Chapter 1061 Dual Origins

nNing and the rest flew to the other Origin in the Atlantic, not knowing what to expect at all. The only thing he could ask himself was why it even needed to exist at all.
nIt was the same planet, so one Origin was enough. Was it perhaps a timing thing where two origins were forming and ended up forming at the same time?
n‘I know too little about Origins to make any sort of guess,’ he thought.
nThey arrived at the next location and once again Ely concealed it with her artifact. The incoming planes and drones would soon notice that whatever light had suddenly emerged had disappeared, and there were bound to be some questions and conspiracies being thrown around.
nNing thought of giving some excuse so the people wouldn’t be worried later, but for now, he needed to focus on what was in front of him.
nAnother Origin.
nAnother small pool of Qi that could be used to—
n“Wait, what?” Ning shouted the moment he saw the pool of energy down below him.
n“What’s going on?” Ely asked as she slowly moved closer. “I can’t sense the Qi at all. It’s like it’s nothing to my senses.”
n“Me neither,” Blue said.
n“That’s because it’s not Qi at all,” Ning explained. “That down there is mana. Holy **! A mana Origin opened up on Earth as well.”
n“What?” Ely was surprised. “What do you mean mana Origin? How can there be Mana and Qi on the same planet?”
n“I don’t know,” Ning said. “I’m just as confused as you.”
n“But…” Ely didn’t know what to say. She could only hope there was nothing to worry about.
n“Look at how much mana is coming out,” he thought. “It would probably make me stronger than I already am as a mage.”
n“Didn’t you reach the peak as a Mage?” Ely asked.𝗈𝐯𝐥xt.𝓬𝒪𝚖
n“Tier 10, yes,” Ning said. “But that was the peak of the universe where the mana was coming from. In our universe, the peak of mana was actually more around… Tier 8? I think. It had a different system, so it’s hard to judge. Anyway, judging by the quality of the mana, Earth is probably going to have very strong mages, very soon.”
n“Isn’t that… bad?” Night asked. “Having so many people emergy with new powers is devastating if we don’t have a method of controlling them.”
n“That’s… not wrong,” Ning said. “But we can’t just control people.”
n“I think it’s better to not do anything,” Ely said. “Let people figure it out on their own. It will certainly take some time for the Qi and mana to reach the countries, and for the people to experience the effect.”
n“I do have an idea on how to make people docile, in a sense, without taking away their freedom,” Ning said. “We will talk about that later though. For now, what should we do?”
n“I’m going to the previous Origin to cultivate, master,” Blue said. “It’s been years since I’ve gotten to properly cultivate.”
nNight nodded. “Same for me,” he said.
nNing nodded back. “Yes, go do that,” he said.
n“Then, I’ll do that too,” Ely said, but Ning stopped her.
n“No, I think you should stay here for a while,” he said.
nEly gave him a weird look. “Why?” she asked.
n“Your body hasn’t been adapting to the mana as well as I would’ve hoped it to. Perhaps you were too strong, to begin with, so it’s taking time. I want you to sit around here so the strong mana here can help you acclimate faster,” he said. “Once you are done being acclimated, you can both become a Mage and a cultivator.”
nEly thought for a moment and couldn’t help but agree. “Sure, that sounds good. I will call my brother here. He would do well becoming a mage too,” she said.
nNing nodded and soon everyone was there to cultivate.
nEly, Ning, Chase, and Sorlus cultivated on the Mana Origin, while Night, Blue, Hi-Ah, and Jung-Hee cultivated on the Qi Origin.
nNing improved steadily, with Chase and Sorlus not far behind. Ely was the only one with no progress as a mage as her body hadn’t adapted to the mana just yet.
nIt took 2 months of staying in the Origin before her body had adapted, after which she too started improving more as a Mage.
nSorlus and Chase left the Origin multiple times as there was no reason for them to stay there for too long. However, Ely stayed there at all times.
nAfter some time, they started approving more and more people to come to the Origin. Chase’s girlfriend and Jung-Hee’s girlfriend were allowed to visit the Mana Origin.
nNing also brought his grandmother and uncle to the Qi origin where they slowly cultivated to reach Immortality. Once they were Immortal, Ning would have nothing to worry about anymore.
nEly switched from one Origin to another, while cultivating both energies at once. The others did so as well, but no one seemed to be as dedicated as her.
nIt was almost as if she was trying to make her forget about her worry about her unborn child. However, even if it worked for the first few years, it was soon filling her with worry once again.
nPerhaps, the only solace here was the fact that her belly was in fact getting bigger by the year. Now, she could even tell the gender of her own child.
nNing’s worries were not any less than hers, but he had been able to hide them much better. He instead helped the world in the following years by helping them in a way they wouldn’t have expected.
nThe people were all agitated about being strong, but never being able to use their skills properly.
nSo, together with the various world government, he released virtual reality technology where people could go in to use their skills. Others would work on spinning that concept however they wanted to.
nWith that, the world would calm down enough so that Ning didn’t have to worry about wars again.
