Chapter 322 - First Target

nThe different specialized groups under the Yukiho banner worked all that at the same time. While the Collectors collected the horns, the supporters tended to the injured, All the while the hunters fought with the current beast in front of them. Not to mention the scouts had already begun searching for the next Dreadtar even before the current Dreadtar was killed.
nKlautz had indeed built the perfect coordination considering their earlier lack of expertise in anything among the newbies. Most of the skills they had to their name were but irrelevant in the world of hell.
nBut the cost of learning these new skills was possibly higher than they could have every imagined but the newbies won't be realizing it anytime soon.

"Klautz, which group are we sabotaging first?
" Evelyn asked Klautz.
nThe art of the ninjutsu lied in sabotaging one's target. It wouldn't be an understatement to call it one of the fundamental pillars that was aimed while this martial form of the commoners was built in the Edo period. And Klautz was indeed a professional.
nWhat Evelyn believed was that they were going to do the same. Even though she knew nothing of the ninja she had some idea. Her thought process went along the lines of 'They would be destroying the opposition's progress to increase their own chances of victory.'
nBut Klautz shook his head. He had his own definitions. And without any ninja based skills to his name other than his basic Star Dagger they would be better off not aiming for sabotage.
n
"We are not going for sabotage. No matter how many weak groups we sabotage in the end we cannot stop the true threats to our victory. Benton would stand unfazed if we can't even stop his progress. Certainly without the proper tools exploiting him in any manner would be nigh impossible. Thus, there is simply no worth in stopping these weak groups.
"
nEvelyn tilted her head. It seems that she had some doubts as to why they were here then. Though she hadn't had much confidence in her own strength against the second gen but she had followed along with Klautz was he was the acting general of her group and also the reason why she was safe.
n
"Then? What are we going to do?
"
nKlautz's face turned grim.
n
"What we are going to do is essentially stealing. And your ability can't even be a better card for a job like this.
"
nEvelyn herself reminded Klautz of a great thief of hell. One of the few targets he had failed to kill or rather failed to get a hold of because of his annoying teleportation ability. Even the sneaky ninjas would be put to shame in front of him. But, he chose to devote his life to feeding the poor and stealing from the rich.
nBut Evelyn's mission was nothing but petty.
n'With our few numbers we cannot match them.' Klautz's decision was firm.
nSo the best option for him was to steal from the smaller groups and have those horns to his group's name. As long as they don't hey caught things would proceed smoothly. Of course it would never be easy, but with Klautz skill and Evelyn's ability it was definitely within reach.
n
"The Liqui Group, that's what we are looking for as our first target.
"
n
"The Liqui Group…
" Evelyn muttered.
n'I think I have heard of that name somewhere before. Can't recall though.'
nThere were several groups that were on Klautz's list as of now. But he chose it to be the first for various reasons.
n
"Different groups are following different codes to hunt. The Liqui group are a good example. They are brute forcing through everything to get the highest returns possible with the highest number of men. While it might sound good… but there is a lot of wasted labor and…
"
nKlautz checked the group of men in front of him to figure out if his assumptions were right about them. Klautz had been spying on them for quite a while now and knew most of the information about them and their basic setup including routes and formations but he still couldn't be sure.
n'As long as they don't make last minute changes everything should be fine.'
nHow could Klautz trust his luck so easily? His luck had been the **tiest that it could be. He couldn't help but cross check his assumptions.
n'Looks like nothing has changed.'
nKlautz breathed a sigh of relief as he realized that they were going along with their original plan and formation. If things were like he would have no problems in regards to this group. But would Evelyn be able to do it? THat was a matter that was yet to be tested out.
n
"And?
"
n
"And the procured dreadtaur horns through the hunt are not guarded properly.
" Klautz replied as his lips twisted to a smile.
nThis was the reason that Klautz had picked this group as the first. For it could be the easiest of the day. The second gen leading it, Liqui, was a big meat head and had ordered all of his manpower to hunt for beasts instead, to the point of himself joining in killing them. None of the manpower was used to protect what they had earned. Thus they were literally a golden bag for klautz.
n'This would also serve as a good testing ground for Evelyn skills, depending on which I would have to decide to take her along or leave her behind on this mission.'
nKlautz had left many of his comrades before who were unworthy of his missions. But most of the time he had left them dying after being used as a tool for that was the code of the ninjas.
nBut Klautz had his own morals in this life too. He won't be using Evelyn, he would be partnering with her instead. And if she is unsuitable he would leave her out safe and sound.
