Chapter 74 - Connection

nLight shined brightly within the canyon. It was the light that appeared every time Dohyuk digested, but this was the brightest of all. The reason was obvious as the light was like the trace of the digest.
n<
nThe item that was digested had tremendous value. Giwon felt his body was being blown away, as the storm that formed the figure exploded. If it wasn’t for the hand that grabbed Giwon, he would’ve been swept away by the ‘particles’ of the storm, thus tearing him apart.
n“I got you.”
nDohyuk then carried Giwon on his back. Giwon couldn’t see anything because his sight was still blinded by the light, but he felt the storm raging in all directions. Yabadop didn’t scream, but the storm raged everywhere. Dohyuk then jumped up. His body had fully recovered, and before the opening closed itself up, he was able to jump out of the canyon. However, it wasn’t time to stop yet. The ground began splitting apart, creating a new crack.
n“How clingy.”
nDohyuk jumped. He ran, and when he realized he couldn’t run anymore with his screaming muscles, he realized he wasn’t in Yabadop’s region anymore so he looked back. The barren land was now gone, and it was now a giant hole, a giant, bottomless dark hole.
n“It’s not a Godly Item then,” Dohyuk mumbled as he looked at his hand that digested the necklace. If what he had taken was the Godly item, the region would be his by now.
n“Can you walk?” Dohyuk asked Giwon. Giwon knelt on the ground. It wasn’t because he had zero strength walk.
n“…Thank you.”
nHe spoke with a shaky voice. He wanted to say this earlier. Now he why he let his family die in his previous life.
n“If it wasn’t for you…”
nHe would’ve experienced the same thing.
n“This… this stupid thing…”
nHe looked down at the bracelet. If it wasn’t meant to be delivered to the Tyrant, he would’ve destroyed it already. This mere item made him lose everything that was dear to him. Dohyuk grabbed the bracelet.

n-Physical defense: 42
n-Durability: 100
/100
n-Option: Damage Nullification(Lv.6)
n-Skill – Infesting Compulsion (Ga.-)
nGiven by the God Yabadop. The number shows how many times the same type of equipment was issued in this world. It is not a Godly item, so it is tradeable.
nThis would be apart of the Tyrant’s full set. Giwon would give this to the Tyrant tomorrow, and by next week, the Tyrant would be heavily equipped with such items. Dohyuk checked the option it offered and gave it back to Giwon before he offered a hand to pull him up.
n“Thank you.”
nWhen Giwon held his hand, a message popped up.
n<< Disciple: Yoo Giwon>>
n-Limit: 1
/2
nIt wasn’t his first time seeing the message. He had seen many messages that popped up as he ran away from Yabadop.
n“Check if your status matches with what I’m saying.”
nThen Dohyuk said the status he saw out loud. He knew that it was Giwon’s status, and Giwon was shocked that Dohyuk was reading his status. However, it wasn’t only Giwon’s stats that he could see.
n-Faith: 91

n-Grant Divine Power
n-Divine Intervention
nDohyuk knew about granting the Divine Power. He had already given ‘Unbreakable’ to Giwon. It required him to use much more faith than he used it himself. Dohyuk then let go of Giwon’s hand.
n“Stay right there.”
nAnd then he closed his eyes.

nAnd in next moment, Dohyuk felt a strong sickness and he lowered his body.
n“Ugh…”
n“Are you okay?”
n“Yeah.”
nDohyuk raised his hand to have Giwon stay put. Nothing was wrong other than the weird feeling. Dohyuk was now Giwon. It was weird, but it was exactly that. Dohyuk was looking at the words that popped up in front of him when he held Giwon’s hand. He saw Giwon who was watching him and himself who was waving at Giwon. He could feel the air touching Giwon, smell, and hear. He felt two sets of senses at once.
n<
n“…Stop.”
nDohyuk waved his hand and the feeling stopped. Dohyuk then organized his thoughts.
n‘So… physical touch is the requirement.’
nHe was touching Giwon when he first bestowed the Divine Power to Giwon. But he could do it without touching the disciple if he used Divine Intervention.
n“If what I am seeing is right…” Giwon was probably checking his ‘status’ window. “Maybe I didn’t know much about you at all.”
nHis religion, where nothing was there before, was now replaced with Yoo Dohyuk. Dohyuk shrugged.
n“So, did that change anything?”
n“…No.” Giwon shook his head. “I will follow you. …Maybe something has changed. I can trust you more now. I will help you defeat Jung Ilgyu and take everything away from him. In return for my devotion… I ask you, my master, to allow me to fulfill my small wish.”
n-Faith: 92

nThe number increased by 1 at that moment.
n‘…A master, eh?’
nDohyuk did not respond to the word. Instead, he reached out toward Giwon, to shake hands. But Giwon knelt in front instead and held the hand with his two hands.
n‘…Is there anything different?’ Dohyuk thought.
n-Disciple
nHe didn’t know how to increase the number of disciples, but he only had a limit of two right now. Maybe it was different from followers. Then there must be a reason too…
n“Oh.”
nHe then realized the answer wasn’t in Giwon’s status.
n<
nIt was Dohyuk’s first time seeing the message. It was the Nature that Giwon had from the beginning. But to Dohyuk-
n-Acquired from Disciple Yoo Giwon.
nIt was his third Nature.
