n“Claire!” Ada chased her out of the room, holding onto Claire and still trying to explain.

n

nAt this time, Phoebe suddenly appeared in front of them.

n

nWith a sweet smile on her face, she seemingly unintentionally pushed Claire away. She hugged Ada’s waist, and said in a sweet voice, “Mom… I’d like caviar for dinner!”

n

nSeeing Phoebe, Ada felt her heart melt. She gently tapped her on the tip of her nose and said with a smile, “Why do you want caviar again?”

n

n“I love caviar. I want to eat lots and lots of caviar!”

n

n“OK, OK…”

n

nPhoebe smiled and glanced at Claire provocatively.

n

nClaire turned around indifferently and walked downstairs.

n

nIn the lobby on the first floor, Sheldon was leaning on the sofa, slowly flipping through the book in his hand. His slender legs were folded, his eyes droopy and his movements were full of grace. He looked genteel.

n

nHearing the sound of footsteps, he raised his eyes slightly, but when he saw it was Claire, he instantly looked away.

n

nHe seemed to hold disdain in his eyes towards her.

n

nClaire sat down on the opposite side and fiddled with her phone again.

n

nAfter a while, she suddenly got up, walked up to Sheldon, and handed him the phone.

n

nSheldon didn’t even lift his head and his voice was contemptuous. “Sorry, I never exchange numbers with a stranger.”

n

nClaire blinked her eyes and said calmly, “WiFi password.”

n

n“?”

n

nSheldon looked up only to see the WiFi interface on the screen of Claire’s phone.

n

nEmbarrassed, he frowned and grabbed the phone in anger. He quickly entered the password, and threw the phone back.

n

n“Thank you.”

n

nClaire took the phone and went back to sit down opposite him.

n

nSheldon looked at the girl out of the corner of his eye. She was wearing the most ordinary clothes, but her face was so beautiful that no one could possibly ignore her.

n

nHer skin was fair and lustrous. Under the long eyelashes, her bright, watery eyes looked gentle and attractive.

n

nShe pursed her slightly upturned pink lips, looking casual and lazy.

n

nHe felt a sudden flutter of uneasiness.

n

nHe hated Claire. He hated her for no reason!

n

nThe phone pinged. Someone had sent her a text message.

n

nWhen will you come over?

n

nClaire typed quickly with her long, slender fingers.

n

nTomorrow.

n

nThe person replied again.

n

nOK, Waiting for you at the old place.

n

nAt dinner, the table was loaded with caviar.

n

nPhoebe was eating happily, and Ada pured water for her dotingly. Seeing Claire barely eat, Ada asked her. “Claire, why don’t you eat something? Are these dishes not to your taste?”

n

nClaire replied carelessly. “I don’t like caviar.”

n

nHearing this, everyone was stunned.

n

nPhoebe put on a look of guilt and said to Claire, “I’m sorry, but I’ve always loved caviar since I was young, and the chefs have been used to cooking according to my taste.”

n

nShe seemed to be apologizing but there was a note of ostentation in her voice.

n

nClaire raised her eyebrows and ignored her.

n

nSheldon’s face instantly darkened and he sneered. “Phoebe, what did you do wrong? Why did you apologize to her? Couldn’t she tell us in advance if she doesn’t like caviar? Are we supposed to ask her what should be served for dinner in advance?”

n

nClaire’s gaze narrowed slightly and a cold light flicked across her eyes.

n

nThe atmosphere on the table suddenly became tense.

n

nAda hurriedly said, “I should have asked you, Claire. I’ll ask the cooks to make some dishes for you.”

n

n“No need.” Claire refused indifferently.

n

nPhoebe lowered her head to eat, hiding her smug smile.

n

nEven if she is Mom’s biological daughter, so what? Facts have proved that I’ll always be the most favored in the family!

n

nAfter dinner, Phoebe took out a certificate of merit from her bag and said with a grin, “I am number one in the city again in this drawing contest.”

n

nAda took the certificate and smiled from ear to ear. “Phoebe, well done! You simply come first in every competition. There’s almost no room in the house left for your certificates of merit!”

n

nPhoebe, her baby girl, was a perfect daughter!

n

nAda was in fact a little grateful that she had taken away the wrong child.

n

nAllen also smiled and said, “I guess Phoebe is going to be placed first again in this monthly exam.”

n

nPhoebe pouted. “Dad, I’m not sure. This monthly test is a national level test and is quite difficult. The third multiple-choice question in the math exam is a bit controversial…”

n

nShe suddenly looked at Claire, who had been silent, and asked seemingly innocently. “Claire, did you choose B or C?”

n
