nChapter 331: Chapter 331
nIt wasn’t any ordinary Korean sausage.
nIt wasn’t the cheap type that he had eaten when he was little.
nThe Korean sausages in front of Min Sung’s eyes were different from ordinary Korean sausages that normally only contained noodles.
n“What is this?” Min Sung asked.
n“It’s blood sausage,” Jang Woong replied.
nBlood sausages.
nIt was Korean sausages filled with meat, tofu, and eggs.
nOn the outside, it didn’t look very delicious, but Min Sung felt curious and excited by the fact that they weren’t the normal Korean sausages that contained noodles.
nMin Sung moved his chopsticks toward the blood sausages.
nAs soon as one entered his mouth, Min Sung’s body trembled.
nMin Sung was so surprised by the new flavors that his pupils dilated.
nIt melted in his mouth, and the salty taste of the meat and the savory scent made him happy.
nOn top of that, the meat inside the Korean sausages felt as though they were scratching against his tongue.
nIt tasted so amazing that he was in awe.
nMin Sung looked at Woong Jang with satisfied eyes.
n“I’d better taste your Korean sausage soup next time. This is delicious.”
n“Yes, Sir.”
nWoong Jang smiled and joined him in the meal.
nMin Sung nodded and put another piece of Korean sausage into his mouth in surprise, and he looked happy once again.
n***
nHo Sung Lee opened his eyes.
nHo Sung Lee, who was lying down in the car, slowly got back up and scanned the outside of the windows with swollen eyes.
nSince he arrived in the middle of the night, he decided to take a nap not too far from his destination.
nA moment later, Ho Sung Lee started his car again and drank a bottle of water before taking off.
nThere was an area called ‘X-HIT’ nearby.
nThat area could only be accessed by hunters, and since they welcomed new hunters to join, it was a rough neighborhood.
nHo Sung Lee smoked his cigarette and slowly moved toward the building surrounded by a metal fence.
nThat must’ve been X-HIT.
n“What kind of name is X-HIT? It sounds like a wrestling name.”
nWhile Ho Sung Lee mumbled to himself while smoking, he saw the metal gates open, and two men approached his car with weapons in their hands.
nHo Sung Lee took out his hunter license with the cigarette still in his mouth.
nThe two hunters with unknown nationalities checked Ho Sung Lee’s hunter license.
nThe two hunters compared the ID to Ho Sung Lee’s face and then gestured for him to go inside.
nHo Sung Lee winked and entered X-HIT.
nHo Sung Lee saw low-rise houses and children running around as he raced down the road. He then tilted his head at the adults.
nThe place was crawling with drug addicts and hunters, but the place almost looked like just an average village.
n‘Are they the hunters’ families?’
nThat was probably the case. It was rare for people with no relation to hunters to live in this area.
nAfter all, it wasn’t the safest place.
nEven among the hunters in drug organizations, there were different cliques.
nThat was the organizational habit of human beings.
nAfter racing through the dirt, Ho Sung Lee headed toward the destination that was indicated by the information given to him by the Shadow Guild.
nIn order to find out what they were like, he had to join their organization. That was the only way to truly find out how they were doing.
nAs soon as Ho Sung Lee reached the building, he threw his cigarette out the window.
nScreech!
nAfter parking his car, he got out of the driver’s seat.
nThe building was painted white on the outside, and there were some cracks here and there.
nThis shabby building was his first step to entering the criminal organization.
nHo Sung Lee sighed and began walking.
n‘I can’t get caught.’
nHo Sung Lee controlled his mind and entered the building.
nThe building wasn’t very big, the elevator only went to 5 levels, and the first level didn’t even have a lobby.
nWhen he entered through the entrance, he saw stairs leading to the basement, and there were also stairs going upstairs.
nAnd in the middle of the stairs to the basement was a black man in his 20s playing a game on his phone with earphones in.
nAs soon as Ho Sung Lee approached the stairs to the basement, the black man looked up at HO Sung Lee.
nWhen Ho Sung Lee stared down at him, the black man took out his earphones.
nHo Sung Lee pressed his language watch so that he could speak with him no matter what language he was speaking.
n“I came to join. Where can I go?” Ho Sung Lee asked.
nThe black man scanned Ho Sung Lee and then signaled him to go downstairs.
nThe black man put his earphones back in and opened the door for him.
nHo Sung Lee put his hands in his pockets and entered through the door, and that was when he was startled.
nThat was because the sight was different from what he expected.
nHe felt like he was looking at a fancy pub.
nRed, blue, and orange interior along with gold lighting.
nHe saw hunters throwing darts, and while there were hunters enjoying drugs on one side, there were hunters enjoying gambling on the other.
nMost of them were drinking beer or whiskey.
nThe image was completely different from Ho Sung Lee’s expectation of a scary-looking place.
nWhile he scanned around with surprised eyes, he sensed someone approaching from behind.
