"What is it?

" Jennifer asked, without even glancing in Hannah's direction.

nHowever, Hannah was already filled with rage. Her eyes had narrowed slightly before she brought her hand in front of Jennifer, to make her look at the article that was published by the news channels and the websites.

"At least see it yourself..'' was all she muttered in a low voice.

nSubconsciously, Jennifer didn't move her head. All that **ted were her eyes, to look above herself, and gazed at the screen.

nThe glass of juice which Jennifer held, slashed all over on the ground with a loud bang. Not even that, Jennifer halted in the middle of her actions, after she read the news.

"T-this..it isn't possible..

"But this source is really liable. I don't think that it is wrong either. After all, we all know about Lucas's standards and activities..

" Hannah spoke, with the same worried expressions.

nWhere her parents were entirely confused. They passed each other the look, in the dislike of what could have taken place at his time. The one who was most doubtful was Amelia.

nHer guard was automatically raised. She took her phone into her hand and after unlocking it, she searched the sites, coming into the sight of the same breaking news, which added to her current distress.

"L-Lucas..is going to become a father?

" Amelia uttered, with disbelief written on her face.

nShe appeared to be more than shocked. It made no sense in her eyes, to the extent that her body was trembling badly.

nIn fact, David, who heard the words of his wife, was stumbling.

"H-How..is this..possible?!

" Both of them passed each other a complicated look. Afterward, they shifted their attention, to stare at Jennifer, who would not be able to come out of the news which had been delivered to her.

nYet the difference lay that, they considered her to be shocked due to her hurt feelings which surfaced. However, the truth was not the same.

nShe was not only shocked but somewhere, excited. On the other way, Jennifer had no other choices to give. She was all numb, having no reaction at all.

" Amelia muttered her name, but it was of no use. Meanwhile, Hannah touches Jennifer's shoulders lightly, to make her come out of the daze in which had gone.

"J-Jennifer...please...

"Umm..what?

" Jennifer asked, with the look that had taken over on her face, of not understanding their feelings.

"What happened? So what Lucas has the heir?

"He is going to have a child. He has made someone pregnant..while being engaged to you.

" Hannah told her, to which there was not much impact on her.

"So what? I wasn't here for the past few weeks either. He must have done some things with others.

"But this is the famous actress, Seren.

" it was David who concluded this to her face.

"So what, dad?

" Jennifer enquired, not letting any expression come on her face. If she was numb, so was she.

nNeither does it make any other sense on her face, to what she found any reason to react.

"It is his life. But I surely need some answers.

nRotating her head in Hannah's direction, she passed her a look,, to blink her eyes twice and then speak,

"We both need to go to the Smith mansion right now. Let us go and see him first.

nWith this commitment of leaving the house, both the ladies went upwards. They changed and got fresh, too soon leaving the house in the hope to get the answer.

nHowever, back in the house, David and Amelia's brains got disputed. They were exhausted mentally, with the turn of events that took place.

nDavid plumped on the couch, with no more energy left to converse and find any other reason in this.

"Lucas..Lucas..Lucas..this man, is a headache!

"He..literally got pregnant. Gosh… can't even think of giving my daughter that bastard…

" Amelia thought while sitting beside her husband.

nThey both were caught in the most difficult position to consider. One side was their truth, which they have been hiding for decades, and on the other hand is the only one... their daughter's life, whom they have raised so well.

nWas it easy to give your daughter to someone whom you gave life to..to someone else? No, it wasn't. Even, they had to keep a hard stone over their hearts to not let them be overlooked by the emotions of not marrying Jennifer into the Smith household.

"But the treasures given by him, can't be unseen either. It was Lucas, who came to us to have her hand and he had brought her back to the Smith states. I don't think any reason for us to deny that..even though he is going to have a child with one else.

" David told Amelia honestly, trying to find different excuses for the situation.

nCanceling marriage isn't in their hands. The only way they can cope with it is to let their heart consult with the circumstances.

nAmelia turned her face in the right direction, to stare at David with a wicked eye.

"If it is your daughter, will you give her hand to someone, a man like Luas?

" David took a long pause, with his eyes turned downwards, to let himself mumble,

"....Unfortunately, Jennifer...isn't ours anyway.

nThe news was surrounded like a fireball.

nWhile some people sympathized with the Seren, some were cursing Lucas badly. However, there was no denying that, it got many people to learn the real side of Lucas.

nHe was a criminal, so some had expected something like this.

nHowever, for Jennifer, who had never ever thought of such a situation, she was still not reacting. Sitting inside the taxi, on the two other hands, Hannah looked at her friend, who had been keeping mum throughout.

"Jennifer...we are going to reach Lucas's house.

"I know. Don't worry, let's see what the environment is out there.

" Jennifer is keen to learn about grandfather Smiths' reaction better than anyone else.

nThey reached the house in the next twenty minutes.

nIt was still away until the taxi driver dropped them at the gate. They were easily let inside of the house, where they came across the sight of a lady, who had a belly and was yelling like a mad lady..
