Chapter 1273 Omniverse

That was not something Ning had expected to learn today at all. Wills and Spirits seemed so vastly different from one another that he never really thought about how they could be the same at all.

“So… Wills are spirits, but spirits are not Will. I’m getting that correct, aren’t I?” he asked.

“So… that means there is the possibility that other things aside from wills and those spirits formed from Spiritual energy or Qi that also counts as spirits, isn’t there?” he asked.

Ning smiled a little. “What are they?” he asked.

Ning thought for a bit. “Sure, give me the list of all types of spirits,” he said.

A wave of knowledge flowed into his mind as a piece of information took hold of his brain that couldn’t help but surprise him to his core.

“This… this can’t be…” he said, surprised beyond his wildest days. “Nascent Souls and Essence Souls are spirits as well? I knew they weren’t actually souls but… to think they were spirits.” That was what the knowledge he received had said. It felt wrong to believe that. How was that possible that they were spirits as well?

“Am… am I a spirit as well?” he asked. He tried to find information regarding that in the piece of knowledge he received and found it blank… for something. There was missing information, he could tell.

It talked about all forms of spirits, except what he could only believe to be a single type of spirit.

And he thought that was himself. A piece of Energy. A spirit.

“Oh,” Ning said with a disappointed voice, but then, his eyes switched a bit. “Oh…” He realized that if he wasn’t a spirit then there was still something missing in the information that he had received.

At the same time, another piece of information sprung up in his mind from a time as far in the past as he could think of.

“I am not a soul, correct?” he asked.

“But I am basically one,” he said. “An imitation of one.” The system remained silent. He waited for it to answer him when the piece of information that was missing from him was filled up.

Soul was a type of spirit as well.

And from what Ning understood here, it was the original and most important spirit of all.

Ning’s eyes widened in happiness. He couldn’t believe that he had just unlocked something that he didn’t even know was hidden from him.

“What were the requirements for this?” he asked.

“I see,” Ning said. “Is this the only way of finding out?”

“I see,” Ning said, with the smile on his face never fading at all. “Omniverse… that’s… have I heard of that before?”

Ning thought back to the time when he was a little girl who had just woken up from being experimented on for eons.

“Oh right, she did. She mentioned something about the Energy System being the best in all of the Omniverse,” he said, only now remembering the words. “Is that different from multiverse? Or is that just the same thing but with a different name?”

Ning gulped. “What… what are the two other Realms?” he asked.

“The Realm of Energy…” Ning repeated to himself. “What is this place? Is this the one where I die?”

“I see,” Ning said. “But it is the verse where I can die.”

Ning couldn’t wrap his head around the explanation at all. “Okay… what about the Realm of Souls?” he asked. “How does one go there? Origin and Black Holes lead to a Realm of Energy. What leads to the Realm of Souls?”

“Oh, how do they go there?” he asked.

“Wait, wait, wait, wait,” Ning said quickly. “Souls… can produce energy now? Since when?”

<… They are spirits. And as has been mentioned before, Spirits are made up of Pure Energy and can use it.>

“Ah, right,” Ning said. ‘My bad. Too many things going on in my head right now. Continue.”

“That’s it?” Ning asked. “Souls just go in and out?”
