed himself!
nThe combined power of the explosion paired with the concentrated ball of Gravity energy concentrated so much energy that the air became distorted.
nEven if this machine was made using the so called Arcanite or another exotic metal alloy, when still faced against so much power, it succumbed.
nThe weak point of the machine melted from outside.
nIn just a few seconds, a hole was drilled through the gigantic 5-meter-tall machine. Instantly after this, a pulse of energy spread through this Ancient Kingdom and through all the Undead Titans.
nAll the Titan’s eyes started glowing a Berserk red color even as the energy machine became unstable, this was when the 3 Champion Titans moved.
nLegolas did not know how long these 3 Titan Champion corpses had been trapped inside the energy machine, but it was probably a long time.
nAfter so long of being exploited, 2 of the Titan Champions burst out of the machine as the machine finally imploded from within.
nBOOM!
nLegolas’s eyes widened in shock. “What?!”
n“Should they not be dead?!”
nEleanor was already directing an accusatory and angry gaze towards him, Legolas was completely confused as he stared in shock as all his theories fragmented into pieces, his confidence disappeared like fleeting clouds.
n‘Was I wrong all along?’
n‘Or…, did I make a mistake?’
n‘Where did I go wrong?’
nWhile Legolas was stuck in his dilemma, the 2 Titan Champions already charged out. Like the other Undead Titans, their eyes glowed red.
nThese Undead Titans were already Berserk!
nThe worst thing was that the 2 Champion Titans were Grade C Titans!𝒐𝗏𝓁xt.𝓒𝒪𝗆
nLegolas was horrified. “What have I done?!”
nFor a moment, he felt that the Titans were out for revenge. After what the humans did with their corpses, not allowing them to rest in peace despite going extinct long ago, Legolas felt that they were out of revenge.
n‘But I literally just liberated you ungrateful bastards!’
nAmid his panic, Legolas suddenly felt a gaze, a familiar gaze.
nHe looked down only for his eyes to meet the familiar eyes of the Emperor of the Ancient Titan Empire, this Ancient Titan seemed to say a word.
nLegolas did not understand. “What?”
nHe was not answered, his consciousness was rather pulled away.
nBzzz!
nInstantly, Legolas’s consciousness left his body, leaving his body vulnerable at this tense time when the Undead Titans already became Berserk.
nShocked, Christensen grabbed his master’s body and looked at the Titans in horror. As for Eleanor, this warrior was already losing her mind.
nNow, this battle was literally left to her and her alone.
nShe stared in deep frustration and disappointment.
nShe yelled angrily. “I HATE COMRADES!”
