Chapter 128 - Different Frame
-Four months ago-
“…That is weird,” Blass commented.
“It really is…”
There was a beaten up Dohyuk slumped down on the ground inside the dome. Dohyuk declared that he will not invest his coins for his stats.
-I haven’t learned your skills yet, so I will perfect the skill before I increase my stats.
It was logical, and that’s why Dohyuk concentrated on learning the skill.
“Hey.”
“…”
“I need to talk. Stay with me.”
Dohyuuk turned to Blass and put his hand in his pocket to bring out a bracelet.
“Di…gest.”
And with the light, Dohyuk turned back to normal and rose up.
“You beat me up all you want. What’s so weird?”
“You’ve become strong.”
“What?” Dohyuk raised his eyebrows, “Thanks, but you make it sound like it’s a bad thing.”
“No.”
Blass then showed his left arm.
“This is from you.”
There was a scratch on his metal arm.
“…Oh.”
Dohyuk knew that Blass’s power was about at 30 percent, but even if Dohyuk struck him with all of his might, there was no way he could damage it. At least that’s what it was like a month ago.
“This isn’t the first time. It was two weeks ago when you made the first scratch. But I didn’t tell you right away.”
It was very shallow at first, but it became more apparent as the days went by.
“That’s… really weird as you said,” Dohyukrepeated. It was good that he became strong. But why? He didn’t increase his stats.
“I think it’s because of me.”
“What?”
“There’s something else that I also didn’t tell you.” Blass added, “My power isn’t at 30% now. I increased it little by little without you noticing it for the past two weeks.”
“How much?”
“It’s almost at 40% now.”
Silence blanketed the space between them. It was Blass who spoke first.
“It’s not the skill.”
He claimed with a careful voice.
“There’s something… in your body.”
Now, Dohyuk could clearly see what had happened to his body.
“Bastard!”
A man shouted a word that probably meant something like that as he swung his club at Dohyuk. He dodged it and the club struck the metal floor of the port. The impact caused everything to shake along with the sound. The man then swung his club again, and the other men behind him were preparing to attack from all angles. However, Dohyuk did not evade the club this time.
“…!”
Dohyuk grabbed the club and did not even budge.
“Hm..”
It wasn’t just a normal club. It was as if scraps of metal had been crudely shaped together.
‘Is it Cactus Bill’s Nature?’
It was natural for them to attack Dohyuk with a weapon that was made specifically to attack him. Dohyuk then pushed the club away and kicked the man. The man was thrown to the back.
Two men then came from opposite sides. They had dual swords and staffs, but their weapons also looked just like the club. Dohyuk punched their faces with an uppercut. It was the hand movement that he learned from Blass.
However, it was impossible to use if his power outpowered them with a large margin.
‘It worked,’ Dohyuk thought to himself.
-Your body is changing.
After months of observing, Blass and Dohyuk found the answer. His body had changed a lot. It wasn’t growth, but a change.
-Is there a difference?
-Growth only happens within the limit of a given timeframe. Having larger muscles and growing taller falls into that category., But…
Dohyuk was different. His entire body frame was altering to better fit the battle, to fit his skill, and to be more powerful.
-Your body… is probably not like that of your people. You are still ‘humanoid’ in type though.
Kerubac. The sword that shaped Ilgyu’s one arm was doing something different to Dohyuk.
At about 3 months ago, Blass changed his body shape to mimic Dohyuk’s body that was still in progress. And after ten minutes of fighting, Blass asked how many coins Dohyuk had right now. As he answered, Blass spoke to him.
-If you invest them all, you will become more powerful than me.
The large blade of an axe struck down toward Dohyuk. Instead of dodging, he grabbed it with his palm. He then kicked the handle and the man who was holding it was sent flying. Dohyuk then grabbed the handle and swung it down. Through the angle he struck down with, the projectiles that were flying at Dohyuk were deflected onto the ground. Dohyuk then stomped the axe down on the port.
The ringing sound filled the area and soon, it was all quiet.
Dohyuk glanced around. There were more men coming down toward him, but they couldn’t attack anymore. They had all seen Dohyuk’s incredible force. Not to mention, it was Yoo Dohyuk they were facing after all.
“Let me tell you again.”
Everyone was focused on him.
“I came to meet Cactus Bill. I have business with him, not with you. But if you attack, that will complicate things.”
Dohyuk looked at each and every one of them. They couldn’t look directly at Dohyuk however.
“Call Bill. That is the simplest way.”
Dohyuk then stopped. People then started backing away.
And it didn’t take too long for people to divide themselves up like the Red Sea in front of Moses.
It was Cactus Bill.
