Chapter 41 - Second Mother

nThe six men of The Divine Mercenaries were excited. If it was another person, they wouldn’t believe it. But what Qin Haodong had showed was amazing, it might even be possible for him to create another miracle.
nQin Haodong said, “First you seize the time to recover your strength. After a period of time, I will give you a prescription to help you upgrade your cultivation.”
n“Thank you, boss!”
nThey looked at Qin Haodong with obedient grins. In order to avenge their dead brothers, they were willing to pay any price.
nAxe smiled and said, “Boss, what are we going to do in the near future? All the spare parts of our body have rusted this year, so we have to find something to do.”
nQin Haodong answered, “I’m going to set up a security company. You guys help me start my business first.”
nSaber spat his chest and said, “Don’t worry, boss, this is a piece of cake.”
n“Of course I can trust you, but the security company can’t have only six of you. We have to recruit other security guards, which will prove a bit tricky.”
nThen Qin Haodong mentioned Lin Momo’s bodyguards and said, “It’s very difficult to recruit competent, loyal security guards nowadays.”
n“I have a solution,” Nalan Wushuang said.
nNalan Jie looked at Nalan Wushuang and said, “What can you do, girl? Do you have anyone to recommend?”
n“This method is ineffective for others, but only effective for Dr. Qin.” Nalan Wushuang said, “Grandpa, do you remember that there are many special soldiers in our military area who were demobilized because of injuries. They were all excellent and loyal soldiers in the army and they retired just because of their injuries.”
nIf Dr. Qin healed their wounds, these people would be grateful. Their loyalty could be guaranteed. And they were the best special soldiers in the army with high-level capability. Security guard work was a no brainer for them.
nQin Haodong was captivated by this idea. It would be great if he hired these ex-soliders as bodyguards under his own command.
nAt this time, Nalan Jie placed his hope in Qin Haodong. “Dr. Qin, these people are the heroes of our country. They retired because of injuries in the execution of tasks. Although the state has given them subsidies in these years, they are not very happy.
nIf you can cure their injuries, you can help them as well as our country. It’s absolutely a good thing.”
n“It’s nothing, Sir Nalan,” Qin Haodong said, “They sweated and bled for our country. I should help them.
nSo call them here tomorrow and I can give them free treatment whether they want to join my security company or not.”
n“Dr. Qin, on behalf of all the soldiers, thank you!”
nNalan Jie stood up and saluted Qin Haodong with standard military etiquette.
nAfter dinner, Qin Haodong sat in Nalan Wushuang’s Maserati again before setting off to the city.
n“Thank you for thinking of such a good idea for me!” Qin Haodong said.
n“Just one ‘thank you’? You have to show more sincerity to truly thank me.” Nalan Wushuang said.
n“What kind of sincerity do you want?Offer myself to you?”
nQin Haodong said, looking at her soft, powdered cheek.
n“You wish! It would be more like retaliation than repaying me.” Nalan made a joke and said, “Well, I have a competition tonight. Lend me your Lamborghini.”
n“What competition?” Qin Haodong asked.
n“Racing of course.” Nalan said, “I’m the ace in the field of underground racing in Jiangnan. I’ve never met any rivals in recent years.
nBut yesterday a guy said he wanted to challenge me and I heard that he just came back from abroad. In this case, I have to fight. Lend me your car, just in case.”
n“Why use my car? Isn’t your car good too?”
n“Can that be the same?” “My car is only 4 million yuan, ten times cheaper than yours. Competition between masters sometimes is only a second gap. It would be safer to use your car. You won’t be so stingy, will you?”
n“Oh!” Qin Haodong said, “A car is merely a tool. Why can’t it be spared? You can use it to win glory for our Jiangnan region.”
n“Not only the car, but also you. You must go with me.”
n“What do I have to do?” Qin Haodong asked in surprise.
n“Men prefer to race with a beautiful woman sitting next to them. Well, so do I. Although you’re not good-looking enough, you’ll have to do.”
n“Hey, you can’t talk like that. I rely on my face to make money.” Qin Haodong said, laughing outloud. “Well, I will accompany you for free in the evening.”
n“Accompany me? I don’t like hearing that. A bunch of men would vie to be with me and I don’t give a damn.”
nAs they were talking, Qin Haodong’s phone rang. It was Lin Momo.
n“Haodong, why did you go out of the hospital?” Lin Momo asked.
n“My wound has been healed. Why do I still stay there? Hurry up and get the discharge formalities done.”
nLin Momo knew Qin Haodong’s medical skills, so she no longer entangled with this topic. “I have something to deal with here, you go to pick up Tang Tang!”
n“Well, I’ll go.”
nQin Haodong had no objection to it. There were successive attacks on Lin Momo. Maybe it would involve the little fellow, but he would not rest assured if he let others pick her up.
nAfter hanging up, he turned to Nalan Wushuang, “Come on, follow me to the kindergarten to pick up the children.”
n“How old are you and how do you think of being a godfather?” Nalan Wushuang asked.
nThese two days she secretly inquired about the relationship between Qin Haodong and Lin Momo. They did not really know each other very long, and the girl was Qin Haodong’s nominal daughter, so she relaxed a lot.
nQin Haodong laughed and said, “It’s so good to be a godfather. I became a father directly without spendng any money on marriage.”
