Chapter 36 - Confrontation Part I

n

n

nMaria had two days to think over her options. In the end, she realized, the more she dragged it, the more she and Rose would suffer in the future.

nMe: Can you help me? Could you tell me the next time my husband goes to meet the slut?

nMaria didn't have to wait too long for a response, but it wasn't as immediate as the first time.

nTWO: Hmm. Sure. What are you going to do with this information?

nMe: Confront him and ask for a divorce.

nTWO: I see you have made up your mind. But I should remind you, the lady is a psychopath.

nMe: …

nMe: Real psychopath or Gen Z psychopath?

nTWO: Haha.

nTWO: She was clinically diagnosed.

nMe: …

nTWO: It was in the report you know?

nMe: Sorry, my mistake, I seemed to have been too absorbed in the fact that my husband was cheating on me. I know, I should have had my priorities set straight.

nTWO: Deprecating sarcasm.

nTWO: Are you sure you're not a Gen Z too?

nMe: Never ask a woman for her age.

nTWO: Noted.

nTWO: They're meeting at XXXXXX Motel at 9 PM tonight.

nMe: Thank you.

nMaria didn't know if she should feel depressed that her husband was going to be meeting up with a mistress in just a few hours or if she should be glad that she could proceed with her plans.

nShe wanted to cry but no tears were shed. Perhaps she had exhausted them all in her sleep.

nHours passed as seconds for Maria as the awaited time arrived.

nMe: Are you coming back for dinner tonight?

nHusband: No. I have a company meeting tonight, I won't be home till late. Tuck Rosy in early. Don't wait for me.

nMe: Okay.

nAt least Maria agreed with her soon to be ex-husband in something. She should stop waiting for him. He had obviously long stopped waiting for her.

nThis husband of hers obviously didn't see her as much. They were going to a motel just minutes away from their home. Just the notion made Maria sick.

n

"Rosy, mommy has to go out to take care of something really quick okay? Can you sleep early?

" Maria didn't want Rose to see the confrontation that was going to happen in the hotel.

nRose hesitated for a bit before agreeing.

nMaria watched as her daughter turned around to tuck herself to bed. What she didn't see was the teary glaze that covered Rose's eyes.

nMaria locked the door before heading off in the direction of the hotel.

nFrom the shadows of the dimly lit house, another figure appeared. Rose, who had heard the shutting of the door pulled a short chair over holding the spare key.

nThe streetlights illuminated her path as she followed her mother's moving figure and Maria, who had yet to find out that her daughter had followed her, only had one thing in her mind.

nTo catch those two **ers in the act and get a divorce with full custody of her daughter.

n***

nRose made sure to keep a safe distance away from her mommy as she followed her so that she wouldn't be caught.

nShe learned this the hard way while playing ultimate cops and robbers with her friends at the playground.

nShe wasn't very inconspicuous, but Maria didn't notice.

nRose followed all the way to the crappy motel and her whole face scrunched up when she got there.

n'Why is mommy coming to this stinky place to sleep when she can sleep with not stinky Rose! Humph!'

nShe was about to go confront her mommy about this when she saw that her daddy was there too.

n'I knew it! They're going out to have fun without Rose (ಥ﹏ಥ).'

n'But who's that other woman? Mommy's friend? Why is he so close to daddy?'

nRose was even more confused as to why her mommy wasn't greeting her daddy. She was just like her, watching behind a pillar. It was truly a strange sight for strangers. Well, there weren't many people here, to begin with though.

nThe person at the front desk, who hadn't been doing much all day thought about asking that little girl what she was doing, but then he realized… he didn't really care.

nRose moved to the pillar that her mommy had been hiding behind when she saw that her mommy had moved. She didn't get why her daddy had gone inside the room with the other lady without mommy, but she didn't think too much into it when she saw her mommy knock on the door.

nLoud muffled sounds and shuffling noises were heard before the door was opened by an annoyed man.

nRose's daddy.

nHis eyes widened and his face visibly paled when he saw who was behind the door waiting for him. He stood there for a good while like an idiot.

nRose had the urge to rush to her father but was scared of the consequences of being caught sneaking out.

nFrom her position, she could barely hear what was said at first, but the conversation slowly got louder and louder, so it was no trouble for her to hear the later parts.

nRose could tell that the situation wasn't good. She was incredibly scared when she saw her mommy's scary face. She had never seen her angry like this before.

n*Bam*

nRose's eyes widened when she saw her father falling to his knees. Her whole expression froze.

n

"Don't do this… Please… for our daughter. Think of how sad Rosy would be!

" Rose couldn't understand what he meant, but she recognized that they were talking about her.

n'Are mom and dad getting into a fight because of me?'

n

"Why didn't you think of our daughter when you decided to betray our marriage.

" Maria's expression was scarily cold. She had already shed her emotional side in the past two days and even if there was something felt, she would still put it aside to get the job done.

nNow was the time to stay strong for her daughter as well as herself.

nThe door of their room was wide open, and Maria couldn't help but move her gaze inside. There stood a woman in her late 20s.

nHer expression looked incredibly complicated. Both her eyebrows and fists tightened in frustration and her lips formed a straight line.

nShe didn't know if she was going to be happy that the couple was having a fallout or if she was going to blow the top because the man that she was going to spend the night with was now kneeling at another woman's feet.

nWell, she didn't have to think for very long because before she knew it, she was already walking towards Maria.

n

"Yeah, so what are you going to do about it. We've already been sleeping together for so long and you've only figured it out now?

" Her chin lifted in obvious disdain.

n*Pah*

nMaria wasn't going to take any crap from this slut.

nShe slapped her right across the face leaving a scorching red palm print.

n

"You must be really proud of yourself.

"

n***

n1 hour ago.

nEmilin who had gotten back to her hotel was laying on her bed resting her eyes.

n*Ring*

nBig Brother Theo: Remember Maria, that woman that you gave my contact to?

nRose's little figure flashed in Emilin's mind.

nMe: Yeah.

nMe: Has she made a choice yet?

nBig Brother Theo: Today. She left for a head-to-head confrontation.

nMe: Hm… Should I go to check it out?

nBig Brother Theo: If you want to. I'm worried about her safety. The person she is facing is a real doozy.

nMe: Send me the address.

nBig Brother Theo: XXXXXX Motel, they should be getting there at 9 PM.

nMe: Thanks. You should really be sleeping you know?

nBig Brother Theo: Well I'm worried something will happen today; I'll sleep more when everything is solved. I have no morning classes tomorrow.

nEmilin thought that it would be enough to just give the mother-daughter pair a helping hand, but it seems that she became more attached than she was willing to admit.

nWhen Emilin thought about the possibility of Rose getting hurt when she could have done something to prevent it, Emilin felt a tinge of guilt in her heart.

nEmilin's eye's narrowed when she realized her own thoughts.

nIt was already strange to be so concerned about a stranger, acquaintance at most, but now she was even feeling guilty about something that had yet to happen and might not ever happen.

nShe thought back to those clear blue eyes.

nFilled with untainted purity.

nRose's azure eyes seemed to be something that Emilin subconsciously wanted to protect and now that she realized it, she felt a sense of familiarity from them.

nThis was something that she had to further study at a later date.

n
