nLeaving the other parts of the Nightmare Army and entering this dreaded part was like jumping from water into fire, it was like falling from heaven into hell. On Heimdall’s orders, light was blocked from inside this base all-year round.

nThis was the first and greatest line of the Assassin Division, it was their anthem. “Live in the dark”.

nAny Super who was registered into this division of the Nightmare Army was a weirdo, they fitted the theme best. Despite their numbers being the fewest by a large margin in the whole army, they were feared far more than the others.

nAfterall, they were renowned as the deadliest of the Nightmare Army.

nAfterall, their only Grade C seed, Elliot had shone when the other Grade C seeds could not, singlehandedly ambushing and killing 2 of the 6 Ninja Assassins of the Nak Navy, revenging the blemish in the history of the Nightmare Army.

nLegolas may have long lived past it, but the ambitious and passionate warriors of the Nightmare Army never forgot it.

nAfterall, it was this same group of Assassins that ambushed and captured their Army Commander, leading to his ordeal in the headquarters of the old Clown Society. Where others failed, Elliot shone and showed his talent.

nUnder dim lighting, Heimdall alongside his assistant watched the group of young assassins barely more than 5 dozen who were training rigorously.

nCuriously, one of them was a gigantic Frost Giant.

nDue to the Army Commander’s influence, the racism that citizens of Planet Darvis exhibited towards aliens reduced a bit. Under his influence, they learned to understand that not all aliens were wicked.

nThere was a difference between the current Frost Giants and the Nak warriors. Over time, they already fully embraced their existence.

nWhen this Frost Giant first applied to be an assassin, Heimdall refused him countless times but his determination and talent prevailed in the end.

nDespite his size, due to his ability to change his color to blend into any environment he found himself, Azagon was already among the top 5 assassins in the Assassin Division of the Nightmare Army.

nHeimdall would never say it out loud but the barely noticeable grin on his face told a long story, he was proud of his achievement in 5 years.

nHis eyes gleamed with ambition. ‘My chance to use the Army Commander’s help to finally break my limit and become a Grade B Assassin!’

nWhile he fantasized about his ambition, he suddenly frowned as his acute intuition felt a sudden change. His sharp eyes looked upwards.

nFrom a frown, his face soon turned into a wide grin.

nChristensen interrupted her. “I’ve told you numerous times, I don’t need to hear all the details about your countless reports”. He complained as he walked towards his office.

nWhile he walked, a Butterfly silently flew alongside him.

nDespite his complaints, his troublesome assistant was having none of it though. “You are the Army Commander’s stand-in, you definitely can’t slack off, you need to be at the top of your game to keep the army afloat”.

n“This again”. Christensen sighed in exasperation.

n“Just tell me you want to spend more time with me”.

nShe was caught off-guard for a few seconds as she froze, her face turned red as she blushed, she tried to stop it but could not.

nIn this time, Christensen already walked past her.

nShe jogged to catch up to him. “Y-You, what do you mean by that?”

n“You think I don’t notice it?” Christensen turned to look at her like she was a fool. “I’ve noticed you always find any opportunity to stay closer to me now, you always give excuses but your motive is now so glaringly obvious”.

n“Ahh…” Once again, she was caught off-guard.

nIn the end, her eyes turned ice cold like a warrior queen facing her worst enemy in battle. “Nothing”. She replied coldly.

n“I won’t seek your attention again”.

nChristensen was surprised as he wiped sweat that suddenly appeared on his forehead away. “What happened? Why does it feel like you’re angry?”

n“I’m not!” She snapped.

n“Ok”. He turned and finally opened the door to his office.

nShe gritted her teeth as she watched him enter.

nJust one step in and Christensen paused, his demeanor suddenly changed. He was no longer the head of the Nightmare Army on Legolas’ behalf, he was now a warrior, a veteran Grade C Summoner.

nHe looked up, his eyes narrowed as he looked back down at the Butterfly.

n“Neo?”

nThe Butterfly nodded. “I feel it too”.

n“W-what happened?” Noticing the sudden change, Ariel, Christensen’s assistant was frightened as she asked.

n“Put a call through to the Army Commander”.

nA few seconds later, Legolas’ voice calmly rang through the speakers.

n“I know, I also felt it”.

n“The President has called a secret meeting; we have to do this discretely to avoid attracting the attention of the Nak base”.

n“In 10 minutes, meet us at the hidden war strategy base”.

nChristensen’s face turned serious. “Yes, Army Commander”.

nA few minutes later, all the higher-ups, High Officials, and Grade C Supers in Planet Darvis were gathered in the hidden war strategy base that was built and hidden deep in the Blue Sea in the Eastern Continent.

nPresident Shanks looked at everyone present. “I…”
