Chapter 99 - Set Out

nOne month later.
n“Shocking Wind Slash!”
nAudrey’s sword pierced through the bear’s throat, and with a leap, she reached out to pluck the Moon Spirit Flower.
nThis was the last mission for the Dragon Slaying Squad this month. As long as they successfully sent the Moon Spirit Flower back to the Mercenary Association, they would be able to obtain a pass to the Frigid Lands.
nKate panted as he got up from the ground. He looked at the black bear that had fallen to the ground with lingering fear. “This bear’s combat strength is really too high. Fortunately, Audrey reacted quickly. Otherwise, I would have died long ago.”
nThe black bear had already seen them coming to pick the Moon Spirit Flower, but it had waited until they were about to attack before launching a sneak attack from behind.
nKate stood at the back. Once the black bear’s claws came down, there was no way Kate could dodge them.
nAt the critical moment, Audrey pulled out cold frost from her spine. She turned around and flew up, directly blinding the black bear’s eyes.
nHera poked the petals of the Moon Spirit Flower. “Then, should we go back now? I can’t wait to see the pass to the Frigid Lands.”
nAs a missy, she gritted her teeth and stayed in the forest with the other three for an entire month in order to earn points for the pass.
nNow, she was finally free.
nHera was almost in tears.
nHowever, they had improved a lot these days.
nKate had accumulated combat experience and had reached level-14.
nHera’s level was not low, to begin with. She had directly reached level-13.
nEven Jill had reached level-11.
nOf course, the one who had improved the fastest was still Audrey. She had reached a bottleneck after advancing from level-20.
nAudrey seemed to have ignored the word bottleneck. She had leveled up three times in a month, which made the other three envious.
n“Since we’ve already prepared for more than a month to go to the Frigid Lands, we’ll set off immediately after we hand over the Moon Spirit Flower,” said Kate. “Do you have anything else to do?”
n“No…”
n“Roar –”
nThe black bear, which was already dead, suddenly burst forth. After tearing apart a large tree, it charged directly in front of Audrey.
n“Roar –”
nThe black bear opened its bloody mouth and roared angrily. It remembered this human. It had suffered so much pain because of this human!
n“Audrey, be careful!”
nHera swung her whip. Beside her, Jill immediately prepared her battle technique. “Order of the grass and trees!”
nThe rapidly growing vines directly dragged the black bear’s feet. Hera flew up into the wind, the whip whipping her body and bending it to an unbelievable angle.
nKate and Audrey looked at each other and nodded.
nThe next second, the two of them charged forward. Kate’s left side directly shoveled the ground. Audrey chanted a magic spell and leaped up with Cold Frost, stabbing the black bear’s heart with her sword.
n“Audrey!”
nDue to the pain, the black bear’s huge claws had already fallen from the sky.
nAudrey was shocked and hurriedly reached out to pull out her sword.
nOh no!
nThe black bear’s skin was too thick. It was impossible to pull out the sword.
nSeeing that the sharp bear paw had already reached Audrey’s back, Kate gritted his teeth, got up from the ground, and rushed forward —
nHe had originally closed his eyes and waited for his death, but nothing happened.
nAudrey finally finished reciting a long series of magic incantations, and the black bear’s life force had reached its end.
nShe immediately gave up her longsword and leaped away from the black bear’s chest. Like a small cannonball, she rushed forward and used her physical body to fight the black bear!
n“Snow goddess, I believe in your divine power. Please bless me!”
nA vigorous power erupted from Audrey’s body.
nUnder everyone’s dumbfounded gazes, she pulled herself away and shattered the black bear’s bones.
nRoar —
nThe black bear no longer had the strength to resist. It could only slam heavily onto the ground.
n“Damn — Audrey, aren’t you too powerful!?”
nHera quickly ran in front of Audrey and hugged her.
nShe heard Hera say happily, “After we have Audrey, it’s like we have the god of war!”
nKate forced a smile.
nAlthough she knew that Audrey had grown to a height that others could not reach, Kate looked at Audrey as if she was still the little girl who used to run behind her.
nAfter they picked the Moon Spirit Flower and returned, they exchanged for the pass to the Frigid Lands under the shocked and surprised gazes of the Mercenary Association’s staff.
nThe place was separated by a signboard.
nWhen Audrey and the others were about to arrive, they had already drunk the blue potion. Although the storm was so strong that even their vision was blurred, they did not feel the cold.
nJill wanted to take off her cotton coat, however, she was stopped by Audrey. “The principle of the blue potion is to speed up the flow of blood and raise the surface temperature of your body, giving you the illusion that you’re already warm. Under such a storm, we only need to ensure that our coats don’t fall off.”
nAudrey had cast a protective spell on everyone’s jacket, protecting their lives from the wind and snow.
nOnce they took off their jackets, the wind and snow would immediately invade their bodies, freezing their blood before they could even feel it.
nThe crystal-clear white snow was blowing heavily. The storm that belonged to the king was engulfing the entire world. Audrey and the others could not even take a few steps forward. They could only wait and watch the storm wreak havoc between heaven and earth.
n
