Chapter 35 Contracting 1st Summoned Beast- The Wind Wolf

n3 days later in the beast plane…
nThe smell of roasted meat rose in the air as Legolas attended to the pair of rabbits that were on the burning fire, his nose twitched as they were roasted.
nA few minutes later, he sat down and enjoyed his feast.
nDuring the past 3 days, Legolas refused to leave the beast plane until he achieved his goal. He spent his time planning and strategizing after setting his sights on his target already, the wolf pack.
nSummoner energy was required to pass through the rainbow bridge, which restricted the beast plane only to be accessed by Summoners.
nAt his current stage of the Grade E realm, Legolas only had enough Summoner energy to bring himself into the beast plane. He would need to develop his mana and Summoner energy to consider bringing Predator in here.
nHe could bring his basic alloy sword but he didn’t bother since it would not really do much in increasing his combat strength.
nEven with his Combat Master active ability, he was still a superhuman warrior who mainly relied on his contracted beasts and pets for every single battle.
nNow, without any of these, he had to settle to use his brain to solve it all.
nOn his first day of arriving here, after being pursued by the Dark Wolf, Legolas escaped and hid inside the thick forest which gave him enough cover to strategize.
nTo other summoners who were new to the beast plane, entering the forest was suicide since it had so many dangerous beasts. For a Summoner with Legolas’s experience though, this was easy as he outwitted all the beasts and hid.
nIn his hiding, Legolas worked with what was available to him. He made use of the trees nearby with his improved strength before turning the branches into makeshift spears through which he could attack.
nWith his weapon problem solved, he focused on finding his target. His reason for coming to the beast plane was to get his 2nd contracted beast.
nSummoned beasts were different from ordinary contracted beasts. Summoned beasts were those that were contracted in the beast plane.
nLegolas knew of some beasts with OP bloodlines in the beast plane, including their territories but he did not go for any of these. With his current strength, Legolas was realistic enough to recognize that going for them was suicide.
nThis was why after observing for 3 days, he set his eyes on the wolf pack where the Dark Wolf which attacked him originated from.
nAmong this pack of wolves was a Wind Wolf that already caught his attention. Wind Wolves were not exactly rare, but Legolas wanted this wolf for its 2 main attributes, its leadership and speed.
nThe wolf pack was the twin alphas of this mountain alongside a powerful lone beast, a Purple-scaled Salamander with a Draconic bloodline.
nThe Purple-scaled Salamander was a peak Grade E beast who was far stronger than Predator. None of the wolves stood a chance against it, they only stood a chance due to the fact that they were a pack.
nAmong the wolves, the Wind Wolf was not the strongest. Of the wolf pack of 15 wolves, the Dark Wolf and the alpha Wraith Wolf were the strongest.
nGoing against them head-on was suicide and was why Legolas needed 3 days. After planning for 3 days, today was the day that he planned to get this beast.
nHis plan was a simple but effective one.
n…
nIt was another morning in the beast plane to the wolves.
nAll the other wolves paid their respects to the Wraith Wolf as this alpha led them out to hunt again. When they moved, most other beasts in the mountain cowered since none matched them.
nThat morning though, something seemed to be wrong since it took them longer to find their prey. They ended up finding prey in an unusual location.
nOnce they saw the spotted Deer behind a passage in between 2 rocks, the wolves calmly maintained their silence as they slowly moved closer.
nUnder the commands of their leader the Wraith Wolf, every wolf knew its duty as once they closed the distance enough, being the fastest of them all, the Wind Wolf exploded with speed towards the passage.
nThe Wraith Wolf and the Dark Wolf followed closely behind as the others aimed to run across to cut off the escape path of the helpless Deer.
nOnce the sprint started, the Deer was alarmed as it also tried to run but for some reason, its feet were stuck to the forest floor.
nThe wolves did not notice this as the Wind Wolf finally stormed through the passage. Once it stormed through, a reaction took place.
nUnderneath the passage was a hidden tree root, with the Wind Wolf’s outrageous speed, the root got torn apart, revealing a pointed tree branch that was hidden under it. This tree branch originally supported an unbalanced rock.
nOnce the Wind Wolf passed through, after these reactions, as the rock lost its balance, it came swinging towards the approaching Wraith Wolf with speed.
nThe Wraith Wolf turned ethereal the next moment, barely dodging the swinging rock but the Dark Wolf was not as lucky as the rock smashed against its’ head with all the force from its momentum.
nThe force was too much as the Dark Wolf became instantly paralyzed.
nStunned, the Wraith Wolf turned to attend to its subordinate, exposing its back in the process as Legolas finally came from his hiding spot behind the rocks.
nHe threw 2 pointed-tip tree branches with all his strength. The Wraith Wolf was fast enough to dodge the first, but the 2nd dug into its waist.
nAwoo!!!
nAs the alpha Wolf howled in anger and pain, Legolas abandoned them after injuring them as he sprinted towards the caged Wind Wolf.
nLegolas’s plan did not just involve the trap to incapacitate the 2 strongest wolves, he also created a wooden cage that now already trapped the Wind Wolf.
nApart from the cage, 2 tree spears that he made already dug into the Wind Wolf’s body as this powerful wolf now whimpered in pain while growling.
nThe plan was simple, but the implementation was hard.
nIt finally came to the hardest part of the plan as Legolas rapidly sprinted towards the trapped Wind Wolf before placing a hand on its head. “Please work”.

nUnlike the time when he signed his beast contract with Predator, he seemed to carry bad luck this time as the attempt failed both the 1st and 2nd time.
nThis was when he really remembered how invaluable Lucky was to him.
n“F*ck! Work for me!”
nSweat dripped down Legolas’s head as the other wolves that took the long way around already arrived and were now sprinting toward him angrily.
nHe was now on a time limit. It was either the contracting process succeeded and he got the Wind Wolf or he got devoured by these angry wolves.

n“F*CK!!!”
nLegolas swore as he looked back only to see an angry Wraith Wolf back in the battle as this alpha wolf sprinted with such momentum that could flatten him.
nLegolas swallowed before trying it one last time. “God of Games, if you’re alive and out there and really want to satisfy your curiosity, help me!”

nInstantly, Legolas wrapped himself and the Wind Wolf with his green Summoner energy as a familiar rainbow bridge appeared the next moment.
nHe jumped in but not after the Wraith Wolf left a scar on his face.
