nHan Moze’s eyelids quivered open and he spoke in a feeble voice. “Isn’t it time to eat? Go ahead. Don’t worry about me. I have no appetite.”
nLiu Rushuang immediately sat up and turned to look at his pale, sickly complexion. “How could I? I’ll get something to feed you,” she said with furrowed brows.
nWith that said, she got out of bed and drew the covers over him. Then, she turned to leave.
nHe watched her with a faint smile.
nVery quickly, she intructed the palace maid to cook him various dishes and placed them by his bedside.
nShe picked up the bowl of rice and carefully fed him.
nHan Moze laid back on his pillow and chewed the food she fed him with a slight smile on his face.
n“You should eat something too. Don’t just feed me everything,” he said with an extremely weak voice.
nLiu Rushuang curled her lips reluctantly. “It’s fine, it wouldn’t be too late to eat after this.”
nShe continued to feed him.
nHan Moze looked at Liu Rushuang with eyes as gentle as water and softly said, “Thank you for taking such good care of me.”
nAll of a sudden, Liu Rushuang realised that after Han Moze fell ill, he hasn’t been the least bit tyrannical.
nHe was simply a lovable, considerate man!
nBut she still felt like something was lacking. He treated her like a normal friend and was polite to her as though she were a stranger!
nShe didn’t really like how it felt..
nShe pouted and suppressed the hint of annoyance to the depths of her heart as she continued to carefully and gently feed Han Moze
nHan Moze chewed his food in his feeble, dizzy, and sleepy state.
nA familiar ache arose in Liu Rushuang’s heart.
nAfter she finished feeding him, she ordered the palace maids to clean up.
nShe then stayed behind to continue taking care of Han Moze.
nIn his frail state, Han Moze said, “Go eat something. I want to sleep for a bit.”
nLiu Rushuang sniffled, then turned around to leave, feeling slightly anxious.
nSoon enough, she finished her meal and headed right back to take care of Han Moze.
n*Cough* Han Moze weakly opened his long, narrow, handsome eyes and said in a hoarse voice, “Why are you back so soon?”
nL did not want to admit that she hurried back because she was truly worried for him, thus she quietly replied, “I-I… I’m a fast eater.”
n“You don’t have to look after me every second. I know that I’m sick and I would definitely be able to hold out for a month but it’s really boring staying in the palace everyday. I really want to go outside,” said Han Moze weakly with a faint smile.
nLiu Rushuang endured the soreness in her nostrils and softly muttered, “Shall I take you outside the palace tomorrow?”
nHan Moze smiled. “There’s a mountain beyond the capital with a moon pavilion. When I was young, I would often go there to enjoy the view and practice martial arts. It’s really beautiful. I would love to visit again.”
nLiu Rushuang looked at Han Moze’s eyes that was filled with hope, then tenderly grasped Han Moze’s palms and spoke with a comforting voice, “I’ll take you there tomorrrow. I’ll take you wherever you want to go.”
nHan Moze’s eyes clearly lit up for a moment, but instantly dimmed again after some thought.
n“With my current strength, I can’t hike such a tall mountain. I’m not going, but I do recommend you go check it out if you have the time. You’ll definitely like it,” he said in a sandy, hoarse voice.
nLiu Rushuang furrowed her brows in thought for a moment, then awkwardly said, “I-I… I don’t want to go alone. I-if I… I order people to carry you up the mountain, would you go?”
nShe was going to go all out to help Han Moze’s dying wishes come true.
nThat way, she would feel a little less guilty in the future.
nHan Moze flashed a charming smile upon his weak, pale face. “There’s no need. I believe I can definitely hike up there because you’ll be there to cheer me on.”
nLiu Rushuang immediately felt a little awkward and her cheeks flushed a little.
n
