Chapter 15 - To the last one (2)

n“Hey, this isn’t what we expected,” the man growled.
nHis patience had run out, “Didn’t he run away?”
n“No, not yet,” Tall woman replied.
n“He’s still watching us…”
n“Then why isn’t he coming!”
nThe man’s voice echoed through the entire rock region. They were trying to act as if they were resting but they were now running out of patience.
n“Idiot! If you yell like that…”
n“Sh*t! Who cares about yelling! He doesn’t have food anyway! He’s probably at the brink of dying by now!”
nThe man stood up.
n“I’ll go and kill him myself. Hey, tell me where he is with your Nature.”
n“…”
nThe girl did not agree but she silently took up the water bottle and drank. She then pointed at the high rock.
n“Bastard, so was that where he was hiding? I’ll go get him, you girls prepare the ritual.”
nThe girl then took the object from the duffel bag. The tall woman also did not stop him.
n“How do I get up?”
nThe man walked around, looking to find a way. At last, he was able to get up from a place which was out of sight from the others.
nThe tall woman then realized that the number which showed someone was watching had now disappeared. This meant…
n“Hey…”
nBefore she could speak, she saw a kick from the corner where the man had disappeared off to, and the man was thrown back with his face crushed. The man tried to fight back, but his opponent was fully prepared.
nDohyuk appeared, kicking the man multiple times. He then searched the man and took the cube. The tall woman knew who he was.
n“Yoo… Yoo Dohyuk.”
nHer voice shook as she began thinking. The only option was to kneel with her cousin, apologize, and offer this shrine to him. The man was not dead yet, so the Great Emperor could use him as an offering to obtain great power.
n‘Maybe then I will live.’
nShe did not want to fight. She decided to let her cousin know about this plan and tried to turn back, but she couldn’t. Her cousin kicked her knee and used her elbow to hit her face.
n“I’m sorry. But we weren’t that close anyway.”
nThe girl grabbed her cousin’s head and crushed it down against the shrine. A stone pillar was in the duffel bag. She slammed her cousin’s head against it a few more times and she died. Blood began to flow onto the pillar. Then, the pillar began to shine.
n<
n-For 1 offering, 3 or less followers will acquire the religion.
nAnd with the blood, the pillar began to transform into a human figure. It looked more like a robot with a wide opening in the center.
n-Who wants to have my power?
nThe voice came to her and she spoke.
n“I… It’s me! I am your servant, Sung Jina.”
nShe spoke excitedly. Dohyuk was distancing himself as he was surprised by the girl’s ‘friendly fire’.
n-I see.
nThe robot took a step and hugged the girl, pulling the girl inside as if she was now the wearer of the armor. Before the front closed, she saw a message popped up.
n<
n<
nShe knew something was wrong. The armor closed, imprisoning her within.
n-Weak.
n-But I will use you as my beast.
nThen her body was crushed within the robot armor.
n“…Damn.”
nDohyuk became pale as he watched the blood dripping out from within. Then, its head turned toward Dohyuk and a message popped up.
n<
n-Strength:??
n-Stamina:85(D)
n-Agility:??
n-Magic:??
n-Endurance:??
n-Charisma:??
n-Etc:??
n-Equipment:??
nOnce a human who wished to become the servant of the God of War and Slaughter but turned into a beast instead. It has an unstable mind and body. Its only purpose is to slaughter and fulfill its master’s wish.
nThose were the same words as when he saw Chicheck for the first time. The body of armor took a step toward Dohyuk. He did not react. He could not react. It was dangerous. This was an enemy he could not handle.
n-Wow, you’re screwed.
nDohyuk turned his head. It was Basil who had appeared.
n-But it is a bit unfair. You wouldn’t know the requirements unless you provide the offerings. It always ends up destroying a region because of it.
n“That’s…”
n-There’s no other way than to destroy it. It’s not like the challenge quest we did with Chicheck, but Ka’Kudenol will give you some reward if you do manage to destroy it. But…
nHe knew what Basil was going to add.
n-You can’t beat him.
nThe robot’s hand was now turning into a vicious blade. Dohyuk tried to run, but Basil blocked him.
n-Where are you going?
n“Move. Go away if you’re done.”
n-Oh, I’m not done yet of course.
nDohyuk flinched, but he realized that it was now time.
n-Didn’t I say it? I had to come back.
n48 hours. Time was up.
n-Let me see… oh, you did collect a lot!
nBefore the angel could finish, the robot attacked. However, Dohyuk ran at it. It wasn’t to fight it. Before he was going to collide, Dohyuk jumped to the side, having the armored robot run past him. Dohyuk then began running.
n-Huh? Are you running?
nHe heard the angel’s voice, but Dohyuk did not care. He then arrived where he had intended to go. He was next to the tall woman’s body. 9th cube.
n“…Count this one too.”
nIt was the treasure that would increase the chances of his survival even slightly.
n-Whoa, look at you.
nThe angel smiled while the armored robot attacked.
n-That was close.
n<
n<
n-If you hadn’t gotten the last one…
