Chapter 343 Gathering Voters (3)

nAnother day, another chance to roam around and gather some voters!

nWell… As much as I’d like to, I can’t move at the moment. After all, fitting ten people in a king-sized bed is stretching it. When I opened my eyes, I was sandwiched by soft mountains from all sides, unfortunately making me unable to move freely.

nI could feel them jiggle, move, and deform whenever I adjusted my posture, making me completely unable to escape their trap. D*mn, this is too effective!

nWhen my eyes moved a bit higher, moving to their faces, I could see several pairs of eyes staring at me with amusement. Don’t tell me, they’re awake right from the beginning?!

n“Master… can you shower us with your love today?”

nEmber asked, her eyes quivering in anticipation. My reason almost flew out the window while looking at their puppy eyes, but just like last night, I gave them the same answer.

n“Sorry, girls. But I’m still going to be busy from today until the end of the election.”

nIt was a disappointment—a real disappointment—to not be able to touch them within this period. Of course, the girls understood my current situation and didn’t push the topic too hard, which probably made them pull this stunt to at least get back at me… I think.

n“After the election, I promise, I won’t hold back.”

n— .

nAfter getting released by the girls, I changed into my usual formal clothes (the Seimei one) and went around greeting the citizens, appearing publicly, doing parades, participating in relief operations, and many others. It was extremely tiring to do all that.

nI was so tired every day that, as soon as I hit the sack, I entered the world of dreams without delay. Such a schedule repeated for a few days until half-time, the 15th day of the election’s campaign period.

nFor this, Zeshion and the three others prepared a stage for us, where we would be performing a public appeal of our plans and debating against each other.

nThe debate would be transmitted to everyone in the kingdom through a special viewing crystal, something like a television, letting the entire country watch over and judge us.

n“Sh*t, I’m suddenly getting nervous…”

nI’m not the outgoing type, after all. Even in my previous life, whenever I needed to do presentations, I always messed up due to being nervous.

n“Leader, don’t worry! We got your back!”

n“Right, Will. Just focus on what you prepared, and we’ll surely be winning this debate!”

nAs a companion, I brought Fang and Fina along. The girls fought hard and fairly just to decide who would be coming with me for the debate, and the two of them won.

nThe method of their battle? Rock-paper-scissors, best of three, round robin. It felt more like a tournament hearing that, but unfortunately, I wasn’t present when they fought.

nI was actually surprised that Fatima lost, given that she was a God-tamer before. However, apparently, she was the unlucky type, so she lost consecutively.

nAnyway, with Fang, who won on instinct and fast reaction speeds, and Fina, who was a little sneaky, they managed to bag the top two spots.

n“Oh, it’s your turn to take the stage now, leader!”

nFang pointed at the backdoor of the stage, her ears twitching as her tail wagged vigorously. She must be really excited for today. I could hear Vermeil’s voice calling for me, so I quickly walked up the small ladder, with Fang and Fina following right behind.

n“… Let’s all welcome Will and his tamed monsters!”

nThe sun was high up since the time was approaching noon. I was blinded by the bright scenery for a short while before my vision expanded, seeing the countless supporters watching the debate live.

n“*Gulp*…!”

nD*mn, my stage fright… Just as I was starting to shake and my smile was slowly stiffening, two warm hands held mine on either side.

n“(Relax, Will. Just keep your eyes straight and smile.)”

nFina’s whisper could be heard right in my ear. Without a second thought, I followed her words and kept my gaze fixed on the horizon, with a fake smile, as friendly as I could make it look, pasted on my face.

nAfter a few seconds, I decided that it was already enough and walked to my podium. Behind it was a soft-looking sofa, set there for us to use. I sat down, letting myself sink deep into the cushion, and tried to relax my tensed nerves.

nFang and Fina sat to either side, leaning closely against my body. They were sticking so close that I could faintly feel their heartbeats. As I listened to the regular beats of their hearts, mine also started to slow down, matching their pace.

nAs I was starting to get out of my tunnel vision, I finally noticed the two other groups on either side of the stage. Wait, I’m at the center? I thought…

nAnyway, right now, to my right is the confident-looking and bossy, as usual, Karran. Millinda was to my left, sitting comfortably with a serene smile on her face. Looking at them acting so brazenly, I’m sure they’re accustomed to bathing under this much attention. 𝑖𝘦.𝘤𝑜𝘮

nBy the way, Karran brought two of his tamed monsters too; both were girls the same as mine, but their appearance was… How should I put it? Furry? It was a different vector of “human-like” than Fang’s. Well, their “assets” wouldn’t lose to Fina’s, though, so I guess he’s still a “man of culture.”

nMillinda, on the other hand, had her two tamed monsters standing behind her. Hers looks a bit more familiar to me… I’ve seen those back in my previous life too. They look like the bouncers at club entrances, or the buff guys you see at the gym. Anyway, their muscle volumes were beyond reason; it was hard to look at!

nTo match, they were even wearing nothing but a speedo… Honestly, as a man, it wasn’t pleasant to look at, but seeing how well received they were by the female audience, I guess that works as a method of “gaining support” too.

n“Now that all of our contenders are here, let’s begin with Karran Helios! Karran, please take to the stage.”

nFinally, the appeal time started!
