Chapter 541: Reborn

nRoar!
nThe dragon roar echoed inside the cabin as the azure dragon circled once above Zhuo Fan’s head before shooting for the patients.
nIt followed Zhuo Fan’s arm and entered Yue’er.
nYue’er shone azure and burst with vitality, soothing her broken body and under the shocked eyes of the audience, the flesh mended.
nIn an instant she was as good as new. The shock on Kui Lang and Yue Ling was understandable.
nThey wrote Zhuo Fan off as a god on this earth.
nThat’s why those 6th layer of Radiant Stage experts are so willing to serve him!
nZhuo Fan is a god capable of reviving the dead!
nIgnoring the flabbergasted looks he always got, Zhuo Fan finished with Yue’er and directed the dragon soul towards Kui Gang.
nFollowing the same process, the kid was back in prime shape in no time. Kui Gang was filled with lashes from his veins bursting, yet now he didn’t even have a scar on him.
nZhuo Fan had the dragon soul return back to his body, leaving behind two bodies like newborn babes, with smooth and perfect skin.
nKui Lang and Yue Ling gulped at the children’s peaceful sleepy faces. They had endless admiration for Zhuo Fan.
nBut now that they’re healed, why weren’t they waking up?
nThen, Yue’er slowly opened her eyes and Yue Ling cheered, “Yue’er, you’re alright!”
n“Sister, I…” Yue’er was filled with doubt, “Why am I…”
nYue’er moved but then found something wrong with her hand. Someone was holding it.
nShe saw Zhuo Fan’s lewd look and creepy smile.
nUh, that was what she saw at least.
n“Ah! What are you doing, sicko?” Yue’er pulled her hand away and slapped him.
nPa!
nA sharp sound accompanied the stinging on Zhuo Fan’s cheek and his mood sank.
nFor crying out loud, what have I been doing? I saved this girl’s life and this is how you repay me?
nYue Ling was scared witless, “S-Steward Zhuo, please calm down. She is still out of it, please don’t mind it.”
nYue Ling berated her sister, “Damn girl, Steward Zhuo just saved your life and yet you’ve hit him? Apologize!”
nYue’er looked puzzled from her sister to the glum Zhuo Fan, her brain turned to mush.
nWhat’s going on? Why is sister who has always hated Zhuo Fan sticking up for him? And she’s even fawning over him!
nShe knew her sister to be tough and hardheaded, not lowering her head in front of some wastrel…
nYue’er was vexed over her sister’s attitude and made Yue Ling stomp her foot.
nIs this girl blind? Can’t she see the hints I’m giving? He was holding your hand to save you but now he can also end you.
nAnd there’s no way I can save you from that!
nSeeing Zhuo Fan’s throbbing cheek and heavy look, Yue Ling became jumpy…
n“What’s all this ruckus?” Kui Gang woke up groggy only to see his father move and he felt his hand in Zhuo Fan’s hand.
nWhat’s this punk doing here? Didn’t father hate him?
nKui Lang feared that he’d copy Yue’er and rushed over to push him back down, “Damn brat, Uncle Zhuo here just saved your life so hurry up and kowtow!”
nEveryone’s faces twitched as they were lost for words.
nWhen Kui Gang had been seeing Zhuo Fan as a senior uncle, Kui Lang only had mockery and derision. But how time flies, now sucking up to the guy in any way possible.
nSo even this tough guy has an immoral side.
nThat was how a puzzled Kui Gang found himself sitting on the bed and his dad pushing his head down again and again, so hard it could snap his waist.
nThough one thing was certain, for his dad’s attitude to do a one-eighty flip, he knew something was going on and as he was a good boy, he cupped his hands in gratitude, “Thank you uncle, for saving me.”
n“Mmm-hmm, that’s more like it.” Zhuo Fan glared at Yue’er who simply turned her head away.
nYue Ling sighed.
nYue’er was stubborn as a mule and that wouldn’t change until someone explained it to her.
nYue Ling shook her head as she told the kids, circumstances of their situation.
nA truly cruel irony how the ever helpful Hu Mei’er turned out to be the viper plotting in the dark, while the ever loathed Zhuo Fan saved their lives in their final hour.
nAt long last, the two kid’s eyes shone with gratitude.
nYue’er even felt guilty seeing his red cheek.
n“F-forgive me…” Yue’er mumbled, still playing tough. Yue Ling sighed.
nGirl, you call that sincere?
nShe knew though that those three words were already Yue’er’s limit. No matter how much she knew herself to be wrong, she’d never admit it.
nThe fact that she spoke those words was remorseful enough. Well, he did save their asses, yet what did he get in return? A slap. Anyone would be sour about it, to say nothing of Zhuo Fan.
nZhuo Fan mocked, “Ha-ha-ha, I wouldn’t have accepted Miss Yue’er apology, not with her stubborn streak. But for saving miss Yue’er, I had to encroach on her dignity, feeling her soft skin. A slap is what I deserve. Now we are even, or perhaps miss will still hold a grudge.
n“A lady’s hand is invaluable.” Zhuo Fan finished with a snicker.
nYue’er’s guilt ramped up, her heart was a mess, her eyes red.
nYue Ling worked so hard to make peace with this godlike being only to fall out again. At least Yue’er was out of the woods and could just return to the peaceful days as an outer disciple. Not if Zhuo Fan could help it.
nZhuo Fan snickered and threw Kui Lang a vial.
nHe then said, “Open it and see what it is.”
nKui Lang did so and his eyes bugged out. Everyone else gasped, so shocked their hearts were about to jump out of their chest cavity.
n“10th grade pill?!”
nThey all exclaimed at the thick spiritual energy coming from it.
nGrinning, Zhuo Fan said, “The Heaven Reaching Pill to be precise. The wounds on these kids were so heavy that their meridians were shot as well. While I did heal them and their cultivation has been saved, advancing in this state is another matter. But with the Heaven Reaching Pill, your son will toughen his meridians, reaching higher than before. Even the Ethereal Stage isn’t a problem.”
n“I-it’s that good?” Kui Lang was touched to the core, words failing to describe how thankful he was.
nThen he pulled Kui Gang from the bed and both kowtowed as Kui Lang taught his son, “Hurry up and thank uncle Zhuo. He just gave you your entire future!”
n“Thank you Uncle Zhuo, thank you…” Kui Gang knew this was beyond kindness, bowing again and again.
nHe was truly fortunate. Without popping his veins, there would be no Zhuo Fan to save him, and no 10th grade pill to lift his prospects.
nIt was godsent. Who in the entire sect could consume a 10th grade pill?
nWhile Yue Ling looked bitter and crushed.
nSteward Zhuo didn’t cure them completely?
nThat slap must be eating you inside right about now, baby sister.
nZhuo Fan gave Yue Ling’s sorrowful look a smug grin.
nThat’s what you get for being an ungrateful lass…
n