n“You joke too much!”
nNalan Wushuang glared at Qin Haodong in a charming way.
n“By the way, I need your help for one thing. I have two Tibetan mastiffs in my house. Can you get a dog certificate for me when you have time? It would be convenient to take them out.”
nQin Haodong knew large dogs like Tibetan mastiffs were very difficult to get a dog certificate in the urban area, so he asked Nalan Wushuang for help.
n“That’s easy. Give me the pictures of the dogs later.”
nNalan Wushuang agreed wholeheartedly.
nWhile talking, they arrived at Gold Branch and Jade Leaf kindergarten. She got off with Qin Haodong and walked to the kindergarten to pick up the little fellow.
n“Papa! I missed you so much!”
nThe little fellow jumped out of the classroom and saw Nalan Wushuang standing next to Qin Haodong.
nShe ignored Qin Haodong, but opened two fleshy hands and cried to Nanglan Wushuang, “Auntie, hug!”
n“What a lovely baby!”
nNalan Wushuang was overjoyed to see the doll-like Tang Tang that she immediately reached out and hugged her.
nQin Haodong’s face blushed in embarrassed, he didn’t expect the little fellow would betray him when she saw Nalan Wushuang for the first time. The daughter was raised for nothing.
n“Auntie, how beautiful you are!” As she spoke, she twisted naughtily in Nalan Wushuang’s arms and touched her here and there, which made Nalan Wushuang somewhat uneasy.
nSoon, the little fellow ran to Qin Haodong’s bosom and whispered in his ear, “Papa, the auntie has milky skin, slim waist, her bra has no sponge and wire. Her boob is genuine, bigger than Mama’s…”
nBecause of the noise in the kindergarten, Nalan Wushuang did not hear what the kid said, but Qin Haodong was surprised that her daughter worked undercover for him.
nExcited, he gave the little fellow a fierce kiss on the cheek. The kid was so sensible.
n“Papa, this auntie is very good, I like her. Can she be my second mother?”
n“Uh…”
nQin Haodong didn’t expect the little fellow would come up with such a creative idea that he was too happy to speak for a while.
nWhen the little fellow saw that his Papa was silent, she turned to Nalan Wushuang and said, “Auntie, can I call you Second Mama?”
nNalan, with blushing cheeks, looked at Qin Haodong angrily. “Did you teach her that? Aren’t you afraid of corrupting her?”
nBut she was happy in heart, it seemed that the kid really liked her.
nQin Haodong crossed her arms. “I didn’t teach her this!”
n“Nobody will believe you!” Nalan Wushuang rolled her eyes charmingly.
n“Second Mama, it wasn’t Papa who taught me this,” the little fellow said, grinning wide.
n“See? I am wronged,” Qin Haodong said to the little fellow, “Tang Tang, who taught you that?”
n“No one taught me. Wang Xiaoming in our class has six mothers. I think my Papa is more capable than his. So I should have 12 mothers!”
nNalan Wushuang understood that the parents of children in aristocratic kindergartens were rich people. Unsurprisingly these children even compared those kind of things.
n“Tang Tang, it’s improper to think so!” Qin Haodong said.
nJust when Nalan Wushuang thought Qin Haodong educated the little fellow, he went on to say, “We are modest people. How can we double the number of other people? Papa will find you seven mothers, just one more than his!”
n“Er…”
nNalan Wushuang almost choked to death. How could he educate his child like this?
nThe little fellow thought about it and nodded solemnly. “OK,” she said, “a week has seven days, one mother a day!”
nLooking at the kid’s serious expression, Qin Haodong laughed. His daughter was truly wonderful!
n“Why laugh? A mother a day, can you deal with that?”
nNalan Wushuang glared at Qin Haodong angrily.
n“Second Mama, what does it have to do with Papa? A mother accompanies me to play for a day. Papa won’t be busy!”
n“Er…”
nNalan Wushuang’s cheeks suddenly reddened to her ears, and she admittedly misinterpreted the kid’s meaning.
nQin Haodong laughed again and asked Nalan Wushuang, “What do you think it is?”
nNalan, even more shy, hurried to the parking lot. Qin Haodong followed her with the little fellow in his arms.
nAfter getting in the car, the little fellow sang incessantly in Qin Haodong’s arms.
n“Tang Tang, what song are you singing?”
nQin Haodong asked.
n“Don’t you know that?” Nalan Wushuang said as she drove along. “This is Ouyang Shanshan’s latest new song, ‘Flowers under the Moon.’”
n“Oh!” Qin Haodong responded. “Who is Ouyang Shanshan?”
n“God, you don’t even know Ouyang Shanshan? I doubt you’re from the moon!”
nNalan Wushuang looked at Qin Haodong strangely, then said to the little fellow, “Did you tell your Papa who Ouyang Shanshan is?”
n“She’s a super star. Many children in our class like her. I like her too. She is my idol!”
n“You see, Ouyang Shanshan is an idol of the whole country,” Nalan Wushuang said, “a world famous star, and you don’t even know what Tang Tang knows.”
nQin Haodong did not know Ouyang Shanshan. His work and school studies consumed him. But he also read books in his spare time. Yet he knew nothing about the entertainment circle.
