Chapter 372 - Dragons have joined

n‘What is this?’
nBenjamin had this confusing question in his mind when Godric suddenly mumbled, “Aren’t they like pets? Like… you know how people in the Empire raise different animals and monsters as hobbies. They’re called pets.”
n“Pets!”
nBenjamin glared. The children were indeed being well taken care of. It was like they were being cared for as pets.
n“They are all kids. Look at them! But old enough that they don’t need a mother.”
nBenjamin was shocked.
n
n
n‘I… I’ve got to let people know!’
nSuddenly a light flashed, and Godric looked down at his chest where there was now a big hole.
n“HAH! Idiots!”
nThrough the hole, Benjamin saw an enemy soldier that looked like a reptile coming up to them.
n‘Dammit!’
nBenjamin saw the reptile soldier smiling as it came over. Benjamin closed his eyes. When nothing happened and he opened them up, he saw the reptile soldier vomiting blood.
n“…”
n
n
nBenjamin was too shocked. He couldn’t even scream when Godric suddenly came up to him and slapped him. That immediately snapped him out of his daze.
n“Ugh!”
n“Gosh, this bastard blew my cover. Stupid reptile. Oh well, maybe I’ll take this as a chance to move over to their world. I’ll be the first.”
nGodric, still with a giant hole in his chest, was mumbling something as he held onto the reptile head that he decapitated. Benjamin grew sick and began vomiting.
n“Oooh, you’re not used to this I see.”
n“Wh… what are you…”
nGodric began searching the enemy soldier, then stripped him. Benjamin finally thought of a more important question.
n
n
n‘H…how is he alive? How can he still be talking?’
nAnd then, as Benjamin became sicker, Godric began to change shape. His skin began growing scales and he changed into the reptile soldier.
n“Y… you are…!”
n“I’m Green Dragon, Godric Gordon.”
n“Ah!”
nBenjamin sighed in relief. Everything was explained when he learned the true identity of Godric.
n“I’ll sneak into their camp with this look, then disguise as one of the kids. Don’t you think it will be fun? Oh, go let the army know what I’m up to.”
n
n
n“Y-yes, sir.”
n“Go on, take care!”
n“Commander Halis. The dragons have joined the war.”
nAn old man came in and informed Halis, who replied with a smile.
n“Sir Todd. Come in, please.”
nTodd sat down and took a sip of tea.
n“So, the dragons are now in the war too?”
nTodd Veneth was a former lieutenant of Chancellor Jackson, who was now one of the senior advisors of the Empire. Todd continued.
n
n
n“Yeah. It’s from the report of a war reporter from the front lines.”
n“Are you sure you can trust the reporter?”
nHalis asked.
n“Of course. They won’t lie about something like that.”
n“I guess so.”
n“There’s a more important matter.”
n“And that is?”
n“The one that brought the reporter along was a dragon named Godric, who was disguised as a soldier. There, the reporter saw something shocking.”
nTodd stopped and drank more tea. Halis calmly waited for Todd to continue.
n“They found many kids under the age of 10 in captivity.”
n“Are they kept as prisoners?”
n“No. It appears that they are taking our kids as pets.”
n“That’s why kids have been going missing…”
n“The dragon Godric then changed shape to sneak into their camp and went over into their dimension.”
n“Hmph.”
nTodd nodded then continued.
n“I heard we’ll have our scout team sent over as well.”
n“That sounds very dangerous.”
n“Of course. But we will always have to face danger.”
nHalis did not look too happy, but Todd shook his head and continued.
n“Enough with the news. I’m actually here to find his Majesty, your father, and Sir Graham. This war will not end with just us.”
