nThe Nightmare Beast Island…

nAfter becoming an Annihilation Nightmare Beast, Predator gained powers that were akin to that of a Pugilist. Through his sheer physical strength, this Nightmare beast could brute-force his way and tear the fabric of space open.

nThough his control over his strength was not near as sophisticated as Pugilists, Predator was still able to tear his way to teleport back home.

nNightmare Beast Island was where Predator was born.

nInstantly after he set foot on this island, Predator didn’t even bother to suppress his energy, he let his energy and power loose on all the nearby beasts.

n“Cri… cri… cri…!”

n“Chirp!” “Chirp!” “Chirp!”

n“Ki ki ki ki ki!”

nDifferent sounds instantly reverberated everywhere in muffled tones as the panicked sound of a myriad beasts were heard.

nIt was a normal day and every beast in Nightmare Beast Island was still enjoying their day and going about their activities, they never expected a Grade C Nightmare Beast to suddenly appear and spoil the show.

nPredator didn’t care that he was disrupting the lives of thousands of beasts.

nInstead, he reveled in their panic and shock.

nPredator felt an urge to cackle like a certain human that he hated.

nTo him, them panicking at his aura was only natural, this was supposed to be the natural reaction of anyone that stood before him apart from his father and his fellow contracted brothers. Everyone else should bow before his aura!

nTheir panic only served to validate his current power.

n“ROAR…!!!” Predator roared arrogantly.

nThe mighty shockwaves of his roar reverberating through this island sent every single beast silent, they knew that an apex predator was here.

nAfter the encounters in Norman’s lab, Predator changed psychologically.

nAfter being tortured and experimented on alongside his master, this Nightmare Beast’s personality became even more one-sided and slightly twisted. This intensified even more after his breakthrough.

nTo Predator, the only reason why he was tortured by Norman in the first place was because he was weak. Since then, weakness became a taboo to him.

nTo him, he deserved the torture.

nIf he was strong, he would have never been tortured. His encounters in Norman’s lab for weeks tempered this beast mentally and turned him into the mentality monster that managed to breakthrough in captivity.

nWithout Predator’s talent and determination that pushed him to improve as much as possible, the battle of Hellfire Mountains would have been different.

nLegolas would have never been powerful enough to plan and mount a comeback, this was how pivotal Predator’s contribution was to the war.

nTo the current Predator, only those that were powerful enough were deserving of his respect. Anyone else was beneath him, this was why this Nightmare Beast was not above spreading his aura tyrannically.

n“I… AM… HOME!”

n“ROAR…!!!” Predator roared again.

nA few minutes later, he arrived before the entrance to a cave. Unlike before, Predator could no longer fit into the entrance of this cave. This was the cave where Legolas met him and turned him into his first contracted beast.

nLooking at the cave, memories flowed through this beast’s head, this was where his journey officially started.

nCompared to the others like Bran, Predator was the one who overwhelmingly loved brute-force than using his brain in battle but this didn’t mean that Predator didn’t keep memories, he just kept them deeper than others.

nAfter looking at this cave to his satisfaction, Predator moved on.

nBzzz!

nOne tear of space and he arrived at his destination.

n“Predator, you are back”. The biggest and oldest Nightmare Beast who laid upon the ancient rock alongside the other 2 ancestors spoke with a smile.

n“Yes, I’m back!” Predator’s voice was full of enthusiasm.

n“Congratulations on your battle”.

nPredator conveniently ignored that. “You told me that if I want to get stronger faster, I should come meet you”.

n“I am here!” His voice radiated with excitement.

n“You…!” The smallest of the 3 Nightmare Beasts was already getting incensed again as he glared at the arrogant Nightmare Beast.

nThe biggest and oldest Nightmare Beast smiled. “I told you that you have a lot to learn about our race”.

n“I told you that if you want to get stronger faster, you have a lot to learn”.

n“Huh?” Predator glared accusingly at the gigantic Nightmare Beast.

nHe chuckled which only sounded like a roar. “Follow me”.

nPredator exhibited no doubts, as soon as the gigantic Nightmare Beast stood up, he followed him. The main reason why Predator didn’t lash out was because he could already feel that this mighty Nightmare beast was stronger than him.

nThis alone already ignited his respect for this powerful beast.𝑂𝓥𝗅xt.𝒞𝑜𝐦

nHe was not resigned to admit defeat though, he felt challenged which gave him even more motivation to keep on giving his best.

