Chapter 612 - Our Children Will Get Along

Lady Patrina glanced at her daughters only to find that her youngest child was nowhere to be found.

However, she did not panic as Rika was a frequent visitor to this Palace and had assured her before arriving here that she would be safe even if she stepped away for a little while.

Therefore, the mother of five did not panic at her absence but fixed her eyes on the other two girls who remained.

Noticing her diverted attention, the other ladies, Duchess Tanner and Countess St. Claire also turned to discern what had caught her eye.

There, they found a taller girl leaning just a little as she whispered something to the other present there.

"I was worried that they wouldn't get along…

" Lady Patrina smiled in relief at this sight.

She had often heard about her daughter, Aleena being rude to others but she knew that her child wasn't a bad apple.

Aleena only had the habit of speaking her mind and doing as she pleased as a result of watching her three elder brothers doing the same.

The children in the Kiron family weren't people who hid their animosity in their hearts while pretending to be close to the one they disliked.

Lady Patrina's first son was also called rude by the other nobles because he did not put on a facade and act in a way that pleased others while concealing what was on his mind.

Aleena was closest to him so she had adopted his personality as well,

She was straightforward and another trait that was unique to her was that she had a short temper.

Her outbursts were common as a child but she was learning to control them under the guidance of her third son, Jacob.

Thus, Lady Patrina was smiling when she saw her little girl conversing with Miss Yvonne in a normal way and there seemed to be no argument among them.

Raylene chuckled while Duchess Beatrice showed a mysterious smile.

'That child was said to have a rough tongue and hot temper.' The Duchess recalled the rampant rumors concerning this daughter of her friend.

While she had interacted with Aleena on numerous occasions, she too felt that this child wasn't bad at heart and only got riled up too easily.

'And I even know who does that to her.' She shook her head as the other party in almost all of the arguments Aleena was involved in were with the same person.

This made Beatrice suspect that the other child in these incidents had a crucial role to play in Aleena's misconduct.

However, at the Kiron's tea party where she had seen the daughter of the St. Claire family for the very first time, Beatrice had noticed both Aleena and Rika displaying signs of hostility towards Yvonne.

She had later heard from her son, Topher, about the incident that had taken place away from the location of the tea party.

Luckily, Topher had intervened before the girls had done anything to Yvonne as it was her first time at a public event which might scare her to join them again.

As expected, since that day, Yvonne had not attended any social events for a very long time.

When she had invited her acquaintances to Ocular's caravan, she had seen how Aleena had barely interacted with Yvonne and left with her brother who, as always, was being followed by Cecily Yona.

That day ended with no incident occurring and after that, they rarely met again until it was Topher's birthday.

Out of nowhere, rumors about Yvonne had begun spreading throughout the Capital and through Raylene's intervention and support, the child was brought before the eye of the public again and the rumors were thwarted.

Today, Beatrice did not know how Yvonne would behave with other people as she had already understood that the little girl disliked getting too close with others.

Therefore, this well-wisher and admirer of hers was hoping that she would not have to face any troubles with any of the other girls, Aleena included.

So watching the two girls conversing as though it was a normal thing for them to do, made even Beatrice smile as this was a favorable outcome in her opinion.

Raylene held Lady Patrina's hand after seeing the worries wash away and relief overwhelm the frail-looking lady.

"Marchioness, I have a feeling that our children will get along with each other.

" She assured and even glanced at their sons who were also keeping themselves busy with their conversation.

A chuckle left Patrina's lips as she nodded in agreement.

Duchess Tanner then glanced at her son, Taylor, and raised her brow in amusement when she found him being an active member in the conversation they were deeply engrossed in.

However, in the next second, her eyebrows furrowed when she heard a name being announced.

The arrival of another noble family brought everyone's attention away from whatever it was that they were doing and in unison, they all turned to look at the one who had just entered the garden.

A man held onto his wife's palm as he escorted her into the garden and behind them were their two children, the older one, a boy while the younger was a girl.

While a few people were happy to see them, most others frowned as though their good mood had just fallen to the ground upon witnessing this sight.

After all, the ones who had arrived were known for their terrible reputation among the nobles.

Earl Tobit Blaise held his chin high as he walked into the venue with his wife, Countess Leona Blaise.

Yvonne narrowed her eyes while looking at the family who had targeted her and her family in the past.

This Earl Tobit Blaise was the one who had spread rumors about Rutherford's impending marriage with his sister, Sophia Blaise even before any final decision had been made by the two heads of their families.

However, when Rutherford had married Raylene, Earl Blaise even spread hostility against the 'homewrecker' Raylene among the other noble ladies.

It was Rutherford's sly mind and his father's stern declaration that had proved Raylene's innocence and safeguarded her from further harm.

If that wasn't enough, Earl Blaise was a greedy businessman who for the sake of profits, even went as far as tormenting a commoner family whose business he had uprooted.

The grievance of the Hagen family, whose soap recipe he had used to make thousands of gold coins, was still something that Yvonne had not forgotten.

'Then there's that…' Yvonne recalled someone else from this family who had harmed her.

Standing beside the Blaise couple were two young children.

Yvonne had learned about them from her tutor so she knew exactly who they were.

Standley Blaise, the proud and only son of Earl Blaise, was a few years older than Howard while Mae Blaise was the same age as him.

The little girl was least bothered about Standley as he had not yet messed with her and her attention was on the girl beside him.

'Mae Blaise…' She smirked while looking at the one who had initiated the rumors about her sickness to the point of being on her deathbed.

Yvonne had asked her tutor, Marquess Samed to find the culprit behind those rumors and the arrow had pointed towards this daughter of Earl Blaise.

She still had no understanding about why Mae would go so far to target her but right now, that did not matter to her.

'I finally meet her…' She concealed her smirk before anyone else could catch it.

After all, she had her own plans on how to deal with this pair of father and daughter.

Initiation of her business, CLOVER, was just the first step in her retaliation against the Blaise family who had dared to harm her.

There was still time to deal with Mae so Yvonne decided to stay silent and observe her for a little longer.

The Blaise family who had just entered was supposed to meet the host first but unfortunately, Queen Zena had already left the garden after greeting Earl Mikren, as she had another important matter to attend to.

Therefore, they could only follow the hierarchy and head to the next family to greet them.

By now, Rutherford had returned to his wife's side and even Duke Tanner and Topher had arrived.

Marquess Kiron appeared as well and greeted those who were with his wife before smiling at his children.

Noticing that Miss Yvonne was with them, he displayed a brilliant smile before speaking a few words with her.

The others who weren't aware of what had taken place inside the Throne room when the St. Claire family were called to meet the King, were left surprised to see that Marquess Jace Kiron was already acquainted with this little girl.

Though Marquess Kiron did not reveal much about what had taken place, the others were left stranded and curious to know more.

Yvonne smiled at the Marquess as their brief reunion greeting came to an end and she turned her eyes back at the Blaise family who was now conversing with the Brodie family.

'Looks like she did not come today…' She surmised after noticing that it was only Duchess Brodie who was present with her husband.

Their daughter was nowhere to be seen ever since Yvonne and her family had entered the garden.

However, she rejoiced in the next second as not meeting the main characters even after entering the Palace would be a blessing for her.

'Meeting the King and Queen should be enough for me today.' She declared and hoped that they would be the only royal family members she meets today.
