nWoojin exited Mago’s house and threw the spear. The spear shot through the air and embedded itself into a tree. But Woojin felt a weird sensation and reached out. The spear was then pulled out of the tree and returned to his hand. The Gáe Bulg made from his bone answered to his will. Woojin threw the spear again. This time, it was thrown so hard that it flew like a bullet. However, he willed it to return right away. Gáe Bulg stopped mid-air and returned. He smiled.

nThis was an unexpected profit. The bamboo spear was powerful because of its bleed effect, but Gáe Bulg was a legendary weapon. Woojin absorbed the spear back into his body and turned. Bihyung spoke with an envious look, “Where did you get that?”

n“Don’t be jealous. I almost got killed by this.”

nBihyung shrugged.

n“Do you even need the Iron Fan now?”

n“You want to buy it?”

n“If I can, yeah.”

nWoojin shook his head.

n“I might need it someday. Just keep it for now. But pay my family for it if I die.”

n“Okay.”

nWoojin then asked Mago, “How are the people here? I’m worried about my sister.”

n“Your sister’s a pretty good cook now.”

nSoon, a large table was filled with breakfast and all the people who had been targeted to be kidnapped gathered to eat. Woojin took a bite of the food and smiled.

n“It’s good.”

n“All I can do here is to look after the farm, read books, listen to granny’s old stories, and cook.”

n“That sounds fun.”

n“Yeah.”

nEunseo nodded. She was actually really happy at this slow and free life. Woojin smiled, “Good. I will let you do whatever you want when we are done. Enjoy life here for now.”

n“Yeah. But can I ask you a favor?”

n“What is it?”

n“I want some books.”

nWoojin turned to Bihyung and he cackled.

n“You know that I have to carry it up here myself, right?”

n“Yeah. But you’re the only one I can ask.”

nBihyung nodded and Eunseo bowed.

n“Thank you.”

nMago then said, “We should talk after we eat.”

n“Yes.”

nAfter eating, Mago, Woojin, and Bihyung got together to talk. Mago looked silently at Woojin, “The fate of the sky has changed.”

nBihyung’s expression turned grim.

n“What do you mean? You know that’s not a good sign.”

nMago replied, “I can’t reveal much to you, but I know it’s Woojin that brought about the change.”

nBihyung turned to Woojin as Mago continued.

n“I couldn’t read fate after ten years, but it started to change after Wangjinjin died. I think her death was some kind of a trigger.”

nWoojin felt a chill and thought about it. What had he realized? Mago stopped while Woojin recalled his memories and clenched his fists.

n“Day of Chaos.”

nWoojin realized what he was scared of. It seemed like the future was going to change. The Day of Chaos was going to be upon them much sooner.

n“Day of Chaos? What is that?” Bihyung asked.

nWoojin explained, “It’s Amon’s goal. He’s trying to work with the Avatars who want to control reality and let the whole world know of the otherworld’s existence.”

nBihyung scoffed.

n“Yeah, I know they exist, but Avatars like me and Mr. Sun are here to stop them. We won’t allow such a thing to happen.”

nThat’s why all the Avatars panicked when it really happened; they never thought it was possible.

n“No. This isn’t that simple.”

nMago also frowned, “Bihyung, I think the twist in fate might be pointing to that.”

n“What? You too?”

nMago nodded as Bihyung crossed his arms.

n“Hmph. So, what do you want me to do?”

nMago turned to Woojin.

n“Can you stop that- Day of Chaos?”

nWoojin shook his head. There were too many Avatars involved and it was going to happen worldwide. There was no way for him to stop it. If there was only one chance, that was to find Amon. But he hadn’t even located Dmitri yet.

n“If the Day of Chaos brought forward, it might not be as effective.”

nBihyung turned to Woojin.

n“And if it’s not as effective, we can prepare the Avatars of each country to defend from it. However, it will happen all around the world.”

n“Is it that influential?”

nWoojin retraced his memory and spoke.

n“The biggest problem of the Day of Chaos was the assassination of all the Avatars that represented each country.”

n“How do you know all that when it hasn’t even happened yet?”

nWoojin did not answer and Mago smiled.

n“Bihyung, I don’t think Woojin alone will be enough to solve this.”

nBihyung shouted, “What do you mean? I’m doing all I can to help him.”

n“No. He’ll need more direct help this time.”

n“Direct? What kind of direct…”

nBihyung then realized what Mago was trying to say and stared at her.

n“Granny, you want me to join him on the frontlines?”

nMago didn’t answer and Bihyung became dumbfounded.

n“Me? Not Beom or Hong, but me?”

n“It’s that important.”

nWoojin also nodded.

n“It’s better for you to speak to them than me.”

n“You want me to be your messenger to the other Avatars?”

n“What’s more important right now is to we go to those targeted avatars and protect them.”

n“I don’t think assassinating any of them is that easy.”

nUnlike in Korea where Bihyung was the representative because Mago couldn’t get out of Jeju, most of the countries had their strongest Avatar as the representative. It was understandable that Bihyung wasn’t convinced that they will be assassinated but it happened before.

nAvatars that were killed in the past were Amaterasu of Japan, Vishnu of India, and a few others. Sun Wukong was powerful enough to butcher those who tried to kill him.

n“We won’t be able to save everyone, but if we can save at least some of them, it will be a great help.”

n“Sure. But if the enemy is that powerful, we’ll need to make some preparations.”

nWoojin nodded and Bihyung sighed.

n“Alright. So, who are we going to save?”

n“Amaterasu,” Woojin frowned.

n“You think she will be in danger?”

n“Yeah.”

n“You know you are not really liked by the Japanese Avatars right now?”

nThe rumor of Woojin killing Yamato had spread fast through Japan. Yamato had established himself well in Japan so it was natural for Avatars who had a relationship with Yamato to be wary of Woojin. But if he saved Amaterasu from being killed, that could be changed.

nHe was thinking of saving Vishnu too, but if the enemy was powerful enough to kill Vishnu, there was no way Bihyung or Woojin would be of any help.

n“If we save her, they will be on our side.”

n“That’s IF we save her. Amaterasu’s stronger than me.”

n“I know,” Woojin answered and Bihyung shouted.

n“You don’t have to confirm that!”

n“Bihyung, we should work together.”

nBihyung sighed and spoke.

n“Okay. Even if what you say is a false alarm, it’s better to be prepared than regret it later. From what I can see, if the representative Avatars are killed, it means they were attacked from the inside. If they are told to be wary, it will give them a better chance to survive. And for Amaterasu, we’ll go to her ourselves.”

nWoojin smiled. Miho was not yet perfect, but Bihyung was a powerful ally.