nThere was a woman with short silver hair, and she had a bright smile on her face.
n“Hello, stranger.”
nHer husky voice was sexy.
nShe was wearing a knit tank top, so Ho Sung Lee’s eyes went to her breast before he gulped.
nShe was a charming foreigner.
n“Zenith”
nAs soon as Ho Sung Lee offered a handshake with his fake name, she slowly took Ho Sung Lee’s hand.
n“I’m Anna.”
nShe then stared at Ho Sung Lee and put a cigarette into her mouth.
n“Do you have a lighter?” Anna asked.
nHo Sung Lee took out a lighter, and she leaned closer as if she wanted him to light it for her.
nHo Sung Lee lit her cigarette, and Anna breathed in while continuing to stare at Ho Sung Lee.
nThen…
n“Follow me.”
nAnna breathed out and turned around.
nAfter scanning around him, Ho Sung Lee followed her.
nThey passed the crowds of people, and Ho Sung Lee arrived in front of a door that was labeled ‘guest.’
nAfter knocking, she entered through the door, and Ho Sung Lee also entered the guest room.
nInside the guest room was a muscular man with no shirt on who was laughing as if he was high on drugs.
nWhat left a strong impression were the tattoos all over his body.
nHe watched Ho Sung Lee enter the room with lazy eyes and rubbed a white powder off of his nose.
n“Welcome to X-HIT, my friend,” the muscular man said.
nHo Sung Lee nodded and then scanned the room.
nInside the room was only the muscular man and Anna, and the room wasn’t very big.
nHo Sung Lee met eyes with Anna with short silver hair, who escorted him to the room.
nShe drank whiskey and gave him a seductive smile.
n“Hunter license,” the tattooed man said with his hand out.
nHo Sung Lee handed him his fabricated ID. He felt nervous while doing so.
nHe felt as though his life was at risk.
nAfter all, he was the underboss in the human world. If he happened to reveal his identity, problems could arise in fulfilling Min Sung Kang’s command.
nClose examinations were bound to reveal some kind of flaw.
nFor that reason, Ho Sung Lee felt nervous while watching the muscular man inspect his ID, but luckily, he didn’t catch on.
n“Sit down, my friend.”
nWhile leaning back on the sofa, he pointed at the seat next to him with his hand holding the ID.
nHo Sung Lee sat down.
nThe muscular man put down Ho Sung Lee’s ID on the table in front of them.
nAs soon as Ho Sung Lee reached to grab it.
n“Look here.”
nThe muscular man leaned and glared at Ho Sung Lee.
nHe didn’t look friendly.
nHo Sung Lee met eyes with the man with the ID in his hand.
nThe man stared at Ho Sung Lee and grinned.
n“You have no fear… or greed.”
nHo Sung Lee continued to look him in the eyes.
nHe felt nervous inside, but he didn’t let it show.
nWhen he thought about the hardships he endured with Min Sung Kang, this was nothing to be afraid of.
nHe just felt responsible for carrying out his mission.
nHo Sung Lee had been through a lot in his life.
n“Why are you at X-HIT?” The man asked Ho Sung Lee.
n“Money, that’s the only reason,” Ho Sung Lee replied.
nSome time passed as they looked into each other’s eyes.
nHo Sung Lee felt like it was a long time, but it actually wasn’t long.
nThe man looked at Ho Sung Lee in the eyes and smirked.
n“You have a lot of spunk for someone at a low level. I feel like you could become a great asset to the family.”
nThe man leaned back on the sofa again and smiled.
nThe level on top of Ho Sung Lee’s head was fabricated as well.
nIf he used an item, it wasn’t hard to find out his real level, but no one went through all that trouble for no reason.
n“Give it to him.”
nWhile the man put a cigarette in his mouth while staring at Ho Sung Lee, Anna, who escorted him here, brought Ho Sung Lee a necklace.
n“This is a token proving that you’re a part of X-HIT now.”
nThe token was a necklace with a skull pendant with a crack across it.
nBefore Ho Sung Lee could put it on, the man opened his mouth.
n“If you join our organization but then decide to go to another organization and hand them our information…”
nThe man’s eyes grew cold.
n“I’ll chase you down until you die. That’s our rule.”
nHo Sung Lee stared at him and put the necklace around his neck.
nThe man looked at Ho Sung Lee with satisfaction and smiled.
n“When do I start?” Ho Sung Lee asked.
nThe man put out his cigarette and sniffled his runny nose.
n“Get used to X-HIT first by having some fun. That friend will help you out.”
nThe man pointed at Anna with his chin and then got up from the sofa and entered the washroom.
nHo Sung Lee stared at Anna.
nAnna gave him a charming smile, and Ho Sung Lee thought inside his head.
nIf it was back in his Diamond Clan days, he wouldn’t have survived a week.
nX-HIT.
nHe felt like it was a dangerous place.
n
