Chapter 1347 Betty's Request

Emma went to talk to Rova while Betty wanted to speak with Ning.

“I was hoping you could make a weapon for me,” Betty said. “Would it be too much to ask for?”

“A weapon? No, you can ask me for it. Do you have any idea what you want?” Ning asked.

“I have a Water core, so what do you think I should get?” she asked. “You should have a better understanding of what is possible for me than me.”

“I do have a good idea,” Ning said as he gave the problem some thought. “Since you are Emma’s friend, I’ll throw in a bit of a treat as well. Do you have any requirements for the weapon itself? If not, I can make you something good.”

“A sword would be lovely, but if that’s a problem then do whatever you like,” she said quickly.

“No, a sword will not be a problem,” Ning said with a bit of a smile. A water sword, especially one he would make for this girl, it brought back memories. “I know exactly what I will be making you.”

“Oh, will you be adding a technique to it?” she asked. “If you are—”

“Don’t worry,” Ning said. “Let me deal with it all. You go wait and have fun.”

Betty smiled brightly and quickly thanked Ning before walking walking away toward Emma.

After a while, Emma went back with Betty, Rova, and Lory to Ulharis city, leaving Ning alone in this place. He had a few more in-person trainings to get through before he was free to return.

Betty had already returned to her home when he arrived back in the shop. Randal had been waiting for him and talked for a little while before leaving as well.

Finally, Ning met up with Emma again in the room above where she was already in a conversation with Laila.

“How have your days been? Are they fun?” Ning asked.

“They’re fun.” Emma nodded. “Especially when you consider I can only use my Essence for everything.”

“As long as you’re having fun,” Ning said. “How much longer do you think you’ll be having fun? Do you want to sit through all 10 years of the institute?”

“Yes,” Emma said. “I want to experience it all. Why? Is there a problem with that?”

“No, no problem,” Ning said. “I just thought you would get bored is all. Truth is, we could stay here for another 100 years and I wouldn’t have much problem. From what I know, the place I need to visit next is currently moving closer, so the longer we wait the better.”

“Moving… closer?” Emma asked with a confused look. She couldn’t imagine any world that was not from another universe possibly getting closer in any way.

“It’s not really a planet that we’re going to next,” Ning said. “Don’t worry, I’ll let you know when we get there if you want to visit it.”

“Oh… okay,” Emma said. “Then I’ll spend what time I can here. By the way, do you think you can take this planet with you?”

“No,” Ning said. “I only have so much space for the planets in my world and I don’t really have the energy to take something with me right now. I need 1 Septillion total energy to unlock Chemical Energy.”

Ning couldn’t help but sigh at that amount. It would be hard to reach that level with a single constitution and would certainly need multiple of them.

After talking to his daughter for a while longer, he left the place to go to a remote island in the remnant of the Stonefall continent. This would be the perfect place to do what he had come to do.

After setting up a few requirements for the system, he got an idea of what he needed to do to get what he wanted. He flew over to the ocean a few kilometers away from the island.

Then, he made a small, slow wave with a water control skill he bought and pushed it forward.

He waited for a few dozen seconds and made another wave that was slightly faster and slightly bigger. Then many more seconds later, he made another one that was even faster and larger.

He made a total of 10 such waves, each successive one faster and larger than the previous one. After that, he teleported back to the island.

All Ning had to do now was wait.

The waves closed the gap with each other the closer they got to the island Ning was on, until just 100 meters away when they all combined together to make an ocean wave that was nearly 50 meters high.

Ning lifted the blue crystal he had been holding since returning back that was now full of Water Essence, ready to burst at any moment. He waited and waited and waited, and then he let it go.

The Water Essence from the crystal entered the tsunami in the blink of an eye, turning it all into a giant Essence-Matter hybrid that was ready for Ning’s final touches.

Ning took barely any time and started forming the giant 50-meter tall and 400-meter wide tsunami into a sword. As he did so, he also added a special technique that gave the user brilliant water armor.

It took him a few moments to be done with it, and when he was done, he lifted the sword up high and looked at it with a soft smile on his face.

The blue sword he had made looked as though there was an ocean wave moving on the sword itself. In fact, the blade itself looked as though it was an ocean wave.

Was Issi’s sword made like this too?

‘No, his world was being destroyed by the demons,’ Ning thought, remembering the poor blue-haired young man who had to die at the had of Genesis.

Once done with the sword, Ning prepared another special gift for the young lady who would be expecting it.

She would have no idea that the bonus gift that Ning was giving on top of the brilliant sword would actually be the most important gift of the two.
