“Y-you…” The samurai-like young man said when he saw Oz’s face.

(Shit… It’s the samurai from before… what a pain…)(Oz)

But different from Oz’s expectation, the samurai-like calmed down and ordered food. The chestnut-haired waitress seems to be not afraid with him, different from the other people inside the tavern.

“Hm… she didn’t afraid of you, huh,” Said Oz, impressed.

“…..” The samurai-like young man answered with silence.

When Oz’s food came, Oz’s stomach had already growled fiercely because of the delicious smell, the meal is something like a roasted boar, it’s huge and looks delicious.

Oz devours the boar with high speed, there are only bones left from his meal in just 5 minutes. The travel makes Oz’s felt hungrier than before. The samurai-like young man just stared at Oz’s glutton silently and eat his food calmly.

“Another glass of milk, please!” Oz ordered another glass of milk.

“Yes!!!” (Waitress)

“I’m Sen, Sen Yasuhiro,” The young man suddenly said his name.

Oz stared at him for a while and answered: “Ren, Ren Arken,” With the same indifferent tone.

Another silence enveloped them after the short introductions for a while. Until Sen finally broke the silence.

“Why don’t you kill them?” Asked Sen.

“Hm?” (Oz)

“Why don’t you kill them? You should be able to slaughter all of my underlings,” Sen asked again.

Oz observed Sen’s face before he answered: “There is no need to make a meaningless kill,”

“But it could be considered as a robbery attempt,” (Sen)

“I don’t really care about it, I just do that on a whim, or you could say that I saw them not as people who must be killed,” Oz answered indifferently.

“Hm… fine then,” Answered Sen.

Another silence enveloped them, Oz slowly drinks his milk, while Sen is still eating his meal slowly.

“I-it’s Edreale!!” People shouted and crowds gathered when a violet-haired girl that resembles an elf, but with a shorter pointed ear, entered the tavern. She holds a thing that resembles a Guitar and sings.

(A bard?)

“A griffin flies into the moonlight~

A place, former a heaven~

He knows the prophecy will arrive~

Castles will return to the ground~

The wicked and Vicious had come to deny~

Wreaking havoc in the world~

The seal from sacrifice had lost it light~

The new group of light will arrive~

Mystery and magic had already grasped~

The darkness will be enveloped by darkness~

And the unknown will gather the lights~

Justice will prevail~”

Her voice is clear and smooth, people will feel soothe at their heart just by hearing her voice singing. The song’s meaning is quite deep, but Oz couldn’t interpret it clearly as he doesn’t have enough information.

“Lights?” Oz muttered softly.

(Does it refers to the heroes?) (Oz)

“What, you’re interested in becoming a hero, too?” Sen suddenly asked him without looking at his direction.

“Become a hero? How?” Asked Oz, confused.

“Y-you didn’t know? Which world did you live in?” Mocked Sen.

“Even though I looked like this, I could be considered as a country bumpkin, you know?” (Oz)

“Seriously? Well, whatever…” (Sen)

“It’s about the prophecy from the church, it’s said that the heroes will come in figures of young people, and they’ll repel the demons that will invade the world once more,” Explained Sen.

“And to become heroes, you need to show your strength at the year right 2000 years after the demons got sealed,” (Sen)

“And that is?” (Oz)

“It’s this year, what, you’re interested?” Sen indifferently said, he looked like he doesn’t even care about who he heroes are.

“Is that so? Nope, not at all,” Answered Oz, and he drank all of his milk, and empty the glass.

“Thanks for the information,” Oz stands and paid his meal bills, and left the tavern. Sen didn’t mind Oz leaving and continue eating his meal calmly.

Oz walks back to the inn that the coachman’s uncle recommended him, to rent a room for the night.

“How long will you stay here?” Asked the inn staff.

“One night,” (Oz)

“Would you like a meal and a bath, too?” (Inn Staff)

“Yes, please,” (Oz)

“3 pieces of big copper coin, then” (Inn staff)

Oz put the big copper coins at the counter.

“Thanks, your room is at the top floor number 16,” (Inn Staff)

Oz went upstairs and found that his room is at the corner of the third floor, and Oz entered the room.

(Well, not a bad place to sleep) (Oz)

The room is 3

/4 of his room at the orphanage, but the bed looks comfortable enough for him to sleep so the room size doesn’t really bother him. Oz lies his body at the bed with a groan.

“Damn, riding a wagon made my body stiff,” Oz complained.

Poof!

Reo and Fenrir appeared with their mini form.

“You should just lie your body at the next trip, master. The wagon is pretty large, after all,” Said Fenrir.

“I’ll try your advice later, Fenrir,” Answered Oz as he took a sleeping posture.

