Chapter 78 - Ten Missions

nWhen Vincent arrived on the second floor, he saw Johnny.

n“Vincent! You’re here!” said Johnny excitedly.

n

n

nHe had heard from Sibis that Vincent wanted to join the Special Forces.

nVincent’s presence would undoubtedly strengthen the Special Forces.

n“Mayor Johnny, long time no see!” said Vincent whilst smiling and nodding.

n“Let’s go! I’ll bring you to meet the members of the Special Forces. You can get to know the team!”

n

n

nJohnny then brought Vincent inside.

nThe second floor was roughly the same as the first floor except for the fact that it had rooms. Based on Johnny’s introduction, Vincent could tell that it was the place where the Special Forces members usually rested.

nAfter walking inside, Johnny led Vincent to a wall. He then pressed his hand against the wall. Suddenly, the wall opened and revealed an elevator door.

nThe two of them walked in as soon as the elevator door opened. The elevator then moved downwards.

n

n

n“The Special Forces usually train underground. On one hand, it’s to ensure everyone’s safety. On the other hand, it’s better for training too.”

n“The elevator is hidden. Only those who are on the Special Forces list can access it. Ordinary people will not be able to find the entrance at all,” explained Johnny.

nVincent nodded.

nThe Special Forces were the most important force in Hero City. There would not be any problems if they took the right protective measures.

nLess than three minutes later, the elevator came to a halt. Vincent and Johnny exited the elevator.

nVincent saw all kinds of training equipment there. They were not much different from Quinn.

n

n

nMany people were busy training.

n“Nask!” shouted Johnny loudly.

nA thin and feminine-looking man who was training walked over.

n“Vincent?”

nNask was stunned after seeing Vincent.

nDue to Vincent’s outstanding performance, the members of the Special Forces were aware of who he was.

n“Vincent, let me introduce him to you. Nask is the captain of the first squad of the Special Forces.”

n“Nask, I don’t have to introduce Vincent, right? From now on, he will be the captain of the Special Forces. He will be managing the five Special Forces squads.”

n

n

nNask smiled at Vincent.

n“You will need to accept missions on the first floor. You can rest on the second floor and have meetings on the third floor. Training will take place underground.”

n“If you have any problems, you can look for me at any time,” said Johnny.

nJohnny then turned around and left.

nEverything else was left for Vincent to handle. It would not be good if Johnny interfered. As for whether Vincent would be able to subdue the group of unruly fellows, that was not his concern.

nHowever, in his opinion, such a small scene would not be a problem for Vincent.

nWhen the members of the Special Forces heard Johnny mention that Vincent was a Squadron Leader, they all turned to look at him unhappily.

nThey knew Vincent was very strong. However, he had already become their leader the moment he arrived. They were not comfortable with it at all.

nNask looked at Vincent with a meaningful gaze. His pupils constricted.

nHe had known Johnny for a long time. Although a good seedling like Vincent would definitely be able to join the Special Forces, he had never expected him to become the Squadron Leader the moment he arrived.

nOne had to understand that the position of Squadron Leader was a dream position amongst the captains of the five Special Forces squads.

nThey had worked hard for many years, but they had not been able to achieve it. Vincent on the other hand had directly descended from the sky. Nask felt extremely uncomfortable.

nEven though their Special Forces were far superior to the other forces, in reality, they would only be able to see Johnny a few times a year. However, Vincent could go look for Johnny at any time.

n

n

nThe difference in treatment was very obvious.

nAfter seeing Nask’s reaction, Vincent knew what was ahead of him.

nHowever, he was not the least bit worried. As the saying goes, where there are people, there will be fights. Compared to what he would be facing in the future, this kind of situation was child’s play.

nA big fist was the truth!

nThis was the unspoken rule of the world.

nWhether one was willing to submit or not, he will have to fight until they were willing to submit!

nOf course, Vincent also planned on taking the initiative to stir up some trouble. He smiled at everyone and turned to leave.

nHe did not forget why he came to the Special Forces.

n“F*ck! Is it that crazy?”

n“We have no choice. The capital is crazy for him. Apparently, they say if it wasn’t for Vincent, Hero City would have fallen!”

n“Bullsh*t! If we didn’t delay the main monster, what would have happened to him?”

n“Enough! He’s our leader. We have to respect him in the future.”

n“Respect my ass! I can’t stand him. It is as if he is too good for me. I won’t hesitate to beat the ** out of him!”

nNask listened to what everyone was saying. They were becoming more shameless.

n“Disperse! What are you doing? Hurry up and train!” said Nask.

nEveryone shrugged and continued with their training.

nAt the same time, a bald fat man walked over to Nask.

nHe was the captain of the Special Forces, second squad, Runlun Roy.

n“Hey, Nask! You said Vincent left right after he arrived. What is he doing?” asked Runlun Roy.

n“He probably went to accept a mission. After all, everyone who just joined the Special Forces is always very curious about missions,” answered Nask.

n“Let’s go and have a look. I’m more curious about the type of missions he can accept,” said Runlun Roy.

nEveryone was interested to go take a peek.

n“Let’s go and take a look!”

nEveryone got on the elevator and headed towards the Mission Hall.

nJust as they walked down the stairs from the second floor, they saw Vincent accepting missions.

n“Oh my god! He actually accepted six missions!”

nOne of them who had sharped eyes saw the list of missions that Vincent had accepted. His eyes widened in surprise.

n“Hunting high-level monsters, Magnetic Crocodiles!”

n“Searching for high-level ores, Black Gold Sand!”

n“Obtaining a special-level monster, The Egg of the Undying Crow!”

n“Finding the lost staff of life!”

n…

nThe Special Forces members widened their eyes as they looked at Vincent who was still accepting missions.

n“Ten missions! He actually accepted ten missions!”

n“How reckless! He actually accepted so many missions!”

n“Hmph! He’s just trying to attract attention! These missions have been hanging on the top for at least half a year, how can they be so easy to complete?”

n“If not for the fact that he’s a Squadron Leader and we’re just members!”

nRunlun Roy snorted coldly, “I want to see where this guy gets his confidence from. He actually dared to accept ten missions!”

nNask’s eyes flickered, but he did not say anything.

nVincent slowed down and looked at the mission card in his hand. He nodded his head in satisfaction.

nAfter all, he felt like he was going on a trip. If he only accepted one or two missions, it would be a waste of time. He might as well accept a few more.

nUnfortunately, he could only accept a maximum of ten missions at a time. Otherwise, he would have accepted all of the missions on the list.

nVincent did not know that the Special Forces members were jealous of him.

nOf course, even if he knew, he would not care.

nHe was so strong. Being able to accept ten missions was a skill. What was the use of envy and jealousy? If he had the time, he might as well make himself stronger.

nHe turned around and saw the members of the Special Force. They all stared at him like he was a joke. Vincent smiled and nodded at them again. He then walked out of the mission hall with his head held high.

n
