Chapter 555 - Much Happier Now

nThe little girl frowned when she recalled how that same man had watched the entire show from start to finish without interfering.
nHer counterpart might have missed it but she had caught a glimpse of his eyes being focused on them.
nHe had watched in silence as Yvonne and Hilda interacted and had also known all too well that the Earl's daughter had done no wrong.
nYet, he remained a tight-lipped bystander throughout the incident without speaking up about what he had been a witness to.
nWhile it was true that he was shocked to see his nephew slap Miss Yvonne's hand away, he had done nothing when she was being accused and also let everyone believe that she was the one in the wrong.
nIf 'Yvonne' had been unable to speak up for herself and her friends had not come forward to speak in her favor, then it was sure that she would have been branded as the culprit who was targeting the new lady.
nAfter coming to this conclusion, the little girl sneered at that man who was biased towards the Female lead right from the very beginning.
nStaring at the branches above in the sky, Yvonne was annoyed with the dream that she had seen.
nShe knew what had taken place in the script but what she saw from Yvonne's standpoint gave her a different view on these events.
nThings did not seem as simple as they appeared and the characters involved were also not as she had expected them to be.
nThis only made her wish to stay further away from them as her future was already too unpredictable as it was and she did not wish for any further complications to arise.
n___
nWhile the little girl was sighing at the dreams which were exposing the deleted scenes of Asmodeus' script, there was someone who was watching her with amusement and interest.
n'How many times has she sighed from the moment she woke up?' The peeping tom wondered while continuing to watch her.
nYvonne had no clue about this figure, peeking at her from behind a tree's trunk from the moment she had woken up from her nap.
nMidnight blue hair fluttered in the wind but he could not sort it out as his hands were too full at this moment.
nThe young boy who was also seen in Yvonne's dream was currently watching her from the sidelines.
nHoward, her elder brother, had arrived many minutes ago and had decided to surprise her with what he had found.
nHowever, before he could do so, he noticed that she was staring at the sky above with her brows furrowed.
nShe seemed too mysterious, invoking his desire to learn more about her from the shadows.
nIt had been over three years since the accident which had caused her to lose her memories.
nEver since that incident, his little sister had changed which he had initially suspected to be a sly scheme to lower his guard.
nYet even after observing her for many months, she had not gone back to her old ways and even tried to become close to him.
nOn various occasions, she had the opportunity to cause troubles for him and even blame him for her mischiefs but she had never done anything of that sort ever again.
nThis made the young boy wary at first but when he noticed her sincerity, he realized that she had truly changed for the better.
nHow could he hate his sister when she was trying to mend their relationship?
nTherefore, he had not continued to ignore her efforts and decided to accept the hand that she had stretched out towards him to make peace between the siblings.
nThinking of the fun they had together after they put aside their differences made the young boy smile.
nHe was much happier now as there was no one who was trying their hardest to get him in trouble.
nHe also found a sparring partner in his little sister which he was most grateful for.
nHe had been so engrossed with the good things in his life that he had forgotten that his sister was, once upon a time, the source of all his pains.
nThe expression she had right now was similar to the one she would have when lost in thought about something serious.
nThe outcome of such instances was usually him being punished for crimes he had never committed.
nThis brought back bad memories from the past and a shudder ran down his spine.
nHowever, for some reason, he was sure that whatever it was that she was focusing on, it could not be harmful to him.
nShe had gained his trust through her actions these past few years and he was sure that she would do no such thing anymore.
nThus, the young boy remained there in his hiding spot and watched his sister's thoughtful expressions with curiosity laced in his eyes.
nHis hands were still occupied by the plums he had gone to pluck for her as per the promise he had made in exchange for the vegetable growing in the garden planted for her.
n
"What are you doing?
" A breath landed on his ear, bringing with it the whisper which managed to straighten his spine.
nHoward had been hiding here for a few minutes but he had not felt anyone sneaking up to him.
nTherefore the thought of an entity without a presence standing right behind him sent a shiver down his spine.
nTurning his head mechanically, Howard's trembling body froze when he saw the figure that came into his sight.
n
"You!
" He yelled and in the next second, a scowl took over his face.
nThe young boy frowned when he saw that the one now standing before him was someone with murky green hair.
n
"Jackson! What are you doing, sneaking around without a sound!?
" Howard glowered at the one who had almost scared him to death during broad daylight.
n
"It's Jax!
" The young butler shot back, correcting the name which had been used for him.
nThe two appeared to be at loggerheads with each other as neither of them wished to back down from a fight.
n
"Brother? Jax?
" A confused voice diverted their attention only to find that the little girl was now seated on the picnic blanket with her gaze directed at them.
nYvonne's thoughts about her supposed 'future husband' had come to an abrupt halt after hearing hushed voices coming from a certain direction.
nDemon had been silent until now to not disturb her in any way but when he found her turning in that direction, he informed her regarding who those voices belonged to.
nTherefore, the little girl wasn't worried about who it was and had called out to them even when they were hidden behind the huge trunk of a tree, blocking them from her view.
nHoward and Jax stepped out and walked towards her as she had already noticed their presence.
nThe brother had been away when she was taking her nap while the butler was back at the mansion, completing his duties there.
nSeeing them here, Yvonne first glanced at Howard's hands carrying the plums and a soft rumble of her hungry stomach echoed around them.
nEmbarrassed at what had just happened, she coughed before glancing at her butler.
nShe had already informed him of her itinerary which was to spend time in the woods with her brother so she wondered why he had come here at this time.
nJax did not wish to bring up the topic of his Boss' grumbling tummy after she just pretended that nothing had happened.
nHence moved to the other matter which most certainly was urgent.
n
"Boss, the Earl has summoned you and Master Howard immediately.
" He disclosed the cause of his sudden appearance in this part of the estate.
nHoward and Yvonne frowned as this was the first time that their father had summoned them ever since they had arrived here.
nThe cause of this summon could either be good news or bad one.
nSharing a glance, the siblings wished that it would be good news but they would never know if they did not leave right now.
n
"Let's go.
" Yvonne declared as she hopped to her feet before shooting a glance at her etcher.
nDemon grasped her signal and soon followed after her as the small group of youngsters began walking in the direction of the mansion.
nThe picnic blanket was left in the same spot as the maids could handle it but the plums remained secure in Howard's hands as they strode away from this serene and entrancing repose that the children often visited.
n
