Chapter 304 - Envy, Jealousy, Hate (羨慕嫉妒恨)

304 Envy, Jealousy, Hate (羨慕嫉妒恨)

Once Jiang Xia spoke, Mother Jiang turned her head away in grievance while Jiang Wen Xing awkwardly sighed.

“Xiao Xia, you go with your Mom to take a look. It’s not too convenient for me to show myself since everyone on the street knows me,” Jiang Wen Xing planned.

The mother and son pair both agreed to his words.

They were both in the same industry, and for a man like Jiang Wen Xing to scout out the situation himself, his face would completely be lost.

The pair tidied up their clothes and it didn’t take them long to leave their tea house. This street was unlike the major roads outside and was only one-way, so it was convenient for people to shop and the nearby businesses were doing quite well. Before, the further one went into the street, the more desolate it would be, but today was different.

The nearby customers who were interested in antiques and culture had walked one round before they found the rare scene all walked over to take a look and take part in the ruckus. This caused the traffic on the street to be higher than before.

It even affected the few shopfronts around Yu Ling Tea Pavilion.

Before, everyone would be lazy to go further in to shop, thinking that they’d be able to get what they wanted just in the outer areas. Now, however, there were some people whose mindset had changed. Those shopfronts further in usually didn’t get many customers, so the moment the shop owners saw someone, they’d be very welcoming and enthusiastic in trying to entice them with their goods, unlike those on the outer edges who were standoffish and disrespectful.

The scent of wine didn’t fear being too deep into an alley, while Yu Ling Tea Pavilion’s tea scent pervaded the air tip from miles away.

When the Jiang mother and son pair reached the entrance, they started hesitating.

Just as Mother Jiang was still hesitating on whether she should go in, Jiang Xia suddenly pointed at one of the cars parked in the area, “Mom, I know of this car. It’s a premium luxury version, I heard it costs about a few tens of millions…”

“This one isn’t cheap too, it’s probably at least a few million?” Jiang Xia was already dumbfounded oh standing there, frozen.

He was a boy, so he definitely had some interest in cars. Usually, he would search the web for some car related videos or introductions, fantasising about the day when he would be just as suave and gathering ladies in his ‘seat’…

But now that the actual car was right in front of him, he didn’t even dare to touch it.

He had the minimum requirement for self-knowledge one needed to have (Kyo: are you sure), if he ruined even a tiny bit of that car, their family might have to declare bankruptcy.

Jiang Xia’s eyes were already red from jealousy and his heart was soaked in vinegar. They were both humans, why was the difference between them so large? Some people would have luxury items in their reach the moment they were born, but their family was still driving a ‘broken car’ worth only a few hundred thousand.

He had actually thought his family’s car was not bad before this, but compared to this one before him, it was practically trash

“Such an expensive car, it can’t possibly be rented?” Mother Jiang was even more demoralised because of it.

Their tea house had already been operating for more than a decade, yet there had never been such a glamorous scene. Comparing yourself to others really only makes yourself angry.

Jiang Xia sneered, “Of course not.”

“Forget it, son. Don’t care about the cars, let’s go in to take a look…” Mother Jiang pulled her son and directly stepped into the shop.

However, the moment they stepped through the door, both of them fell into panic. Everything in every corner of this shop was brand new, and there were also some eye soothing plants placed here and there. The scent of tea permeated the entire place, it made one feel their body and kind relax just smelling it. The most crucial thing was the interior design. It didn’t really count as extravagant, but it still expressed tranquility and elegance. In comparison, their family’s tea house were quite run down.

“Hello, table for two?” The server gave a flowery smile, so much so that the Jiang mother and son pair were almost blinded by it.1

How were their own servers like? Expressionless. This kind of look could only be seen on them once in a blue moon.

Still, the pair shook their heads, new staff were always like this. Once they have full adapted to the environment, they would finally know how hard life was. During that time, how would they be able to smile so often?

“This is your shop’s first day of opening, surely there would be some sort of discount?” Mother Jiang asked.
