nCurrently, in front of Porter, there was a three-meter iron-headed ant that was looking at the huge sack beside him.
nIron headed ants have a thick shell around their heads that is very hard to break; however, that's not their strong point. Their strength lies in their mandibles.
nA rank 3 iron-headed ant could instantly chop a tier 1 lesser knight like Porter into pieces.
nSo, Porter was sweating a lot when he saw a rank 3 rank iron-headed ant.
nWhat's more, besides that rank 3 Iron headed ant, there were two rank 2 iron-headed ants that were around two meters in height.
n'What should I do?'
nGenerally, in the same realm, a human would be weaker compared to spirit beasts. So, seeing three iron-headed ants in front of him, Porter could only throw the huge sack filled with devil rabbits at the ants.
n
"Take it and eat it. Just leave us alone.
"
nPorter knew if Iron headed ants attacked him, he would not last for much longer and he would be killed soon. So, he threw the huge sack away trying to distract the attention of all the iron-headed ants.
n
"Tut tut tut
"
nThe three iron-headed ants in front of Porter only glanced at the huge sack filled with devil rabbits' bodies; however, they didn't move; instead, they looked at Porter as though he was the meal they came for.
n
"Master, leave from here. I will try to stop them here.
"
nEven though his plan failed in diverting the attention of the rank 2 and rank 3 iron-headed ants, the rank 1 iron-headed ants around Lucas ignored Lucas and rushed towards the huge bag. So, Porter could only shout at Lucas hoping at least his master would stay alive.
n'Huh?'
nLucas frowned when he saw what was happening and he was shocked to see the three-meter iron-headed ant along with 2 two-meter iron-headed ants in front of Porter.
n'There is no way Porter could win against them. Should I leave?'
nWithout hesitation, Lucas thought to escape because if he stayed here, Porter's life would be wasted for nothing.
n'What if I can kill them all?'
nHowever, for a second, Lucas was tempted to try his best to kill the three iron-headed ants.
n'No, I can't win against a rank 3 iron-headed ant.'
nIn the next second itself, Lucas shook his head and decided to just leave from here to save his life.
n'Tut tut'
nHowever, before he could take a couple of steps, a rank 2 iron-headed ant stopped him from leaving.
nAs for the other rank 2 iron-headed ants, it was using its antennae to communicate with the rank 1 iron-headed ants that were feasting on the dead devil rabbits.
n
"Since you don't want me to leave, I will fulfil your dream.
"
nThe only way from where Lucas could escape was blocked by the rank 2 iron-headed ant, behind him, a rank 2 along with more than 50 rank 1 iron-headed ants and in another direction, it was a rank 3 iron-headed ant.
nAs for the remaining directions, trees and boulders were blocking him from running away. So, he could only fight now.
n
"Porter, how long can you manage that rank 3 iron-headed ant?
"
nBefore he started attacking, Lucas asked Porter as he already planned something.
n
"If I stay on complete defence, I can stall it for 10 minutes.
"
nPorter eyed the rank 3 iron-headed ant as he replied to Lucas.
n
"Okay then. Let's do it. As long as you stall for 10 minutes, I might be able to kill it.
"
nLucas said what he wanted to tell Porter and didn't bother with Porter's reply and rushed towards the rank 2 iron-headed ant with his short swords.
n'What?'
nPorter felt like he had heard the funniest joke in his life; however, he didn't dare to laugh and simply nodded his head.
nA low-level squire who had yet to master a weapon mastery wanted to kill a rank 3 spirit which even tier 1 lesser knight could not do it.
nSo, of course, it was the funniest joke he had ever heard. Nevertheless, Porter didn't want to die without doing anything.
n'I will be on complete defence for the next 10 minutes and before using the self-destruct to at least injure it a little bit.'
nPorter silently decided what he had to do and soon, the rank 3 spirit beast rushed at him.
n….
n'Clang'
n'My short swords can't penetrate through them.'
nLucas used his unique footwork to dodge the rank 2 iron-headed ant's mandibles before attacking it; however, it didn't have much effect on the ant.
nEven the weakest leak, the neck part of the ant was very strong making Lucas frown.
n'Should I use the 'Thunder bullet' now?'
nLucas felt he needed to use the 'Thunder bullet'; however, he wanted to save them for the rank 3 iron-headed ant.
n'Tut'
n'Swoosh'
nDodging the ant's mandibles, Lucas asked the system, 'System, show me the mission progress?'
n'Ding,
nMission progress:- 72
/ 100.
n'Only 28 left.'
nLucas felt he was nearing the mission completion and thought, 'I need to distance myself from these ants to use the 'Thunder bullet'.'
nSince the normal methods were not working on the rank 2 iron-headed ants, Lucas could only think of 'Thunder bullet' which has the power to kill a rank 2 spirit beast or a squire with mastery.
nHowever, to do that, Lucas needed two minutes to cast the spell which would definitely not be enough.
n'Wait a second. How did I forget about it?'
nAll of a sudden, Lucas thought of something and without wasting any time, he muttered, 'Lesser mage robe, appear.'
nJust a single word and the lesser mage robe which he picked up from the sovereign shop appeared.
nSoon, we wore it before started his spell casting, 'O lightning elements in nature, heed my call and let me condense a thunder bullet in the…..'
n'Tut tut tut.'
nThe rank 2 iron-headed ant rushed towards Lucas as it felt a bad premonition from Lucas.
n'Tut'
nIt aimed for Lucas' neck as its mandibles were closing to separate Lucas' neck away from his body.
n'Tut?'
nHowever, for some reason, its mandibles were unable to close completely and it struggled a lot to cut Lucas' neck.
n'It's time.'
nAll of a sudden, Lucas opened his eyes and revealed a slight smile on his face.
