n“Did I do it?” Christensen asked as he struggled to stand up.

nLeo stood as still as a pig breast frozen in a deep freezer.

nThe gigantic Titan Rhino fell just before him, but the beast was not dead. The wind induced by its powerful breathing pushed against Leo’s white fur and the Frost Wolf could not bring itself to do anything.

nAs soon as Christensen stood up, Leo looked up at its master for help.

nAt this moment, the Frost Wolf had a strange feeling. For a long time since it knew Christensen, it was always the one that protected the prince.

nThere was never any situation where Christensen became capable enough to protect him. Leo was a powerful Frost Wolf but this Titan Rhino despite being a Grade E beast also was a next level horror, Leo was too frightened to fight.

nChristensen saving it from this situation left Leo feeling strange.

nLeo didn’t care though, at this moment what it wished for was to save its life, Christensen did not disappoint it. “Leo, easy boy…, stay put”.

nChristensen learned a lot of things from Legolas during their short time together and one of them was the strategies of communicating with beasts.

nHis words seemed casual but they managed to keep Leo calm.

nChristensen sweat bullets as he thought of a way out of this situation.

n‘For Leo to feel so frightened, this beast must be a horrifying monster’.

n‘Even after such a deadly attack, it’s still alive’.

n‘Think Christensen…, think, f*ck, if only master was here’.

nChristensen took a few seconds to calm himself down but once he did he focused back on the massive Rhino. At this moment, the Titan Rhino was asleep which gave him 2 options, finishing it or running for it.

n‘If I decide to run for it and the Rhino wakes up, I’m screwed’.

nCalmer now, Christensen finally observed his surroundings.

nAt this moment, they were stuck inside what felt like a normal depression that was on an ice floor. Probably, the Rhino’s weight made the ice to sink in.

nYes, at this moment, Christensen finally understood the reason for the cold in the air as they found themselves in an icy plain.

nHe wondered what a Rhino of this size was doing here but it didn’t matter.

nHe turned to face his beast. “Leo, look at me, stay calm and listen to me”.

n“On my signal, we’ll attack the beast”.

n“Target its eyes, I’ll try to stab its belly, we’re killing it”.

n“3…, 2…, 1! Now!”

nLeo felt adrenaline flowing through it as it pounced on the massive Rhino. 2 spear icicles were formed the next moment which it flung at the Rhino’s eyes.

nClang!

nMetallic ringing sounds reverberated as the spears shattered.

nBeside the beast, Christensen’s eyes widened in shock as his sword also shattered on making contact with its exposed belly. “Such defense…”

nHis eyes widened in horror. “It’s an Armored Titan Rhino!”

nHaving been disturbed by the attack to its eyes, the Rhino’s massive eyes finally regained consciousness. As it looked at the white wolf that stood before it, it snorted before sneezing and farting at the same time.

nThe arrogant fart seemed to cause an earthquake in this small space.

nThis time, the Rhino did wonders as the ice that froze its nose shattered while the sword that stabbed its anus flew out following the fart like a hurricane.

nChristensen’s eyes widened in horror. “Run!”

n“He’s strong but he’s not fast!”

nChristensen got the answer that he wanted, against an Armored Titan Rhino, run, never fight against this anomaly of nature, that was what his master taught.

nAs soon as Leo got the reassurance that the massive beast was not fast, it regained its confidence as it sprinted around the depression that was formed in the ice. Mid-sprint, Christensen mounted it then it finally jumped.

nLeo’s powerful legs propelled it all the way out of the depression, barely escaping the horns of the Rhino which it used to try attacking them as they escaped.

n“Phew…!”

nAs he saw the blue skies, Christensen heaved a sigh of relief as Leo finally landed and collapsed on the floor tired from the exertion.

n“We escaped”. Christensen rolled down from Leo’s back.

nAs soon as he rolled down, he saw a familiar massive brown skin blocking his view of the sun as a pair of curious eyes looked down at him.

nChristensen froze then he traced the eyes down. It was exactly the same Armored Titan Rhino, just a much smaller one, a baby.

nThe baby Rhino was not the problem though, the problem was that at this moment, Christensen felt that he suddenly became the center of attention to a certain group as even Leo jolted awake.𝑜𝒱𝓁xt.𝚌𝑂𝓶

nHe closed his eyes to steel his nerves then he opened them and looked. Like he observed, he was indeed in a cold environment filled with snow and ice.

nThis was a massive ice field that spanned dozens of kilometers as far as he could see, with icebergs floating some distance away which indicated that this was ice that formed on top a sea.

nIt didn’t matter though, what mattered was that about a dozen pair of eyes belonging to massive Armored Titan Rhinos were now focused on them.

nChristensen felt his breath seizing as he whispered. “A band…., a band…”

n“A f*cking band of Armored Titan Rhinos!” He screamed. “Run!!!”

nThis time, Leo did not need a 2nd reminder to spring up to escape. As soon as Christensen mounted its back, the Frost Wolf exploded with speed.

nAs soon as they saw them, all the Armored Titan Rhinos stood up.

n“Roar!” These beasts roared before coming for them.

nChristensen tried his best to stay calm as he directed Leo. One thing that gave him confidence now was that Leo was at his best in this environment.

nA Frost Wolf was at its effective best in a snow region.

n“Leo, Ice Domain”.

n“Aim at their legs with Spear Icicles”.

n“Jump at the moment anyone of them is about to fall”.

nWhoosh! Whoosh!

nAt this moment, master and beast entered a strange state of absolute concentration and synergy as Christensen gave orders while Leo executed them.

nThe ice domain was even more powerful here as an oppressive icy atmosphere permeated the air, slowing these massive beasts even further.

nWith the spear icicles, Leo decided their fates.

n3 spear icicle shots were all it took to incapacitate one of their legs, and once they fell, they ended up forming depressions like the ones that they just came out from. Christensen devised another strategy around the depressions.

nBy using their weight against them, they formed depressions which soon trapped all of them in one big hole, allowing their prey to escape.

nChristensen dared not stay, it took all his brainpower to orchestrate this escape from death. Leo ran all the way till they were out of sight.

nQuestions remained though, questions that Christensen sought answers for.

nWhere was this ice field?

nWhy were Armored Titan Rhinos in an ice field?
