Chapter 50

nLuo Ying felt a shiver run down her spine as she thought of a frightening possibility.
nThat Lu Xuan might be coming to kill them right now!
nFrom what she found out, when Luo Kun sent his trusted henchman to kill Lu Xuan, the henchman was slain on the spot by Lu Xuan.
nJust a few days later, Luo Kun was also tracked down and killed by Lu Xuan in his own home.
nThere was still no evidence that proved Lu Xuan committed the murder.
nYet, Luo Ying’s instincts told her that Lu Xuan was definitely the culprit.
nThis was what it meant to be above the law!
nA powerful martial arts legend did indeed have such a privilege.
nIf she were in his shoes and possessed that kind of strength, she probably would not give a hoot about anybody else either.
nThe Luo family could be said to be very powerful, as with the help of the Taichu Group’s support, they had strong influence in many different sectors. Her fear now, however, was that the enemy was not aware of this, as a reckless aggressor without any reason was the most dangerous to them.
nIt was precisely because someone like that did not know the meaning of fear, and if they were provoked, they would chase down their enemies with murderous intent.
nLu Xuan seemed to be this kind of person who did not see reason. Although Luo Kun was not exactly the legal heir to the Luo family, he was still one of the legal sons of their house.
nFor him to be hunted down and killed at home in the middle of the night, the culprit was a real anarchist.
nNow the news that she had made contact with his parents in their house should have already made its way to him, which was what she originally intended.
nHowever, thinking about it now, she shuddered in fear.
nIf Lu Xuan really did kill Luo Kun, she was afraid that he would be planning to kill her too.
nEven though she thought it was unlikely that he would attack so soon, she still had an intense feeling of unease.
nA lunatic who could kill them at any moment was just like a ticking time bomb that could explode at any time.
n“No, we need to leave this place now!”
nLuo Ying seemed to leap to her feet as she said, “I have things to do, and I’ll be taking my leave first. If you hear any news about Lu Xuan later, pass on the information to me secretly!”
nAfter much consideration, Luo Ying finally decided to leave her men stationed here.
nAll the possibilities she had just considered were still assumptions, and in the event that she had guessed wrong, she could immediately order her subordinates to launch a counterattack.
nIf she was right, then they could stay here as a target board to lure Lu Xuan in.
nShe was extremely scared of a martial arts legend, to the extent that she had to flee immediately. However, looking at the bigger picture, for the Luo family and more so for the Taichu Path, a martial arts legend was not an unstoppable existence.
nLuo Ying’s subordinates looked at each other. They did not understand what had happened, so they also did not make any comment.
n“Don’t worry, madam, don’t worry. Just leave everything here to us!”
nOne of Luo Ying’s men beat his own chest loudly, unaware that death was quickly approaching.
nSatisfied, Luo Ying then left through a secret underground tunnel.
nAn hour later, Lu Xuan had made his away in front of the villa.
nEmanating from inside the villa, he could sense a number of strong auras, which were clearly far superior to the average human’s.
nEven though a normal person could not sense it, to Lu Xuan, it was as dazzling as a bright light in the black of night.
nBang!
nIt happened just as Luo Ying’s subordinates were trying to think of a plan to accomplish the mission their mistress Luo Ying had assigned them.
nThe main door was kicked open, and a young man strode in.
n“Where’s Luo Ying?” the young man demanded in a loud voice.
n“Are you… that Lu Xuan?” The men all looked towards the young man. Wasn’t this Lu Xuan kid one of the people that Luo Ying had asked them to investigate during this period?
nTheir brains shut down for a moment. According to the information they received, Lu Xuan should be a normal person without any cultivation, but now he was kicking down the door with one kick and aggressively confronting them.
nLu Xuan scanned the roomful of Luo Ying’s subordinates. There were about a dozen of them, and among them was a number of burly strongmen. One could tell at a glance that these men practiced martial arts. Their temples were bulging, a sign that their level of cultivation was not low.
nHowever, the other men came in all shapes and sizes and had very unusual appearances.
nThere was one whose entire body was red like flames, one with fists that looked like boulders, and another one who had sprouted a pair of wings on his back.
nThese men were obviously not average cultivators but Awakened.
nThey must have eaten some kind of fruit to manifest these strange and varied forms.
nThe men recognized Lu Xuan, and Lu Xuan, in turn, recognized them as well. In his past life, he had a honeymoon period with Luo Ying, so, needless to say, he knew that these men were all Luo Ying’s subordinates.
nBack then, when Lu Xuan had uncovered Luo Ying’s sinister intentions and made an enemy out of her, some of the men who came after his life were these men here.
n“I guess it’s true that enemies often cross paths!” Lu Xuan grinned widely as he remarked. He was all too aware of who these people were, and not a single one of them was a good person.
nThis group was specially gathered together by Luo Ying to do the Luo family’s dirty work.
n“I’ll ask you one more time. Where is Luo Ying?” Lu Xuan demanded again coldly.
n“You’re really courting death. You think you have the right to say the mistress’ name like that?” One of the strongmen stood up, stretching out a hand as large as a straw stool to grab Lu Xuan by the head.
nHowever, before his hand even reached Lu Xuan, a long sword made of condensed Spiritual Qi came chopping down, slicing off the strongman’s arm in the blink of an eye.
nSplurt!
nThe burly man screamed out in pain as his arm dropped to the floor with a thud, fresh blood splattering out from the wound.
n“Aaah!” The strongman scurried backward, his ferocious gaze giving way to a look of terror.
nIt was as though he had seen a beast and a devil!
n“Do I have the right to say it now?” Lu Xuan asked, staring at them icily.
nIn a flash, the men had sprung to their feet, looking at Lu Xuan with eyes full of horror.
n“Let’s attack him all at once. I don’t believe that he can deal with all of us by himself!” one of the men shouted out. They were shaken to their core, as the strength Lu Xuan displayed was far too powerful, overturning everything they thought they knew.
nWhether it was among the Awakened or the cultivators, such a fearsome power did not exist.
nIn a moment, the men pounced together like starving wolves towards Lu Xuan.
nStill, Lu Xuan did not panic, spreading out his palm to condense a mass of Spiritual Qi in his hand, and shaping it into the form of a long sword.
nThe long sword flashed out, and in an instant, one of the strongmen was slashed in two. The fresh blood gushing out was stopped by Lu Xuan’s Shield of Vigor.
nThese men were either cultivators, or the Awakened, or warriors, and each one of them was more valiant than the last, but none of them could block a single blow from Lu Xuan.
nIn the time span of a few short breaths, Lu Xuan had slain all of them, leaving no survivors.
nIn that few moments, the entire villa was covered in corpses, flowing with rivers of blood.
nLu Xuan did not even blink at the sight. He had seen his fair share of scenes of carnage in his past life, and even a sight a hundred times gorier than this would not be enough to move him.
n