“I think I’ll let myself have a full rest, today,” Oz muttered. Reo and Fenrir also took their sleeping position and uses Oz’s body as their pillow and Oz’s shirt as their blanket.

But after a mere 10 minutes of silence and peace, three of them suddenly got tense. Fenrir and Reo’s fur stand straight, a lot of presences that shouldn’t be here suddenly popped out.

“This presence…” Oz muttered as he focuses his qi.

“You’re familiar with the presences too, master?” Asked Reo.

“Yes, they had the same presence as my people…” Oz said with a serious face.

“Reo and I also recognize these presences because we’ve lived at the magical forest of Everdeen too, but what does master mean by your people? Aren’t you a human?” Asked Fenrir.

“They are my people, my subjects,” Oz said and suddenly stands from the bed.

“What!?” (Fenrir)

“You didn’t know? You’ve seen my memories, right?” Asked Oz.

“Just like you, master, you only saw our memories when we battle with the demon emperor, right? What we see is only a piece of your memories when you’re in your former world too,” Explained Reo.

“No wonder you didn’t know, well, let’s set that things aside, I got a feeling that they’re in a trouble,” Said Oz as he equipped his jet-black gears and the ataraxia staff.

“Let’s go,” Said Oz as he opened the window and jumped out.

“Fenrir, let’s follow suit,” said Reo.

“Yes, I never saw master in such a rush before, let’s try our best to help him, Reo!” Said Fenrir as both of them jumped out of the room’s window to follow Oz.

A figure of a man together with a black cat and a white puppy jumped from roof to roof in the middle of the night. Oz suddenly stopped at the corner of the city.

“This place…”

It’s a suspicious alley that visited by both nobles and mercenaries. Oz jumped down from the roof and blend in with the people, Reo and Fenrir walked slowly following him at his sides.

“This… Is this a black market?” Wondered Oz.

There are a lot of merchants that sell rare items and products that Oz didn’t see at the day. Oz keeps on walking and tracks the familiar presence he felt until he arrives at the corner of the black market, nobles and rich-looking people are gathering there, looking at the stage.

Oz saw that there were a lot of cages inside a huge tent behind the stage. Oz uses ‘Stealth Soul’ to cover his presence and sneak inside the tent. But when he entered.

!!!

(C-calm down, master!) (Fenrir)

Oz almost leaks his terrifying murderous intent unconsciously because of the scene that he saw inside of the tent. There is a countless magical beast that being imprisoned inside the cages, but it’s not the thing that made Oz almost got berserk from anger.

Elves, Centaurs, and some goblins that Oz ever saw at Tarot are also imprisoned inside of the cage. There are 6 elves, 4 centaurs, and 9 goblins that are imprisoned inside a huge cage.

There are 9 Master Swordsman guarding the tent, Oz prepared his magic cards and is about to throw all of them to the guards, but before he could throw them, four figures wearing a black cloak entered the tent and massacred them first.

They act quickly and kill all of the guards swiftly; the guards don’t even have a spare to groan. The battle finishes in a moment, but a strange thing happens. Four of them entered and kills the guards together, but it looks like the first pair caped figures didn’t recognize who the other two caped figures are.

The first pair looked like a pack of assassins, one of them is using a Katana-like sword, while the other one only uses knives.

Oz grinned when he looked at the other pair of caped figures. One of them is using an expensive-looking bow, while the other one is using a great sword.

“What the hell are both of you doing here? Geeta, Azaline,” Said Oz with a smirk as he dispels his stealth qi technique.

“”Wha- Ren!?”” Said both of them in surprise.

“Why don’t we calm down a second, as we have the same goal. I understand why the purple-haired bard girl came here, but I didn’t seem to understand your motive, Sen,” Said Oz with his sharp eyes looking at the other caped figure.

The pair opened their hood and showed their faces. The face of the samurai Sen and the purple-haired bard half-elf girl showed.

“I’m saving my fellow race, that is all, you’re the strange one here, Ren,” Said Sen with his usual cold voice.

“Eh? Your fellow race?” Oz leaked out a confused voice.

“Brother, is that your friend? I saw both of you sitting together at the tavern too,” Said the purple-haired girl.

“B-brother!? (Oz)

“He’s not my friend, Edraele. We just happened to sit next to each other there,” Answered Sen coldly.

“Both of you are siblings!?” Asked Oz.

“Not two, but three,” Said Sen.

(Hm?)

*Sound of swords collided*

A blue-haired figure that has a similar face feature with Sen appeared from above Oz. When he’s about to strike Oz with his knife, Geeta immediately blocked his strike with her greatsword with a quick speed, while Azaline aimed her bow at him, ready to shoot anytime.

“Three half-elf siblings, huh. Interesting…” (Oz)
