Chapter 48 - Majestic Fire

nKlautz raised his brows at the scene that was painted in front of his eyes.

n

"TurtTree

"

nThese are monsters that are found in hell in some specific places. Klautz knew of them. They were giant size turtles that had a lot of Drus living in them as a symbiosis relationship. Being a herbivore it needs to protect itself against wild hunters. The Drus fights for the beast protecting, in exchange for it the TurtTree gives them a home forming the perfect symbiosis.

n

"Didn't expect these to come here.

"

nThe newbie area mostly had ferocious beasts dictated by hunger to the point of cannibalism. Thus the existence of such a beast in the newbie area wasn't expected by Klautz.

n

"These have a high defence but with a little bit of magic…

"

nThe TurtTree had high defence but it was weak to magic, specifically fire-type magic since it was a tree type monster. It burns brilliantly in flames.

nBut Klautz was no mage and he had no means of becoming one. His class 'Spirit Conjurer' had little to do with fire magic. But he had other tricks up his sleeves.

nHe rubbed the ring on his forefinger The ring glowed. An accessory type item he had got from his first-ever quest. He hadn't used it even once. With it comes the move 'Fire Bolt'!

nName: Probationer

nRank: D

nClassification: Equipable type

nDurability: Max 5 times (5

/5)

nEffect: For 10 mins, users can choose to increase all their ability 2, use Healing Wave, or Fire Bolt

nKlautz smirked as he rubbed his ring.

n

"One would be enough.

"

nUsually, newbies in hell cannot use spells. The mage class is not there in the newbie areas. But accessories like these were an exception to the rule. It was a D rank item no more. Even such a low-grade item can prove to be fatal if used on the right beast.

n

"Which leaves me wondering. How did the lunatic clear this stage?

"

nKlautz doubt had its ground as normally it would be almost impossible to clear this stage without a fire type move or equipment.

nBut, He shrugged raising his shoulders.

n

"No point in thinking over spilt milk.

"

nKlautz smirked. He raised his hand in the air facing his palm at the beast.

n

"Fire Bolt!

"

nUser used Probationer.

nNumber of turns remaining (4

/5)

nA spark of fire originated in one palm as it grew larger and larger into a huge ball, the size of Klautz himself. He raised his palm and threw the ball at the beast with zeal.

n

"Ha!

" With his chin held high and his chest thrust out he swung his arms.

nThe ball left his palms as it travelled through the air. A burning noise resounding from it as it illuminated the whole area. The ball didn't pass unnoticed to the now busy Dant and his team. They looked at it in awe. They had seen nothing so beautiful so mesmerising! Their faces got dies in a tinge of orange as if it was the dawn of the morning son. Their pupils rippled as it reflected the ball of fire.

n

"Wow, what's that.

" His eyes widened and his mouth slacked. Even the screeching Drus weren't able to jolt him back to reality.

nTo Dant and his grew it might be a symbol of awe but not to the beast who was now horrified. It panics as it screeched.

n

"Screech!

" As if by some magic all of the Drus turned to the turtle beast on their master's call or should one say cry for help. The tortoise knew better than anyone else what was going to happen to it now, but it still wanted to have the last struggle to survive.

nThe Drus ran to the now worried beast. With the little wings on their back, they flew in front of him as they stood between the path of the fireball. All the others sighed in relief. The Drus were retreating for some reason unknown to them. They did have their guesses that they were scared of them. It wasn't long until all of the Drus came in front creating a huge green wall of Drus flesh to protect their master the turtle.

nBut alas. Their bodies were of use! Bodies made of plant materials that were rich in carbon, their bodies burned to a crisp as they came in contact with the ball.

n

"Screech!

" The Drus screamed as they watched their brothers burn alive, and had resigned the same fate as them. They cried a dying cry. They want to tell their master, that even in death they were with it.

n*Crackle*

nThe fire made a crackling noise as it swallowed the Drus one by one. It was now the beast's turn. With no speed to its name, it could only resign to its faith. It always had high defence, but it never worked against fire magic, it knew so by its instinct. The beast closed its eyes.

nThe fire collided with its face. The beast gritted its teeth as it bore the pain. It wasn't given an easy death, it would be burned alive. It had killed Kristie indeed but it had given him a much merciless death. It had killed him flat with his leg before sucking his resources dry. It was painless… an instant kill. It felt that it didn't deserve such a death.

nBut can the beast say that aloud?

nLittle by little the fireball surrounded the beast's whole body. His face, the tree at its back all burned to cinders. Ashes rose to the roof that was otherwise black giving it a smoky appearance.

n

"Screech!

" The beast couldn't hold back its pain any more as it cried. Its flesh was falling apart as it got roasted and turned black. The fire only slowly crept as it spread to his whole body.
