Chapter 19 - Finally A Ray Of Hope

nToday Sam found an underground cave about 200 meters from the boundary.

nLater he found that it was the burrow of an old friend.

nAt first he didn't care much since he thought it was just another snake , but he found a big burn mark on the back of this snake.

nIt was the small king cobra that had already grown to the size of a python .

nAs he focused more he found that it was not as haughty as before and stayed inside the burrow all the time.

nWhat caught Sam's attention was a green light inside the cave which has pushed away the black smoke , the snake remained coiled around this green light all day as if it was the most precious treasure .

nSam had already noticed through one months observation, that the snakes absorbed the black smoke and the red animals the red smoke in little amounts every day which helped them grow.

nBut the small snake's growth seemed a little too fast.

nSam had the vague feeling that this was the result of the green light.

nSo he focused completely on the cave , to find the secrets of the green light.

nBut unlike the previous time, the snake didn't notice someone was spying on it.

nThis was one of the gains he obtained after eating the brown fruit , his spiritual sense became more merged with nature, unable to be detected and this was even more when he used earth as the medium.

nThis was the reason why none of the monsters detected him while he was observing them and the pressure exerted by the red smoke was also removed .

nAfter observing carefully, he found that the source of green light was a green jade like thing in the shape of a seed .

nBut he got a bigger surprise, this was due to the presence of a human body or what was left of it in one of the corners of the cave.

nOnly the lower part of the body and two hands remained, as if the person was cut in half along with his hands , but the upper body was nowhere to be found .

nHe also found a scroll like thing , but there was some black substance covering it.

nThe moment he saw these stuff he knew this was his ticket out of here.

nThis was also possibly a source of information to figure out the truth of this place.

nHe started to create a plan.

nThe first part was to gauge the strength of the snake.

nHe made the strongest golem he could create and moved it towards the burrow to attack the snake .

nThe golem was slow and this made it more vulnerable in the black smoke , the longer it took to fight the faster it started to disintegrate.

nIt took about 5 minutes for it to reach the burrow and the surface color already started changing to grey.

nWhen it reached the entrance the snake noticed it but still didn't move, as if it didn't care .

nBut as soon as the golem entered the cave ,the snake started making hisses and swallowed the green jade.

nAs it swallowed the jade it started making more noises, as if it were in pain.

nThen with a resolved look it started moving towards the golem .

nWhen it was in front of the golem it sprayed out blue poison, which accelerated the corrosion.

nThe golem moved forward and tried to throw a punch, but was slow.

nThe snake avoided it and bit the golem's leg, damaging it with one bite. The snake further injected poison into the golem to weaken it.

nAfter dodging another punch the snake coiled around the golem and made it fall.

nThe leg that was already damaged broke off , it bit the head and within 3 minutes the golem was no more ...

nSam lay on the ground face towards the sky.

nControlling the golem was an exhausting process. Taking it to a fight was really tiring on his energy and spiritual sense, he took big breaths after the effort ...

n

" Experiment number 1 was a complete failure .... after rest lets start again...

"

nHe was not at all depressed by the failure, but instead motivated.

nHis confidence started returning to him slowly, he started creating new golems and experimenting with more fervor.

nDays passed by and he continued with his routine experiments without break, as he knew he was running out of time probably...

n.....
