nChapter 33 – Self-Assuming (自作多情)
nJing Yunzhao had been calling in absent for school for the past few days. When she returned, she had become a completely different person from before, and that sparked the interest and curiosity of the whole class.
nJing Yunzhao’s grades might have been good, but because of her unpopularity, no one wanted to be her deskmate. She also had to be stubborn, so she decided to just move her desk all the way to the back of the classroom. Over there, she wouldn’t bother anyone and no one would bother her.
n
n
nBut today, when Jing Yunzhao entered the classroom, she strangely realised that her desk was missing.
n“Jing Yunzhao, your seat is over here!” From the crowd, a boy suddenly shouted while smiling.
nHer gaze followed the direction to where that boy was pointing at, and she became dumbfounded.
nThat seat was the class’s “prime site.” If her memory served her right, the desk mate was the class monitor, the seat in front belonged to a committee member, and furthermore, the students behind all had good grades. It could be said that all the good students were all gathered there.
n
n
nAs for her desk partner, that class monitor…
nJing Yunzhao frowned.
nThe class monitor’s name was Jiang Xia (蔣夏). His grades were in the top five of the class, and he was also part of the basketball team. He was even included in the school prince rankings, just that he wasn’t in the upper ranks.
nThe reason why Jing Yunzhao remembered him so clearly wasn’t because of how outstanding he was. It was because he was the one who had chased after her madly. Originally intending to dump her after getting her, he didn’t think that she would end up in jail before that. Later, when Jiang Xia had realized that there was no need for his plan anymore, he mocked her and told her the truth.
n
n
nNo matter how passionately he had chased after her, Jing Yunzhao’s heart had never skipped for him. She was only moved.
nUnfortunately, she never thought that the person who had moved her was only a liar; A liar who only did so to try to win Qiao Hongye’s affection. It made all the remaining light in her life vanish.
nJing Yunzhao had originally wanted to refuse that seat, but thinking of what Jiang Xia had done to her in her past life, she sat right down.
n“Jing Yunzhao, we had all misunderstood you in the past. I represent the whole class and apologize to you for our behaviour. Also, this seat is pretty good. In the future, if there’s anything you’re unsure about, we can help each other.” Jiang Xia stood up and spoke in front of everyone.
n(IntruderFH: Bruh, she’s the top scorer in the whole school…)
n“Thank you, Class Monitor,” Jing Yunzhao replied politely. Her expression did not show any enthusiasm unlike what Jiang Xia was expecting.
n
n
nJiang Xia was a bit unsatisfied.
nThere were quite a number of girls in this class that crushed on him, and there were many people who wanted to sit next to him. But now that he took the initiative to let Jing Yunzhao occupy that seat, how could she not have shown any reaction?
nHowever, they were currently in front of other students, so it would not be good for his reputation to display a bad attitude. Jiang Xia could only smile and endure it.
n“Jing Yunzhao, I heard that you no longer live at home? Did you have a falling out with your parents? In truth, all parents love their children, they just have different ways of expressing it. Don’t worry about it too much. Wait till Friday, and you can just return home, give in and apologize. Everything will work out then…” Jiang Xia started to ramble the moment he sat down.
nJing Yunzhao suddenly realized what an unlikeable insect Jiang Xia really was. She just never noticed that in her past life!
nOpening up a book and not lifting her head, Jing Yunzhao acted as if she could neither hear nor see him.
n“Why aren’t you talking? Are you feeling down? Actually, you don’t have to be like this. Isn’t Qiao Hongye from the neighbouring class your little sister? She seems lovable and obedient. You should explain everything to her and ask her to help you out at home. Your dad will definitely forgive you then. If you’re really that reluctant to do it, I’d be happy to help you. I’ll talk to Qiao Hongye after class. It’s only an apology, nothing hard…”
