Chapter 572 - The Reborn Silver-Feathered Eagle
“Crescent Silver-Feathered Eagle?” Lin Jie asked. “Your dad is the Sub-Legendary Thunder Silver-Feathered Eagle, don’t let it down, please!”
Lin Jie viewed the stats of the Crescent Silver-Feathered Eagle.
Crescent Silver-Feathered Eagle (Sub Legendary, Scouting & Assassin Pet)
Level: 59
Health Points: 1,200
Attack: 1,029-2,003
Defense: 0
Special Feature: Speeding. Lighting Speed.
Speeding: The Crescent Silver-Feathered Eagle increases its flying speed by 30% permanently.
Lighting Speed: The Crescent Silver-Feathered Eagle gains Haste effect every 10 seconds. Haste allows it to increase its speed to 300% and decrease exponentially back to 100% for 2 seconds.
Skill: Moonlight Cover.
Moonlight Cover: The Crescent Silver-Feathered Eagle gains Level 6 Stealth under the moonlight. Immune to scouting skills below Superior-Grade. When attacking, the effect is lost for 0.5 seconds.
Additional effect: The Crescent Silver-Feathered Eagle has 3 Skill Slots.
Lin Jie was thrilled. From now on, the Silver-Feathered Eagle would become Lin Jie’s strongest pet! Although it was useful before, it was just an ordinary scouting pet. Its survivability was very low. Now, it had evolved into a domineering pet!
“Let’s move!” Lin Jie got on his Crescent Warhorse and left the Crescent Land. The map that sealed the Goddess of Moon had disappeared. He arrived at the Star Elves’ Tomb again and was surrounded by Level 80 Elite Star Elves. After Goddess of Moon left, those Elves were in Enraged Mode. Their Attack Speed increased by 50%, while their Movement Speed and aggro range increased too. However, their Defense was reduced.
Lin Jie started searching for a good spot. He found a 2-meter tall building. It was a rather narrow one and difficult to stand on top.
“Crescent Warhorse, move!” Lin Jie commanded the horse, and it leaped off. It landed on top of the building with ease.
The Crescent Silver-Feathered Eagle took off from Lin Jie’s shoulder and attacked the Elves. It dealt 500 points of damage quickly to every Elf that was in its way. After 10 seconds of flying, the Silver Feathered Eagle tripled its speed! Coupled with the effect of Moonlight Cover, one could hardly see what was dealing all the damage.
The Crescent Silver Feathered Eagle circled around and pulled dozens of Elves back.
It was not enough! Lin Jie took out his Silent Killer and started pulling the creeps too. The Silent Killer had been modified into a long-ranged weapon, which made him out of range to Star Elves’ attacks. Soon, about 200 Elves were surrounding the building.
Lin Jie commanded his Crescent Warhorse again, “Star Fall!”
The Crescent Warhorse gave out a cry, and the sky was filled with dark clouds. It looked like a thunderstorm was coming. A crescent appeared in the middle of the clouds. Star Fall took 12 seconds to channel. Lin Jie wondered how powerful this Level 6 Arcane Druid AOE skill would be.
Star Fall!
BOOM!
Dark meteors started hitting the ground and bashing into the Elves, dealing 1500 points of damage! Five more waves of attack would soon follow. Compared to the Level 6 skill, Level 1 could only deal three waves of damage.
After the brutal impact of the meteors, the Star Elves were only left with 60% of their health points. Some unlucky ones had received Critical Hits and were dying!
It was too overpowered!
Lin Jie took out his Broken Blade and used Thunderstorm! After the powerful Star Fall came another AOE attack, and the Star Elves were farmed like wheat.
—’You have killed the Guardian of Star Elves’ Tomb and received 390,000 EXP (Over-level Kill, EXP Gem bonus). You received 1 Favorability Point of Goddess of Moon.’
—’You have killed the Guardian of Star Elves’ Tomb and received 390,000 EXP (Over-level Kill, EXP Gem bonus). You received 1 Favorability Point of Goddess of Moon.’
