Chapter 119 - I Don't Trust You

nHeron was horrified by the sudden influx of punches coming from all around.

nThis guy had just broken through and he didn’t even take a moment to stabilise his realm and started going all out.

nHeron was thrown here and there by Alex and just as he was slightly distracted, he received a strong hit. His face received a heavy blow and he flew upwards and was surprised to find Alex hovering in the air while looking down at him with a large grin on his face waiting for him.

nHeron swung his arms and legs trying to change direction but was unable to do anything. His chest was hit hard by a heavy blow and he crashed down on the ground with a loud bang.

nHe felt a sharp outburst of pain in his back and his chest seemed to have gotten a dent making him unable to breathe for a moment. Heron remembered the combo was similar to the one used on Alex but he hadn’t thought that he would be attacked in some way.

nAlso, Alex’s speed advantage was becoming more obvious and Alex was toying with him.

nHis scythe had already been blown away by play and as he got up, he staggered in his steps and as he tried to stabilise himself, he felt a gentle tap on his shoulder.

n“Ahhhhhhh!” Heron screamed in horror and flinched back seeing Alex’s face quite close to him.

n“Let me give you a tour,” Alex muttered and holding his shoulder, he jumped in the air and threw him towards the night sky.

n“Argggghhhh!”

nThe piercing cry echoed in the sky as Heron’s body was thrown up like a ball up to the sky and making a projectile motion his body descended to the ground.

nAlex raised his hand making a beckoning sign and the mana churned around his hand and his great sword which was lying somewhere hovered in the mid-air and shot towards his hand.

nWith master rank, he can use spirit magic with which he can control the mana faintly which only a high-level mage could do.

nThe sword flew towards and landed in his hand.

nAlex held the hilt of the sword and raised his greatsword vertically and pointed toward Heron.

n“Farewell!!Heron.” Alex muttered while taking a stride forward.

nThe ground cracked and a large deep footprint appeared on it and Alex’s body which was present there suddenly disappeared like a shadow making the air around him stirred sending faint gales radially.

nAlex’s body moved like a bolt of lightning and Heron who was falling to the ground felt a strong pressure descending upon him and before he could know what was going on, a shadow passed by him with a speed which was invisible to his naked eye.

nHe just felt a gust of wind brush past his cheek, swaying the air and making his screams ring louder.

nWith a loud thud, his body fell to the ground, the loud thud was accompanied by a faint cracking sound.

nThe screams erupting suddenly ceased and he lay motionless on the ground with his eyes wide open.

nAfter a brief pause, his body separated into two pieces.

nThe man’s bright red internal organs, his limbs covering his white bones burst out and fell apart and a fountain of blood gushed from his body which fell on the ground like drizzle.

nThe blood in the air that contained the leftover flame’s energy of the man turned into a cloud of the bloodstream and more blood spilt onto the ground and started to melt it, dyeing the entire place in red and giving a horrible stench.

nTANG!

nAlex put the great sword on the ground and breathed the air of relief.

nHost, have you gone insane? Why did you need to force a breakthrough when you take it slow. You will eventually get all your powers so why did you do something foolish.

nAlex heard the system rant for a moment and said”It’s because I don’t believe in you.”

nHuh!!! What

nFor a moment the system had become speechless on hearing Alex’s words and asked what he meant?

n“I didn’t mean that I doubt your words, rather I doubt fate.”

n“In the goddess sanctum, I had trained and achieved unfathomable strength but then it can’t be transferred to my body directly, so the Goddess used their divinity to create you as a medium and stored my energy into you and transferred it to me right?”

nHost, you are right about that but so what?

n“Moreover, although the Goddess are almighty and all-powerful, they aren’t omnipotent and perfect nor they can be said to be the strongest existence”

n“The will of the world still reigns supreme.”

n“And there are also many Gods and Goddesses except them.”

n“Although the five that trained me are the primary goddess and strongest out of the bunch, still Gods are Gods if a mini go is not some small powerhouse.”

n“If I encounter an embodiment of another God in future and by chance, that God had the power to see through the system and might be able to block you from giving me the power in from of stats or may even be able to snatch away the divinity, then?” Alex spoke with a solemn expression as he looked at the system screen.

nHost, your worry is unnecessary. No other god can see through the system you have. Moreover, snatching the divinity. You make it sound as if this is a child’s play.

nBelive me, Host, no one is going to still away anything from him.

nAlex took a deep sigh and looked at the system with a grim expression.

n“System do you know how exactly you sound right now?”

n“You are sounding like a scammer.

nHost, what do you mean by that?

n” Nothing, I am only taking precaution for the future. For who knows one day the will of the world will manifest before me and start accusing me for breaking the law.”Alex spoke with an amusing expression.

n“Okay, now let’s leave this topic for now.We have to finish the jobs on the other side.”

n
