Chapter 91 - Devil In The Church
n
n
nIt was 6 AM in the morning.
nA young nun opened the door of the church and walked in. She walked to the altar and lit some essence candles. Then, she cleaned the altar with a wet, clean cloth and knelt down.
nAfter praying for ten minutes, she turned around and saw someone sitting in the fourth row.
nIt was Leon.
nHe was sitting with his head dropped and his gaze focused between his legs. His mask was still on, and his head was covered with a hood.
nThe nun was surprised to see him sitting, but she wasn't scared.
nThe nun gathered up the courage and reluctantly asked,
"Are… Are you here for prayer?
"
nLeon didn't reply and raised his head to look at the nun.
n
"Why are you here?
" Leon asked the nun.
n
"It's my duty to clean everything in the morning,
" she replied hesitantly.
n
"Why… do you clean?
"
n
"Uhh…
"
n
"Let me rephrase my question…
" After a brief pause, Leon asked,
"Why did you become a nun?
"
n
"Well…
"
n
"To serve the Lord?
" Leon scoffed.
"That's what they say, right?
"
n
"I was an orphan, and I grew up in the church under the care of the other nuns. So I didn't have much of a choice,
" the nun replied.
n
"You were praying for ten minutes straight. What did you pray for?
" Leon asked with a curious look on his face.
n
"I prayed for everyone's well-being and wished them to be happy and safe,
" she responded in a calm voice.
n
"Do you pray the same thing every morning?
"
nThe nun nodded in reply.
n
"And your prayers get unanswered, even though you are a nun…
" Leon muttered.
n
"My prayers get answered,
" the nun remarked.
nIt was too quiet around that when a low whisper could be easily heard at the end of the hall.
n
"There are thousands of people suffering and hundreds of people dying every day. Where are your prayers, then? Why doesn't it work on them?
"
nThe nun didn't reply, or rather, she couldn't say anything in response.
n
"Where were the prayers of all the nuns when I was imprisoned and tortured? Why didn't your prayers save me?
"
n
"...
" the nun was left speechless.
n
"Or is it that your lord only saves someone when they give something in return?
" Leon sneered with a painful expression on his face.
n
"The Lord saves those who are worthy of his blessings,
" the nun replied.
n
"That's what I said…
" Leon sighed and uttered in a disdainful tone:
"So where do people like me go when they need something? Do we also have an evil god or devil who can listen to my prayers? Heck, I wasn't even like this before. I was kind and innocent, so why was I treated that way? I never asked for this life.
"
n
"If you regret your sins and repent, atone for them, then you can find redemption,
" the nun asserted.
n
"Oh, no… ** redemption.
" Leon shook his head and said,
"That's not what I am here for. Nor do I regret any of my single sins.
"
n
"Then what are you here for?
" the nun asked with a curious look on her face.
n
"I… I hear voices in my head. Telling me to do terrible things. But sometimes, I can't control them. I get crazy and have terrible urges to hurt the people close to me, but I don't want to do that. So to shut those voices, I… I do other things to stop the voices. But it's only temporary.
"
nLeon looked at the nun and asked,
"Tell me, how do I shut those voices permanently?
"
n
"Can you still hear the voices?
" the nun asked hesitantly.
n
"Crisp and clear,
" Leon replied.
n
"What does it say?
"
n
"It's telling me to rip you apart, cut you into pieces, and decorate the church with your body parts…
"
nThe nun's face turned pale after hearing that.
n
"What's wrong, miss nun? Are you scared to die?
" Leon asked with a vicious grin on his face.
n
"I am not. I am only scared of the Lord. And even if I die, I will go to heaven!
" the nun retorted.
n
"Let's see how deep your belief is…
" Leon jumped from his seat and swung his hammer-like weapon aimed at the nun's head. He landed near the nun and stopped the weapon one inch away from the nun's face.
nHowever, the nun didn't even blink.
n
"Heh!
" Leon smirked and said,
"Not bad.
"
nThe nun looked into Leon's eyes and asserted,
"You didn't stop because you wanted to; the Lord made you stop. The Lord saved me.
"
nLeon furrowed his brows and pushed the nun down on the floor. Then, he ripped her clothes and stripped her naked.
n
"No…!
" she tried to scream, but Leon stuffed the veil that was on her head earlier in her mouth.
nThe nun covered her breasts with one hand and her sacred place with the other hand.
nHowever, Leon pinned down her hands and legs.
nLeon looked at the nun's naked body and licked his lips before saying,
"Not bad for a nun.
"
nThe nun closed her eyes and averted her face to the side as tears rolled down her cheeks.
n
"You said you will go to heaven, right?
" Leon squeezed the nun's breasts and said,
"I will show you the heavens.
"
nLeon inserted his finger in the nun's sacred place and said,
"What's wrong? Why don't you ask your Lord to save you?
"
nLeon unzipped his pants and said,
"Let's see how he saves you.
" He laughed out loud.
nHowever, his laugh vanished when he noticed his snake wasn't getting up.
n
"...
"
nLeon rubbed his snake on the nun's sacred place, but it still wasn't getting hard.
nSIGH!
nLeon let go of the nun and stood up after saying,
"You got lucky.
"
nHe turned around but stopped and looked at the naked nun from the corners of his eyes and muttered,
"Or maybe your lord saved you.
"
nAfter saying that, Leon walked out of the door while dragging the weapon on the floor.
nThe nun sat up and covered herself with her ripped clothes.
n
"A devil in the church,
" she muttered under her breath.
nLeon walked into the city for a few minutes until his gaze fell on the medical laboratory.
n
"If the gods can't fix my problems, then I will choose the modern way and ask the doctors.
"
n
