Chapter 57 - Rip And Maul

After clearing out all the zombies, everyone returned back to the apartment complex to rest for a while and fill their stomachs.

Unfortunately, the walls had been irreparably damaged and it was no longer a safe place to stay but no one cared about that as they were only resting here temporarily.

The newcomers volunteered to help out and used the things in the apartments around them to make two big batches of noodles with pork chops.

Meanwhile, Qin Hua laid silently near Lu Chen and munched on the roasted meat which she had swiped before from the thugs.

She passed some to Lu Chen as well, no one else receiving the special treatment.

"Little white, what is this meat?

" Lu Chen rubbed her head and asked.

Huuu… I am too lazy to signal and explain… Qin Hua opened her eyelids just enough to peek at him lightly and then quickly closed it back, silently chewing the meat.

Lu Chen couldn't help but chuckle at her cute face, which didn't look as cute to the others, and rubbed her head again.

He as well then silently munched on the few pieces of roasted meat that Qin Hua had pushed towards him.

The others gulped and decided to not look at the duo.

Though almost all of them were hungry, they didn't dare ask the dog to share its food. They could only wait for the three men to finish cooking the food.

Soon the food was ready and everybody began to eat with gusto.

Qin Hua lazily growled and swayed her thick body into one of the apartments nearby. She banged the door open and strolled into the bathroom, squishing her body weirdly under the shower.

The smell of blood and bits of flesh stuck to her body was too nauseating and she decided to take a quick shower to clean herself up.

As the lukewarm water pelted on her body, washing all the filth away, it was strangely comforting. Ahhhh… This is soo good!

And then… the quick showed turned into a long shower…

With the water still running, she lazily flicked open the status screen to check on everything.

A series of notifications chimed in immediately as she had ignored these back when she was busily fighting. There was no time to pause or even think so only now she had the chance to glance at them in detail.

Woof? Did I level up only twice? But I killed so many zombies!!! What a scam! Qin Hua spat out the water in her mouth and once again tilted her furry head back to refill her mouth with fresh water to the brim.

She had no idea if dogs even had their teeth brushed, but rinsing with water was the best she could do now.

Tch. Tch. I guess… since the weaker zombies are no longer a threat to me now, they also don't give out any experience points. She shook her head and moved onto the next set of notifications.

What the… Qin Hua dumbfoundedly stared at the list of upgrades.

She had assumed that she would have to spend a lot of skill points to level these skills but fortunately, her brute grinding of the lower level zombies had pushed her skills out quite a bit.

Qin Hua wiggled her body out of the shower space and then backed into the spot again, now cleaning the second half of her body.

Hu Hu Hu! Perfect! I am a scary super dog now. I will rip and maul all my enemies to shreds. La La La

Her shower singing voice or rather growling voice was loud enough to startle the others sitting outside a bit further from the bathroom she was using.

Everyone couldn't help but feel a chill creeping up their spines. What the hell was that dog up to now?! Only Lu Chen simply smiled and continued eating.

Of course, the world around her was crumbling but Qin Hua still felt particularly chipper.

She had taken care of a whole bunch of zombies and those goblin things and even leveled up in the process. Not to mention Lu Chen had healed completely and none of them were hurt.

However, her mind then flitted over to Su Yan who was still in deep slumber but she shook her head quickly not wanting to think about it.

He will also wake up like Lu Chen in a few days! Everything will be fine. Woof!

She sighed and quickly flicked open her status screen, diverting her attention from Su Yan to all the new skills upgrades she had gained.

Waaahhh! My health is so less??? This won't do! This won't do at all!

Qin Hua gulped thinking back to how she had been throwing around her chubby overgrown body at her enemies left and right, flattening them with her weight.

She had a massive body so she had subconsciously ignored her health but looking at her stats now, she could see exactly how dangerous that was.

She had been fighting with her life on the line all along!
