nVillain 13. Cursed Crypts
nWith bated breath, he prepared to enter the virtual world of Hell’s Gate. He donned his VR gaming device, feeling the weight of the VR device settle comfortably around his head. He picked up their controllers, fingers twitching with anticipation as he leaned back in their seats.
nThe screen before him flickered to life, displaying the typical login screen that was all too familiar to MMORPG players. The pulsating graphics seemed to leap out of the screen, beckoning them to enter the world beyond.
nTaking a deep breath, he held out their hands, allowing the device to scan their retina. The screen flickered once more before a robotic voice echoed through the headsets.
nWelcome to Hell’s Gate. Please wait while we process your login
nHis heart pounded with excitement as he waited, watching with rapt attention as the loading bar slowly filled up. A sense of anticipation filled the air, and he could practically taste the thrill of the game world that lay just beyond.
nFinally, with a triumphant beep, the loading bar filled up, and the robotic voice spoke once more.
nLogin successful. Welcome to Hell’s Gate
nThe scenery shifted seamlessly around him as he found himself transported from the modern meeting room to the grand throne room of the medieval era. The walls were adorned with intricate tapestries, and the floors were made of polished marble. He looked down at his hands, marveling at the detail of his luxury clothes.
nHe got down from the throne, where his character had been left before, and strode forward, the clack of his boots echoing off the marble floors. The same with the others.
nThey looked around the room, taking in the opulence of their surroundings.
n“Kafra, where are you?” he called out, scanning the room for any sign of her.
nNone of them knew what they were supposed to do, and they hoped that Kafra would give them a hint or a clue.
nSuddenly, a voice rang out, causing them to jump. “I’m here,” Kafra replied, her voice laced with amusement.
nThey turned to face her, only to find that she had taken on the form of a monster bat.
nHe couldn’t help but cringe.”Why did you have to take that form?” he asked, his voice filled with concern.
nKafra landed gracefully on the edge of the throne, looking up at them with her large, beady eyes. “We can’t let the other players know that I’m helping you,” she explained. “This form will make it easier for us to move around unnoticed.”
nHe nodded, understanding her reasoning, though he couldn’t shake the unease that he felt.
n“Alright, what’s the plan?” he asked, eager to get started.
n“Start the slaughtering event, of course.” Kafra hopped off the throne and turned to face them. “Come on,” she said, spreading her wings wide. “We don’t have all day. Follow me.”
nWithout hesitation, he and the other players followed Kafra as she led them out of the throne room.
nAs they made their way through the empty corridor, Kafra suddenly stopped in her tracks. “Ah, I forgot to give you this,” she said.
nAt the same time, an announcement appeared in front of all of them.
nYou got the Cursed Crypts Map x1
nHe opened it in his inventory. A screen popped up, displaying the map of the area. It was a place called the Cursed Crypts, and there were several different locations marked on the map.
n“There’s the throne room here, a battle arena here, and a room for NPCs where you can buy potions and equipment,” Kafra explained, pointing out each location on the map. “And here’s the portal room where you can enter the player world.”
nHe studied the map carefully, taking note of each location. This would be their base of operations in the game, and it was important that they knew where everything was.
n“Alright, let’s head to the portal room,” he said, closing his screen.
nThey walked through the place until they finally reached the portal room. The room was filled with a strange energy, and he could feel the power of the portal pulsing through the air.
n“Alright, before we jump into the fray, let’s make sure we’re all equipped with the right gear,” Kafra said, turning to face the group. “Open up your inventory and equip your war armor.”
nHe opened his equipment inventory.
nDevil’s Basic Black Armor X1
nHe equipped the Devil’s Basic Black Armor and felt a thrill run through him. The black leather material hugged his body like a second skin, the spikes and chains woven into the design giving him a dangerous and edgy look. It made his character look so much cooler than before. He couldn’t help but grin as he checked out his appearance in his status.
nLooking around, he saw that the others had also equipped their armor. They all looked fierce and deadly, their weapons glinting in the dim light of the crypt. He couldn’t help but admit that they still looked sexy despite the intimidating armor.
nKafra stood in front of them, her monster bat form hovering in the air.
n“Listen carefully,” Kafra said, her voice echoing in the silence. “Our first target is Ilude. It’s a small town close to the novice town, and most of the players there are at levels 10-15. This place is also the home of the swordsman guild. Our objective is to make our presence known, to show them that we are a force to be reckoned with.”
nShe looked at each of them, her eyes scanning their faces. “I want you all to use your skills to summon as many monsters as you can even though the event will summon monsters automatically. We need to make a statement that they came from us.”
nThey all nodded, understanding the gravity of their mission. They knew that this was not just a game anymore; they were in the midst of a virtual war. They had to use all their skills and knowledge to make their mark. .
nKafra stepped back, her wings flapping as she hovered in the air. “Wait here,” she said. “I’ll make the announcement.”