…
Lin Jie’s experience bar increased non-stop. It was unbelievable that he was group-hunting monsters that were 20 levels higher than him! He almost leveled up, but the EXP stopped at 95%. He almost gained one level just from one wave of monsters—that was very efficient.
Lin Jie got off the warhorse and started picking up the loots. The gold coins dropped by the Star Elves were ancient. It meant that it contained much purer gold than the current one. The rate was about 1:2.5.
— ‘You have received 1 Star Elves gold coin.’
— ‘You have received 23 Star Elves gold coins.’
…
In total, Lin Jie got 126 Star Elves gold coins. Also, he got 12 Uniform Star Elves’ armors. It was enough for him to come up with its blueprint now. There were other loots, such as skill books and materials. Out of those items, Lin Jie found an interesting one.
Glittering Jewel: A gem that will only appear at a place with pure moonlight.
Item attributes: When using Glittering Jewel in Smithing, equipment stats will increase by 3%-10%. Only 2 can be used at the same time.
“My 300-men army will be ready soon.” Lin Jie used a teleportation scroll and returned to the City of Light.
There were very few people on the street today. Even the CBD area looked deserted. There were only about 30% of the people on the street! There were several messages on the communication device by Dark Earl and Dumb Fox.
Lin Jie decided to ignore them as he believed that they were trying to convince him to accept investments for his Brotherhood.
Lin Jie brought the loot into Sky Provisions Shop, giving Seven Ears and Bella a huge shock. “Boss!? Why are you here?”
“I cannot be here?” Lin Jie rolled his eyes. He poured the loot on the table and said, “Gather 20 Blacksmiths, I have a job for them. Also, call Hardworking Pants.”
Seven Ears was full of doubts. Now was the climax of the fourth Main Plot Dungeon! All guilds and organizations were killing one another to get the first clear. How could Lin Jie be so free now?
Seven Ears decided to trust Lin Jie and called for the best Blacksmiths.
Out of the 20 Blacksmiths, four of them were the top-tier masters of smithing in his previous life. All the items they handled had been sold at incredibly high prices! Thousands of players had been begging them to help them blacksmith their equipment. Now, they stood in front of Lin Jie, waiting excitedly for his instructions.
Lin Jie had provided them with a huge amount of Dragon material last time, and many Blacksmiths were very thankful to him. It seemed like good things were happening again!
“Guys, I have a mission for you now. It will not be easy. I assure you that the reward is not stingy either.” Lin Jie showed them the Dark Gold Star Elves’ Armor. They were amazed by the look of it.
“These are Dark Gold Uniform items! I need you guys to come up with the armor blueprint. Make 300 pieces in 15 days. Do not fear failure. I’ll bear all the cost!” said Lin Jie.
A contract bound those Blacksmiths, and they could only fail three times a day. After that, they had to bear the cost themselves. Lin Jie wanted them to try their best this time. “I only want a successful outcome. I don’t care how much you guys spend. I only ask for one thing. 15 days, 300 pieces of Dark Gold Uniform equipment. Can that be done?”
They exchanged a look and answered confidently, “Yes, Sir!”
“Good!” Lin Jie passed them the equipment.
Then, Hardworking Pants appeared.
This guy started speaking the moment he entered, “Boss, I’ve been in Savage Blade for so long, and I did not participate in a single fight! Although I’m a Living job gamer, I am a man too! At least, let me watch the fight!”
Lin Jie ignored all the words he said. “I have a mission for you.”
“What? Mission? Nah? I’m very strong now. Don’t think one mission will satisfy me.” Hardworking Pants was pissed. He had not even seen a monster after joining the team, and he gotten mocked for his Living job too!
He snorted and pretended to look away, but secretly glanced at what Lin Jie was holding. “Wow! Is that an incomplete rune? It is a rune that I have never seen before. It must be ancient! Did it seal something before?”
“Oh? You think this thing is good?” Lin Jie smiled.
“Good? It is the best! I would trade it for a Legen—” Hardworking Pants said excitedly, “Boss, come with me.”
Lin Jie rolled his eyes. “Don’t be so secretive. Just speak.”
Hardworking Pants’ smile faded as he said solemnly, “Come on, follow me!”
