Chapter 179 - Spatial Rift Part2

nAfter seeing that the tabby was completely unharmed, Qin Hua sighed in relief. She threw it back on top of her and growled angrily. Don't go anywhere without my permission again!
nNow that things were settled and Coco had returned safely, her eyes once again darted to the black portal. So we can walk in and out? Just like that? Woof!
nShe ruffled the cat's head and asked it. What did you see inside?
nBut, the cat only wordlessly stared back at her. Though she was able to understand and follow her instructions, she was still not able to communicate with her back.
nMeow.
nWoof! Qin Hua changed her method of asking and phrased it differently. Was there something scary inside?
nThis time, the cat quickly nodded her head up and down as if she was saying yes. Qin Hua was now even more concerned.
nSo there was indeed something dangerous inside but the tabby cat was able to walk in and walk out. Did this mean she could also walk in and hunt something and walk out later?
nGrowl! Qin Hua pondered about this for a while but in the end, all she could do was speculate and make assumptions which led to nowhere.
nThe only way to get any concrete answers was to directly step into the lion's cave.
nGrowl! Qin Hua snapped her canines at the black swirling vortex and the next second, she steeled herself and placed her paw on it.
nInstantly, her world turned dark and the cat's loud meowing sounds rang loudly in her ears. The two of them were suddenly standing on something that looked like a dark underground cave.
nWhat the hell is this? Woof!
nEven in the dark, she was able to make out all the details including the tiniest bump on the cave's wall, and cautiously looked around her.
nAlmost immediately, a notification chimed in front of her.

nA quest after so long! The wolf was visibly surprised.
nAfter reading this, her eyes bulged twice their size from the sheer size of the rewards.
nHow generous! Woof!
nThese many experience points would definitely push her level, which had stagnated for a while now, at least twice or even thrice.
nShe licked her lips in excitement, but at the same time, she also mentally prepared herself for the things that she was about to face.
nHow could there be such luxurious rewards without any risk?
nWoof! Can I enter and exit this rift as I please? What do you mean by securing the rift core? What is this spatial rift?
nQin Hua had so many questions that she bombarded the system with. However, the other party only gave out a minimal response.

nQin Hua keenly listened to the explanations and tried her best to understand the situation. There was a crystal somewhere within this place that she had to obtain.
nSeems easy enough! Woof!
nThe wolf's eyes sparkled as she tried to peer into the darkness that spread ahead of her, but thanks to her enhanced vision, she was able to see everything clearly.
nBefore starting, she turned around and warned the other person next to her first.
nCoco, stick close to me and don't go anywhere without my permission.
nMeow. The cat obediently nodded.
nIt looked like she was also able to see in the darkness but clearly, her vision wasn't as good as Qin Hua's as it sounded fearful and stuck close to her even before she commanded it to.
nAlright. Here we go. Woof. Qin Hua calmed her down and strutted forward cautiously. She paid attention to all her senses taking everything in as she moved.
nThe vast empty cave sprawled out in front of her like a never ending cavern and before long, something tall and bony stepped out in front of her.
nCrunch. Crack. Crack. Crack.
nWoof! Inspect!
n
nUndead creature? Qin Hua did not have any more time to think as the skeleton in front of her started coming at her waving its rusty sword.
nClang. Clang. Clang. The metal hit the walls of the cave, a screeching sound echoing in the dark desolate space.
nQin Hua immediately sent out a couple of dark arrows and as the arrows moved, her claws enshrouded in black wisps also reached the skeletal figure, attacking its vital joints.
nCoco! Be ready to heal me! She growled.
nHowever, it was unnecessary as the soldier entirely fell apart like a bundle of bones not able to withstand her single attack.
nThud. Thud. Thud. All the fragments of the broken bones fell down and scattered on the cave's ground.
n
n<50 Experience points have been rewarded>
nWoof! Qin Hua was overjoyed. Apart from the quest's generous experience points, it seemed that she was also able to obtain more experience points from these smaller monsters.
nThis is going to be a good haul! Revealing a big grin, she smacked her mouth eagerly and pounced ahead, hoping to spot another one of the skeletal soldiers.
nCoco buddy, I should have never doubted your luck. Mu ha ha ha!
nShe didn't have to search for long as another three skeletons came rushing towards her not long after.
nDark Arrow
nDark Arrow
nDark Arrow
nThis time Qin Hua did not even lift a muscle and rather crafted her arrows more like thicker more powerful spears that shot forward.
nBOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
nEach arrow hit one skeleton at the center of its body and the creature shattered and blasted upon impact!
