Chapter 210 - Threats (威脅恐嚇)
The old woman and Jing Tie Jun were both stunned, the surrounding patients also stopped in their tracks.
This lady was old and had a frail body. It was obvious with just a glance that she was the weaker one. This was disadvantageous to Jing Yun Zhao as it was easier for weaker people to incite feelings of pity from people.
“You little brat, do you like bullying the elderly? Didn’t you go to school? Didn’t your teacher teach you to respect the old and care for the young…” the old woman began.
A tinge of tyranny flashed across Jing Yun Zhao’s eyes, “Old granny, this hospital doesn’t only consist of you. I believe there are also people who have seen the truth of what has happened. Even if everyone thinks that I really hit you, then fine, just get a full body checkup done. Although it’d be a bit troublesome, I think it’s definitely more responsible than just giving you a few hundred dollars, don’t you think?”
“Old granny, I can help you get every single part of your body checked properly, but don’t worry, you don’t have to pay. It’s just drawing some blood and a bit of pain. If we can’t finish checking today, we can continue tomorrow. I’ll bear full responsibility till the end, don’t you think this is a wonderful solution?
When Jing Yun Zhao finished, the old lady’s fierce expression trembled.
“I don’t want to go for a checkup, and I don’t want your money. I just want an apology from you…” the old woman drew the conversation into an impasse.
“An apology? Sure, but you need to consider it carefully,” Jing Yun Zhao sneered. Using a voice people around them wouldn’t be able to hear, she spoke again, “After I apologize, later when someone really crashes into an elderly like you, you can’t blame me again. The road between enemies is narrow; there will be a day where we will cross paths again. If someone like me who’s still young and disobedient accidentally causes fatal harm then, the responsibility doesn’t seem very large actually…”
Hearing these words, the elderly woman couldn’t help but take a step back.
The ill intent around Jing Yun Zhao was dense and her smile was unkind. It was simply too scary.
The old woman turned around, wanting to leave, but Jing Yun Zhao reached a hand out to grab her elbow, still smiling, “Where are you going? Weren’t you going to go for a checkup? Just now, you still kept saying I knocked into you, don’t I have to take responsibility?”
Her long and thin fingers looked like they were only lightly pulling, but the elderly’s expression paled, feeling as if her bone was about to shatter.
Her eyes were opened wide as she stared at Jing Yun Zhao, but the girl still had on her usual cold smile, as if she wasn’t doing it on purpose.
“Yo-you, let go of me,” the granny panicked.
“That, I can’t do. My teacher taught me to respect the old and love the young, and also taught me to bear responsibility for my actions. If you left, who knows if someone would say that I bumped against an old lady and didn’t care for her afterwards!” Jing Yun Zhao echoed the words back at her.
She strengthened her gip by a tiny bit.
“I-it wasn’t you who bumped into me…It was me being careless…” the old lady was finally scared.
She felt like this girl’s words just now weren’t said just to scare her! Her gaze made her look like she wanted to eat her alive, plus her strength! She had the feeling that if she didn’t retreat now, this girl’s grip would shatter her bones the very next second!
“Is that so? Since you say so, I’m reassured.” Jing Yun Zhao looked at her deeply, before she finally released her hand.
The old woman instantly left as if she was running for her life.
When people grew older, they naturally treasured their lives more than youngsters. Who dared to provoke people because of something as small as this? What if they really met a psycho? What then?
Jing Tie Jun looked embarrassed; he didn’t think that Jing Yun Zhao would use this kind of method to scare people. He originally wanted to make use of the opportunity to show-off and let her relax her vigilance. Who knew that this girl would play her cards so against the standard?
When regular teenagers come across this scene, would they solve it using threats?
“That- I…”
“No need to say anymore. Uncle Jing, I’m very clear about what you’re thinking, but what I hate the most is to have people plotting against me. If you’re really my biological parents, then I will naturally fulfil my responsibility to support you. However, if you have other plans, forgive me for not going along with it. Presently, we still don’t know whether we’re really related, so I think I don’t have to fulfil the responsibilities of a daughter as of yet. That’s why, my sincere apologies, but I’ll take my leave first.
