nVillain Ch 17. Bloody War Part 3

nMac was seething with anger as he watched the healer’s lifeless body crash against the wall, the sight burning into his memory. His grip on his sword tightened as he prepared to launch an attack on the Devil Emperor, but before he could even take a step forward, two other swordsmen had already charged toward the enemy.

n“Heal yourself first!” said one of them. “We will hold him!”

nMac was surprised to see the two novices he had helped earlier taking charge and charging toward The Devil Emperor. He couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride and admiration toward them. He remembered them saying that they wanted to be archers but he didn’t expect that they would change their minds and become swordsmen like him.

n“Thank you!” Mac said. Immediately, he waved his hand forward, summoned the inventory screen, and immediately took a potion to heal himself. His heart pounded wildly and his chest pounded ever since he was sure that those new swordsmen were not the Devil Emperor’s opponent.

nAnd what Mac’s prediction was right. As his character swallowed the last drop of the potion and the flask disappeared into particles in his hand and the wounds on his body were completely healed, screams sounded from the direction of the Devil Emperor.

nMac felt a surge of anger and determination wash over him as he looked back at the Devil Emperor, raising his sword in defiance. The two swordsmen who had charged at the Emperor were now lying on the ground, covered in blood, and Mac knew that he couldn’t let their sacrifice go to waste.

n“HAAAA!” Mac let out a primal scream, his sword raised high above his head, ready to strike down The Devil Emperor once and for all.

n“I’m invincible,” The Devil Emperor sneered. “You’re nothing compared to me. I am a power incarnate.”

nMac swung his sword with all his might, hoping to land a decisive blow on the Devil Emperor. But to his surprise, the emperor didn’t budge, instead, he transformed into a shadow and reappeared behind Mac in an instant.

nMac quickly turned around and saw the emperor’s claws aimed directly at him. Without hesitation, he gritted his teeth and used his sword to block the attack, meeting the emperor’s claws with a loud clash.

nThe force of the impact sent a shockwave through Mac’s body, and he struggled to maintain his footing. But he held on tightly to his sword, refusing to let go, determined to protect himself from the emperor’s deadly claw.

nMac could feel his arm tremble under the weight of the attack. He strained his muscles to keep the claw from penetrating his flesh. His eyes narrowed in concentration, and he gritted his teeth, determined not to give up.

nIt made Allen blink in surprise. A smirk appeared on his lips. “Hmm? Not bad…” he muttered. This was the first time a player counterattacked him. While he had killed many players with a higher level than Mac.

nAllen realized that level and equipment were not the only things that determined victory in this game. Without good playing skills, it would all be in vain. And Mac was one of those players. Allen believed that Mac might become his nemesis in the future. It excited him even more.

nAllen’s eyes glinted with malice as he pressed his weight against Mac’s sword. “Fool,” he snarled, his voice like venom.

nMac’s heart pounded wildly in his chest as he pushed back against the emperor’s claw. He knew that he was no match for the Devil Emperor, but he refused to give up without a fight.

nAlong with another shout, Mac fought fiercely, swinging his sword with all his might and skill against the Devil Emperor. The two clashed in a fierce battle, with sparks flying every time their weapons met.

nMac moved with agility and precision, expertly dodging the emperor’s attacks while finding openings to strike back. He knew that he had to stay focused and not let his guard down for even a moment, for the emperor was a formidable opponent with deadly claws and wicked cunning.

nDespite Mac’s best efforts, however, the Devil Emperor proved to be a formidable foe. With lightning-fast reflexes and unmatched strength, he managed to land several blows on Mac, each one sending him staggering backward.

nFinally, the Devil Emperor seized his chance, and with a powerful swing of his claws, he landed a devastating blow on Mac. The force of the attack sent Mac flying through the air, crashing to the ground in a heap. Blood flowed freely from the deep gashes on his arms and chest, staining his clothing and pooling on the ground beneath him.

nFighting to stay conscious, Mac fell to his knees, his legs giving out beneath him. His vision blurred and his head swam as he struggled to stay upright. The world around him seemed to spin and twist, his surroundings warping and distorting into a surreal nightmare.

nWith a last gasp of effort, Mac thrust his sword into the floor, using it as a makeshift crutch to support himself. He gritted his teeth against the pain, his muscles screaming in protest as he tried to remain standing.

nBut the Devil Emperor was not finished with him yet. Grinning in victory, he advanced on Mac, his eyes glinting with cruel amusement.

n“You thought you could defeat me,” he sneered. “But you are just a weak human. You are nothing compared to my power.”

nBut before Mac could answer him, an announcement showed up.

nThe war event will end in 10 seconds!

nThe countdown began, each passing second marked by a pulse of light that illuminated the screen.

nMac lay on the ground, his body battered and broken. He struggled to draw breath, each inhalation of a ragged gasp that rattled in his chest. The Devil Emperor’s subordinates gathered around him, their forms blurred and indistinct in his fading vision.

nAs he looked up at them, Mac’s eyes swept across their forms, taking in their inhuman beauty. They were all demonesses, each one more stunning than the last. Their lithe forms were clad in tight-fitting leather, their curves accentuated by the clinging material.