nWith different thoughts filled with battle and his current challenge flowing through his head, Predator barely knew when they arrived at their destination.

n“We’re here”. The eldest Nightmare Beast’s voice sounded calmly.

nHe turned to look at Predator. “Predator, this is where we originated from”.

n“Huh?” Predator looked closely.

nAt this moment, standing before him at the deepest core of the Nightmare Beast Island where any human had ever been to was a huge metal monster. If Legolas was here, he would easily deduce that this was a crashed spaceship.

n“This is the relic left by our father…, our ancestor”. As he said this, the gigantic Nightmare Beast became emotional as he seemed to remember the past.

nHe led the way into the ruined spaceship.

nCurious more than ever before now, Predator followed inside the spaceship. Inside was derelict and ruined, nothing much remained of the spaceship, it was a shadow of its former self. Despite the ruins, one thing remained, paintings.

nAll across the body of this spaceship, as the biggest Nightmare Beast led him in, Predator discovered that he was following a story in the painting.

nThe first painting was that of a gigantic black Dragon. Unlike other Dragons like Craxes that Predator already met, this huge black Dragon didn’t breathe red fire, it rather breath dark energy, dark flames, and manipulated metal.

nDrawn alongside it in this painting was a gigantic Snake. This Snake was far bigger than the black Dragon, it seemed to encompass the entire world.

nAt this moment, in the drawing, both beasts seemed to be embroiled in battle. Noticing Predator’s confusion, the biggest Nightmare Beast explained.

n“That is the World-Devouring Snake, Ishtra, our father’s eternal rival”.

n“And that…?”

n“Yes, that is our ancestor, Nightmare Dragon Crag”. The oldest Nightmare Beast’s voice showed outmost respect and supplication.

nPredator navigated to the next painting where he saw a Fox appear.

n“And that…?”

nThe biggest Nightmare Dragon finally showed anger for the first time. “That is the Illusion Emperor, Ariel, the backstabbing demon!”

nBy now, Predator was already drawn in by the story that the painting illustrated. Through the paintings, Crag and Ishtra were initially engaged in a battle to the death when the sly Fox intervened and stabbed Crag on the back.

nFaced against 2 of such powerful opponents, no matter how strong he was individually, Crag could not take it, he was injured.

nThe Illusion Fox and World-Devouring Snake literally pursued him to the ends of space to end his life. When it became clear that he won’t survive, the powerful Nightmare Dragon hijacked a spaceship, this spaceship.

nOverloading it with his energy, the spaceship accelerated faster than ever before, barely keeping him out of reach of his pursuing opponents.

nThrough the spaceship, Grag created a measure for his legacy and will to survive. Through the biotechnology and research machines in the spaceship, he was able to create an entirely new DNA sample that was made after his own.

nHe hoped for miniature versions of himself to survive through this.

nBy the time that he finished creating it, his enemies already caught up. Grag decisively abandoned the spaceship and sent it on course to a random location.

n“I hope you survive, my children”.

n“Live and avenge my death”.

n“As for me, my dignity won’t be tainted, I will fight till death!”

nGrag stayed true to his words, he stood his ground against his 2 overwhelmingly powerful opponents and fought till death.

nThe spaceship’s powerful sensors recorded everything and imprinted them in its body as this painting as instructed by Grag before abandoning it.

nOriginally, the spaceship without Grag’s support would have never been able to escape the enemies’ pursuit but Grag sent it on course to a blackhole. Once the blackhole dragged the Spaceship in its gravity, the enemies gave up hope.

nTo them, the spaceship won’t survive.

nThis was supposed to be the case but centuries later, the ruined spaceship arrived at an unassuming backwater planet, Planet Darvis.

n“Our Ancestor was a Dragon?!”

nBy now, even Predator was astonished by the full story.

nThe biggest and oldest Nightmare Beast didn’t say a word, he went further into the Spaceship to the pilot’s seat. There, he opened a book.

n“Apart from the paintings, this is the only thing that our father left behind”.

n“Contained inside is his will to determine our leader”.

nThe biggest Nightmare Beast opened the book. There was only one page inside and it only contained 2 sentences.

n“The day an Annihilation Nightmare Beast is born, he shall be your leader”.

n“Unlocking Annihilation is the way to become a Nightmare Dragon”.

nThud! Thud! Thud!

n“…!” Predator looked in shock.

nAll 3 Grade C Nightmare Beasts were already prostrated before him.

n“Leader!” They pledged their allegiance.

n“…!”
