n“The tables aren’t prepared yet? Then hurry up and do it!”
n“Head Maid, the chef is complaining, saying that there are missing ingredients from the list!” .
n“The head butler slid down the ladder and is now unconscious! What do we do?!”
n“F*CK! We’re too busy now to cater to these small matters! Settle them on your own!”
nAt the moment, the entire Seimei clan was moving around busily.
nWhy? Because today was the crowning ceremony. With it being a national-level event, the number of visitors we would need to cater to would be beyond the level of my coronation as the Luo and Seimei head before.
nI had been sitting before a mirror for three hours now, since early morning, just to let the maids fix my appearance. I mean, it doesn’t matter, does it? The viewers would be kilometers away at most, so they could only see me as a small dot in their eyes.
n“Owww!”
nThe part that’s taking the most time is fixing my attire. I guess this is what a tightly wrapped burrito feels like. Anyway, with how tight the clothes around my body were, it was getting harder and harder for me to breathe properly.
nIf I faint later due to loss of oxygen, then I’ll blame the head maid… No, let’s blame Guren. Yep.
nBy the way, the election was just finished yesterday, less than 24 hours ago. The coronation was being rushed as it was the request of the four god tamers, so we had no choice but to accede. This and that happened, and in the end, we welcomed this chaotic scene.
n“Head Maid, the tamed monster of Clan Head has finished dressing up.”
n“Finally, good news! Make them wait at the backstage!”
nOh, so Ember and the others are done already? To think the girls, who should be taking a lot more time dressing up, finished before I did… Just how long will the Head Maid continue redoing my attire?
n“H-Head Maid, this one’s done…”
nA tired voice, coming from one of the shadows helping to dress me up, echoed in the room. Hearing Sasuke’s call, the Head Maid quickly turned around and scrutinized my appearance. Her eyes were narrowed almost to slits as she went, “Hmmm…” while looking at me from head to toe.
nCurrently, I was dolled up in a purple outer robe with a thick cloth embossed with various images like a dragon, lotus flowers, flowing clouds, and such. The innerwear was a white robe similar to what I usually wear but had the sleeves cut midway, making it shorter. To add to that, its textile was similar to the outer robe; it was f*cking thick too!
nThe attire was so hot that if not for me using Temperature Control to lower the temperature inside, I would be sweating like a fountain. After all, the entire set consists of multiple layers of cloth.
nFrom my limited knowledge, this style of clothing should be called Sokutai. Something that was worn during important celebrations, such as a coronation ceremony.
nI was wondering why I wasn’t allowed to wear the same thing I wore when I was crowned as the clan head, but the Head Maid lectured me for two hours when I asked. I regretted asking her since I couldn’t even remember half of what she said then.
n“… Finally acceptable.”
nThe Head Maid’s approval finally came, making the ones who worked hard helping me robe up cheer loudly. I couldn’t help but smile, knowing that I could finally get out of this hell.
nHonestly, I don’t even get what’s different from this set to the first one I tried on hours ago. They look identical, after all.
nAnyway, with the Head Maid’s seal of approval, I was finally allowed to head out. Looking at the time, my coronation ceremony was about to begin.
nI walked slowly since the thick clothes were extremely uncomfortable and hard to move in. But with my dexterity, it didn’t take long for me to get used to it, though.
nWith maids on both sides on standby to help in case I needed it, we walked down the long hallway, heading for the wide-open teleportation portal that leads to a pocket dimension that Goddess Zeta created just for the occasion.
nI walked through it without any hesitation, but the two maids didn’t follow and stood by the entrance, bowing their heads respectfully. Formalities, formalities…
nWhen I popped out the other side of the portal, what greeted me was an army of beautiful women dressed in colorful clothes.
n“Master, finally you’re here! You look dashing in your attire.”
n“Leader, how do I look? Do I look pretty?”
n“My lord, the coronation is about to start. I think it’s time to go up the stage.”
n“Will, you look good in that attire. As they say, clothes make the man.”
n“So this is what formal attire looks like at this age… It’s a little different from what I know. Interesting.”
nThe five of them greeted. Behind them, Minerval, Hekate, Judy, and Yorm stood idly. Of course, similar to the others, they were also dressed in beautiful clothes but were slightly modified to fit their largely different builds.
nIf I were to describe their dresses accurately, then it would probably take too long, so let’s just say that they’re wearing “modified” Yukata with each of them taking a specific color scheme.
nEmber with white, Fang with black, Igni with red, Fina with pink, Fatima with yellow, Minerva with coffee brown, Hekate with gray, Judy with a mix of pink and black, and Yorm with a mix of pink and silver.
nOf course, the colors I mentioned were merely the “theme,” since if their yukatas were of a pure color like that, then staring at them while grouped up would be hard on the eyes. Other accent colors were used to soften the tones, making their beauties stand out more than the color of their dresses. 𝘪𝘳.𝘤𝑜
n“Good morning, girls.”
nI responded to their greetings. Looking at them, my mouth gently curled up into a bright smile. Still, time is running out, so we need to move soon.
n“Well then, let’s go, shall we? Let’s greet the world as this kingdom’s new ruler!”
