Chapter 1732 Targeting the Flagship

?

"Raarrggh…!!

" Vodyan, the frogmen's chief, groaned when the ship shook heavily from the cannon fires.

His flagship received heavy fire but like the country's flagships, frogmen's flagship also had a high durability. It had rune diagrams and a protective shield that reduced the damage it suffered.

"Move! Don't just stay in one spot…!

" Vodyan told the crews on the bridge.

The crews input the commands to have the flagship move away, but it was slow. Frogmen's flagship possessed a special ability to create the mysterious fog that masked their fleet. But in return, it was much slower than standard ships.

Even so, Vodyan was convinced they would be out of danger as long as they remained mobile.

His hope was squashed, though, because a second volley of heavy fire landed on his ship. This was after the flagship had moved a distance away from its original spot.

"It's pointless. They can track our position,

" Linda said.

"How? They are blind with our fog covering us,

" Vodyan returned.

"Have your frogman warriors taken care of those merfolk?

" Linda asked back.

Vodyan turned silent. The warriors he sent haven't returned yet. He made sure to send more frogman warriors compared to the merfolk he saw entering the water. He had given them the order to slaughter those merfolk, or at the least, stop those merfolk from advancing. He didn't believe his warriors were defeated.

He took out a short-range communication stone and spoke into it,

"Hasman! What the hell is happening down there? Did you stop the merfolk or are you dead?!

"

"Reporting, chief. The merfolk split in different directions. We are still pursuing them,

" Hasman's voice was heard from the stone.

"You, fool!! One of them is already under our flagship! Hurry up and get rid of the one here…!

" Vodyan shouted.

"Right… Right away, chief! We are coming at once!

" Hasman replied.

Vodyan threw the communication stone to the floor in a fit of rage. He then yelled to one of the crews,

"Assemble more warriors and have them dive into the water below. Kill anything that is not a frogman down there!!

"

"Chief, that outworlder's fleet is approaching!

" One of the crews informed.

Vodyan looked at the screen. The fog didn't hinder their vision, so they could see Cipher Flight's fleet. The fleet was heading toward them as if they knew exactly where they were. They also fired their cannons at nearby frogman ships that tried to block their way.

"They also have allies down there who guided them,

" Linda said.

"You should prepare to be boarded, Chief Vodyan. I don't think you can escape them.

"

Vodyan slammed his hand onto the table.

"This cooperation is getting more troublesome than it should. I expect a hefty compensation!

"

"As long as you can eliminate the fleet attacking our capital, we will have no problem compensating you,

" Linda replied.

Vodyan grunted at the response. It was too late to back out now. Might as well commit till the end.

"Ready the summoning chamber!

" Vodyan ordered.

"Ye–Yes, chief!

" One of the crews hurriedly went out to carry out the order.

Vodyan sat back in his captain's seat. He said with a growl,

"I will teach these people what it meant to cross our mighty pirate fleet.

On board the Verremor's flagship, Water Lily received messages from John and input commands to her guild navy through the guild army control platform.

Most of the guild players were fighting the battle on the land but some were here with the fleet. Those players were aboard their guild navy's ships. Disco Rain and Purple Mist were among those players. Purple Mist lost her life during the battle in Aurebor but she wore an amulet of rebirth. She had teleported back into Aurebor once the war ended.

With John's information, Water Lily maneuvered her fleet through the fog. She was targeting the flagships while avoiding the other enemy ships. John also provided support fires to aid her fleet in advancing.

The Frogman fleet didn't possess many large ships. If not for the fog, these frogmen wouldn't be worthy opponents. They became more troublesome if they successfully boarded the ships. Each of the frogmen was a decent combatant.

Even though the frogman's ships were weaker, John couldn't rely on cannon fire to take down the flagship. It would take too long due to the flagship's protective shield. Otherwise, he would have used cannon fires to bombard the frogmen's tower which produced the fog. His plan was for Cipher Flight to attack the frogman's flagship using their guild army. Even if the frogmen were decent combatants, the Cipher Flight's guild soldiers weren't pushovers.

Once they successfully boarded the flagship, they should then work their way to destroy the fog-creating device on the tower of that flagship. Once the fog was gone, the Allied fleet's cannons should make short work on the rest of the frogman's ships.

Water Lily continued adjusting her guild navy following John's coordinates. The flagship tried to flee but it was too slow. They would eventually catch up. All she needed to pay attention to were the coordinates of the other frogman ships who tried to block their way.

She fired at those ships. She also had the Abaia and their caravels engage those ships to prevent those ships from slowing them down. Meanwhile, their frigates continued onward to the enemy flagship.

When her guild navy drew near the coordinates which John indicated were the enemy flagship's position, a large red dot suddenly appeared at the frontmost of her fleet. She lost control of the frigate directly facing this red dot. She also noticed the ship's HP decreasing rapidly.

"What's going on?!

" Water Lily sent a message to Purple Mist.

"It's… It's a Kraken,

" Purple Mist replied.

"A Kraken had just appeared out of nowhere. It is attacking our ships.

Aboard one of Cipher Flight's frigates, Purple Mists was staring at the frigate positioned at the tip of their formation. This frigate was currently being lifted from the water by three gigantic tentacles. These tentacles were applying pressure on the frigate's hull. Cracks were seen all over. Damage numbers also popped up non-stop.

Half-concealed by the lake water was the head of the Kraken. Its other tentacles flapped around its two sides as if signaling to everyone that none was allowed to get past.

If Jack was here, he would have recognized this Kraken. It looked the same as the one he had fought inside Greed's underworld portal. Except this one was a level 90 mythical grade.
